Fire Stone. You can find it randomly by surfing GPX+, but not the forum.

A fire stone is the item that you are refering to. I would also like to point out, that, one of your pokemon is a firetype pokemon already.

^ this is true, but you are probably talking about a fire stone anyways. It evolves Vulpix, Eevee, etc. If that's not what you meant then o_o

You can find it randomly by browsing any page on the 'Global PokedeX Plus' site. Randomly you will just find it, on the page you are at, you will randomly find stones/items/rocks. Stuff like that.
The firestone is used to evolve pokemon like (eevee into flareon) and (vulpix into ninetales) and (growlithe into arcanine). --------------------  Because its battle abilities were raised to the ultimate level, it thinks only of defeating its foes. My mewtwo is level 100, now if I got that to level 100, how about you click on my eggs and find your own level 100 pokemon. My current party:      Click my eggs. You know you want to, if you catch my drift. The surfing point is very valid. No guarantees what you'll get, but I just got a Sun Stone. Hooray!
