This was brought up in the Discord chat, and I thought it would be worth it to post it here.
When an egg you've bred hatches shiny, the daycare offspring tab will get a count for many shines has come out of your breeding pair. Now, because it is possible for a pokemon to be hatched multiple times, most notably as part of exchanges, but also an exploration where a task involves hatching some pokemon another time, this counter gets incremented when it probably shouldn't. --------------------   All my stuff is viewable by everyone on my public page.
