[Rhapsody]

Okami's soundtrack is my favorite video game soundtrack as it has so many songs that are just.. amazing. Tribe of Heavenly Kami and Waka's Dance/Playing with Waka are my favorite tracks (one is just fitting for where it plays, and the other's pretty catchy). The Disgaea series has a pretty nice soundtrack, too - Planet X and White Tiger are my favorites from that series for their energy. TWEWY's music is also cool, even with the occasional garbled English.

I've got a few favorites.

~Power-Hungry Fool/Oliver's Fall from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is arguably my favorite. I've always enjoyed the harpsichord in it and I tend to leave the screen running for a while whenever Oliver appears. Oliver's Fall also is on my iPod. :p
~Ephemeral Dream from Soul Calibur III is another favorite of mine. Setsuka is one of my favorite characters from the game and I love the stage as well. The music complements the stage well.
~If There Were Any Other Way from the Soul Series. This is the destined battle theme in II and III as far as I know but I'm unsure as to the other games. It perfectly complements the situation in my opinion.
~Confront Julius from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. One of the best final boss themes ever made. And this is from the days of SNES as well.
~The opening theme from the SEGA Genesis version of Clue/Cluedo. This game is older than I am and it's still extremely sophisticated.
~The victory theme from the above game is also a favorite.
~Curse of the Tongue from the SEGA Genesis version of Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Once again, older than me but still a classic. It fits the stages it's played on.
~The 13th Dilemma from Kingdom Hearts II. The best Organization song by far and it always reminds me of how Xaldin kicks my ass halfway to hell each time I fight him.
~The Other Promise from Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+. I think it says something when it's in your iPod's top 25 most played songs. Absolutely beautiful score.
~The Gate of Magus from Super Robot Wars Original Generation. It's creepy but amazing. I regret deleting it from my iPod.
~Dragon Roost Island from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I just love it but I never understood why.

Except some parts were stolen off of some other songs, like Septette for the Dead Princess was taken off of Beethoven Virus, and Heian Alien was based on Heiankyo Alien.

I have to say that Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria has an awesome soundtrack (at least to me. ._.).

The Final Fantasy series also has an awesome soundtrack, of course. Same goes for SSBB. I also like most of the newer Sonic games' music.

In SSBB, my single most favorite track is "Battle Scene/Final Boss (Golden Sun)". I'm a major GS fangirl (check my username (Mars Adept Enten) and sig (my claim on Isaac) for proof), and that is easily one of the best tracks I've heard, hands down. Funny how they mislabeled it as music from the first game, when it comes from The Lost Age instead. Would it have honestly been too much work to just put the subtitle of "The Lost Age" on the end there? One wonders. Although, I believe that Sakurai-sama could have chosen a better stage for that track to play on, at the very least. I mean, really? Norfair? Metroid and Golden Sun are about as far apart in subject matter/game genre as you can get. Sci-fi adventure ≠ High-fantasy medieval RPG. Not in the very least. It'd be more fitting for even Castle Siege before Norfair. At least FE has some similarities to GS. Japanese interpretation of Medieval Europe strategy-RPG ≈ High-fantasy medieval RPG with alchemy as a major plot point. (Hint: Those weird signs between the descriptions of the game genres and such are the mathematical signs for 'not equal to' and 'almost equal to', FYI.) Personally, I would've put it on the Pictochat stage, even though that's not really the best place for it, either. Although if Isaac-kun was a playable character, and there was an actual GS stage, that would've solved that problem right there. But that's not here nor there. Which makes the fact that he was at one point during development a playable character and later demoted to an Assist Trophy even more of a WallBanger. *sighs, shakes head* (Note: The link to the Video Games WallBangers page does not mention my example there; I just put the link there to demonstrate what a WallBanger is, not to show that it was an example.)
