Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ Bug and Errors _ Female Rufflet?

Posted by: Miss Luxray Jan 9 2012, 12:46 AM

Hello, KonataIzumi messaged me today to say the her Rufflet (which i had bred) had hatched female. I checked the dex, and it says they should be 100% male, and i also checked all the other Rufflet and Braviary that i had bred and they are all male. Is this a Glitch or an Error? This is the Rufflet in question: http://gpxplus.net/info/HCKXg
Thank you

I was going to try to find a thread I read this in, but I couldn't find it.

From what I heard this is just something that happens (very little) with all Pokémon that have a 100% male of female gender. I have no idea why though, but it's not a bug as far as I know.

If that's the case, they all "100%" chances should be changed to "99%" chances. Though that's not a terribly important priority, it would be accurate.

It really wouldn't be a 99% chance though. The dex 100% is accurate but extremely rarely a 100% of one gender pokemon comes out as the opposite gender. It's just a glitch and a pretty neat one at that.

It's more like 99.99% (or even higher), which rounds to 100%.

I got a female rufflet. And I just wanted to ask if it would be considered exploiting a glitch if I use that pokemon for breeding. Because rufflet and braviary should be 100% male, it shouldn't be possible to breed 2 of them together, right? I just want this cleared out before I eventually breed them sometime in the future.

I'm not really sure, but i don't think you'd get into trouble... Like the only advantage you'd get would be more eggs.
I say go for it happy.gif

if you'v caught 100 Rufflet and all of them were male, it would ACTUALLY feel like UNNATURAL and like a glitch. Well that's just my opinion, okay.

Someone has a female Latios.

Its a really neat glitch, but thats all it is - a glitch. It doesn't hurt anything. Congratulations on your female Rufflet happy.gif She'll be the prettiest of all the boys.
