Refreshing party redirect to an adult site?!? |

I am NOT going to post a screencap, but when I went to refresh my tab this morning and check my party, clicking on the 'Main' side-tab didn't take me to my party. Instead, it redirected me to Adult Friend Finder. Thankfully my popup blocker caught most of it before I saw too much ick, but...since GPX was the ONLY tab I had open in Chrome, and I had not been anywhere else to get some kind of hidden ad or something, I know it was not some kind of weird error on my part.
It kind of freaked me out. I'm hoping it doesn't replicate itself, but I thought you might want to know something went weird somewhere about 10:15 a.m. EST. -------------------- I drew my avatar. Same here. My internet connection was gone for a few minutes (so it wasn't just GPX that wouldn't load for a moment), and when I reloaded the page again when the internet worked again, I got a site like that as well. It might've even been the same one. I don't quite remember the time and going through my history after all countless berry feeder sessions isn't really an easy task, but I think it happened at some point between 2:30 and 4:30 AM server time today?

Could it be related to ads? This morning I was redirected when I was trying to read a pm on my phone, which indicates that it could be something that appeared on the forums, or as I wanted to open the forums. But on my pc, I haven't noticed it at all. And that could be because I don't have ads on gpx because I have donated, and I have disabled flash, and for some reason no ads load for me on the forums, so that could be something.

Very strange. It must be ad-related, if it's affecting multiple people (ruling out OP having an infected computer). I can't block the ad if I don't have enough useful information on it though, and I can't reproduce this myself yet.

I can confirm that I don't have an infected computer. I just finished my daily virus scan with zilch. Same with Spybot, ran it manually just to make sure I hadn't picked up some unknown malware. Again, everything is normal.

Same thing happened to me about 3:30 this morning server time. My computer crashed when I tried to close out of Chrome for the night (I had already logged out of GPX+ long before this) and when I rebooted and got back onto Chrome and reloaded the tabs, GPX redirected me to the same adult site mentioned by the OP. I'm going to confess--I use an adblocker for all sites I visit, so I don't see ads at all. Dunno if that makes any sort of difference, but I'm throwing that out there. I closed out of the tab as quickly as I could and ran multiple virus scans, all which, thankfully, came back clean.
Before all this I noticed the site was a bit laggy--it kept timing out and wouldn't load, and sometimes took multiple refreshes to reload. Again, no idea if it was related or not. Haven't gone back to the site since to check, since I really don't wanna play Russian Roulette with my computer, so I'll wait for the all-clear. --------------------  Got no place to run, got no place to hide... This might be ads, because, since I am still under my donor time period, and I have not had this issue. So I guess somehow GPX picked up a rather.....inappropriate advertiser?
MEGA EDIT: As I sent this post, I got hit with the Adult Friend Finder ad, so it is NOT limited to people who get ads. Weird.... According to my history, Traffspot.com is responsible for redirecting me to Adultfriendfinder.com. If that helps. Anyway. The same website popped up for me and two other friends. I'm a donor that currently does not see any ads, and yet that still shows up. Curious. This is the 4th time it popped up today so I grabbed the popup link that leads to the adult website(s). If it's required by the admins I'll provide the link in private. The link I've got is different from those posted but it does load the first one you named, which redirects to the second one. --------------------  |

Was talking about this earlier and mentioned it in the IRC, don't think anybody noticed though. When I take adblock off it redirects to a dating site or something, but when adblock is on, Avast gives me several warnings of malware coming from the site. I don't think it's related to the ads because like I said, I get shit even with adblocker on.

I use the same version as Gryphaena. The only extensions I have are Adbolck Plus and the GPX+ Notifier.

So I went into my incognito on the latest chrome and was redirected to Name of Site (click to show) lol. Was kind of shocked. It got redirected again to Name of Site (click to show) when I typed gpxplus.net

I was able to reproduce this issue and have passed all of the information on to our server host so that they can do a deep scan to make sure our server itself has not been infected with malware, and hopefully help patch whatever this is.
