Hey everyone,
So this is a minor issue, but if you're going to post in serious discussion, make sure a) Your post contributes to the discussion in some way. Whether you be chiming in your own thoughts or responding to a previous poster. But make sure it contributes. b) Avoid making posts that are purely jokes. You can probably do this if you've been debating a decent amount of time (use your common sense) in that particular thread and just want to throw a joke out there, which is fine. One good example I can think of is the "meaning of life" thread, where I predicted someone would post "42" but it was even worse when I saw it. Two posts back to back said "the meaning of life is 42" and they contributed absolutely nothing to the thread. Third guy posted a joke and his own two cents. This is common sense, of course, but given the number of times I've seen this I think it's appropriate to post. I myself will give verbals progressing to more serious warnings if I see more of this. Thank you! I'll leave this open for questions. -------------------- |
