Vivillon have introduced a new type of forme this generation specific to region and climate where you live. I took to them immediately! Why not take advantage of this global forum to help 'Catch 'Em All', in the name of science, the Pokedex, and sparkly butterflies?

EDIT: Thanks to a trade organized on the IRC, I've added Polar to the patterns I have registered. So, my list is as follows:
Modern (my default)
Meadow (Gym battle)
Polar (trade evo)

EDIT 2: Due to a GTS trade, I've obtained an Elegant patterned Vivillon. So that can now be added to my list as well.
EDIT 3: Thanks to another GTS trade, I now have a Continental Vivillon.
EDIT 4: I now have a High Plains Vivillon, thanks again to the GTS.
EDIT 5: You can add Garden to my list of obtained patterns now.

Note: If you breed a Scatterbug, it will be the same as whatever your region normally gets, no matter the parents. That's what I read, at least. If anyone has proof otherwise, please share.

Wow. Turns out that the forme of Vivillon changes based on the region settings set at the start of a new game.

e.g. I set my region to: United Kingdom - England and got a Garden Vivillon.

Then I cleared the save data and set the region to: Norway - Svalbard. Then I started a fresh game and the Vivillon I got was Icy Snow pattern. I really like the Monsoon and Marine patterns though

Not sure if I have the time/patience to go get them all that way :s Maybe I will at some point, I guess. I hear the Monsoon pattern is one of the hardest to find...

Oh hai thar. There was me thinking that the colour of Vivillion actually changed with what 3DS you had, but I did also hear that it was countries, which makes much more sense.

Also, I've found out that the 'special event-exclusive' patterns of Poké Ball and Fancy have (or will have) distributions coming soon. The Poké Ball pattern Vivillon will be distributed at the Paris Pokémon Center from Jun. 4 - Jun. 21. The Fancy pattern Vivillon will be distributed by a as of yet undisclosed method once 100,000,000+ Pokémon have been traded on the GTS.

In my quest to breed a set of perfect Vivillon, I have generated a number of different forms that have 4-5 perfect IVs which I am willing to trade. The spoiler below details the individuals that are currently available and will be edited as items are traded away and more forms become available.

Please note, all of these items are in the Scatterbug stage and are level 1 (unless stated) with the Modest nature. I have detailed each item’s individual ability (CE for Compoundeyes and SD for Shield Dust). None have had their EVs touched. If, however, you need proof of the Scatterbug’s final form, I am happy to evolve them for you but will not pay any attention to earned EV points.

On top of this, every item’s original trainer ID is mine so I can rename them before trading (oh, the joys of owning 2 DS systems!).

Please note, when breeding Scatterbug, the final Vivillon form is set to your game’s region irrespective of the parents’ forms.
