How is everyone's hatching progress for the SWSH ?

We need to win this one guys (and girls), it's been way too long.

I hatched only three shinies for now, in almost 1400 eggs, because my last hunt is annoying (600 fails and counting), but I'll keep hatching like there is no tomorrow. We're outnumbered but we rock. So we will win.

Btw I tweaked the rules a little so you can post your SWSH shinies, I feel they're relevant to the group.

I haven't hatched one, been awhile since that happened, it occurring when Wulfenite is slaying too.

Whatever though, seeing so many shinies in Wulfenite's corner almost makes up for it...almost.

I'm on my 8th hunt for the SWSH and it's making me want to tear my hair out. Before this one, the longest hunt was 237 eggs... this one is already up to 509. Ugh.

Woo, new group! Last one was getting pretty inactive.


I haven't hatched any shinies yet for the SWSH. But I have hatched 382 Carbink eggs so far, which is actually pretty good for me. I just hope that the amount of eggs for this hunt don't skyrocket before I get my shiny.

At least I've been clicking a lot more than I have been.


But we WILL win this time, yup yup. We must hatch as many shinies as we can.

Wooo let's go, can't wait to get 60 prize points this month

Stuck right now hunting for the pokehunt, but if I get 1st place I'll get the achievement AND I'll get a shard, so I'll hope to get 150+ ivs. I still managed to get 6 shiny 'mons, and I'll be sure to get more after the hunt is over.

I got a 148 IV's Espeon so the pokéhunt is done for me this week
And that's good, 'cause I got a shiny Scatterbug a few hours after that !
So I'm now at 7 shinies. Can't wait to finally win, they shouldn't have trash talked us so much
Next saturday I'm at a wedding and I won't come back before sunday, so I'll miss a bonus day, but I'll sure continue to contribute to the swsh the other days

Group-wise, I'm happy new members keep coming in, a little every day. I really want this group not to die like the old one.
We'll probably do little events when there is not a swsh active (like a group shiny hunt for an orange shiny of your choice ? like everyone can choose what he wants to hunt in a list of eligible pokémons and go... or other events).
If you have any ideas to keep the group active and fun, don't hesitate to post them

Shiny #10 is a pain to get (more than 600 hatchfails), but I'll get it.

We should start doing it early august, because there will be no swsh and no scavenger hunt yet.
edit : I added a poll to see which options members prefer doing. I didn't vote yet, because I want to know more about what a bingo game would be like.


Speaking of the swsh, I added a section related to it in the first post. I'd do a banner to separate it from the rest (like the "trinkets" one), but the only art I can do is plushies. So if anyone wants to do one, it would be appreciated (but it's in no way mandatory).
I'll write there if we won or lost, and the number of shinies that each group member has hatched, starting from this swsh... So we better win a vast majority of them, I don't wanna write "WON / LOST / LOST / LOST / LOST / LOST / LOST"
(we'll win this one for sure I think but I'll wait for the end of the month before writing it officially).

For the bingo game I was thinking that we pick a point total, say 15 points to win

At random times and a random number per day (to give people a fair chance) I would post a few pokemon that need to have certain requirements

Like: a level 10 vulpix with Total IV 70-80
A Ninetales that has a bashful nature
A 6th Gen Black Pokemon

The first person to post a link to their pokemon and puts the word "bingo" in their post will claim that point. So only one person can post with a ninetales. They must also get it as an egg and hatch it themselves.


So for example:
A 6th Gen Black Pokemon - Bingo! (put link here)

I would also put a "bonus" point one that would have hard requirements for people to strive for.

Each set of points would "expire" when the next set is posted. So if no one claims one, they can't claim it when the new ones are posted. This would exclude the Bonus points, those would be available for the whole duration of that game. The first person to get 15 points would be the winner.

I don't know if we want to do prizes or maybe make a hall of fame or have a mix of both.

What do you all think?

For prizes I can send Sky Gifts (requirement : the winner must add me to their pal pad). I have duplicates trinkets to spare.

I like the Challenge Game more (personal preference) so I'll vote for it, but we'll do whichever get the most votes. The Bingo sounds fun too, so...
I sent pm's to whoever hadn't responded to the idea of an event so everyone should be informed, I hope we'll have fun

I think we should start early August, like I said, maybe around the 5th ? But Keyda should pick the start date, 'cause it's in her hands Just needs a few days for everyone who wants to participate to make themselves known and to pick which we'll do, I think.

Okay, so here are the official rules, Maybe these could be posted in the first few posts for future reference. The game will begin on Tuesday, I'm going to assume that whoever has posted already saying I'm in will be playing. Anyone who posts after this post will be added before the first set is posted.

1. Players Sign up by posting in the thread. A list of current players will be listed in the appropriate place.
2. The Game Host will post points with a description of the kind of pokemon each point is worth. For example: P1: A Black Bug Type Pokemon
3. There will be a random number of points posted at random and different times throughout the game.
4. The Game Host will announce when points have expired. Any unclaimed points that are stated to be expired cannot be claimed after that post.
5. There will also be bonus points posted that will have more challenging requirements. The bonus points will never expire.
6. You must hatch the pokemon from an egg and the egg must be obtained after the point is posted. If the task does not require a pokemon, then this rule does not apply.
7. Post the link to the pokemon along with the word “Bingo” for EACH point you are claiming. Keep all pokemon for the duration of the game. For example: P1: link here Bingo! Or A Black Bug Type: Link here Bingo!
8. Pokemon do not have to be in your party, they can be anywhere as long as it is in your possession.
9. Some descriptions are up for interpretation by the player, but the Game Host has the final say in whether the point is accepted or not.
10. Each point can only be claimed by one person.
11. The game is played until one player reaches 15 points.

Oh, I'm dropping all the balls today. I saw an icy stone in the prize shop and thought thats what was needed for an icy horsea...

And I completely misread the "each point can only be claimed by one person rule" my bad, but this just seems like a race instead of bingo, maybe let each point be claimed once by everyone but everyone may only claim one point per set, not including bonuses, since in bingo multiple people can have the same thing. I'm just saying anyone who hasn't gotten a point from these 2 sets, unless they sweep the next few sets, pretty much already lost :P

I'm not going to make all of the regular points easy to get. Some you will have to work for.

You can hatch the egg charquaza, I've counted it.

Next up:

P7: A Fire type with black markings
P8: A pokemon who would have a x4 advantage against a Gyarados
P9: A Water type with 25 IVs in any stat

I can see it being more of a race, maybe we could change the name a little. I might have a few tweaks to make as well. I figured I'd try something just to get people involved and go from there. Thank you for the suggestion Kaiser.

edit : Keyda, maybe you could tweak the rules so that a few people can claim the same points before it expires ? Like, half of the people that said they'll play, rounded down (so if we are 6, 3 can claim the same, if we are 5, 2 can claim it). That way we still have to hurry (to get it before it expires, and before others), but everyone has more chances.

Okay so how about if we changed the each point can only be claimed by one person to each regular points can be claimed by half the number of participants, unless otherwise specified. Bonus points can only be claimed by one person?

So right now there are three of you so technically only 1 person can claim each point since we are rounding down, so I will make some of them 2 people.

Next set: These expire at 2 pm site time today.

P10: Three fairy types with IVs greater than 100 (100 exact does NOT count) - 2 person point
P11: A Lax pokemon that has max happiness - 1 person point
P12: A pokemon that has a branching evolution and has maximum happiness - 2 person point (Each person must use a different pokemon)

B3: a 25 win streak in the battle tower (link to your gpx profile)

right, there's not limit on a task like that. There's no way to tell. so if you already have the streak, you're all set. I think I put that in the rules.

It says it never expires for bonus tasks, but I had the streak before the task was announced, not after So I didn't know.

I changed the rule "each point can only be claimed by one person" to "10. Each point can only be claimed by a specified number of people, set by the Game Host for each point."
The formulation sucks but I can't do better, so if anyone has a better sentence for that rule...

I mainly like role-playing games (SKYRIM).
I have some games I have to finish (my specialty is starting and never finishing games) : Xenoblade. Pikmin 3. Apollo Justice : Ace Attorney. Starfox Adventures. The Witcher (1). Borderlands 2. Dragon Age : Origins.
I try to play a little of one of these games every day.... But I've just started playing World of Warcraft again with some friends

For this case it has to be at level 50. If it said or higher the. It doesn't.

As for what type of games I like to play. I like dog and strategy games mostly. Right now I'm going through my fire emblem games trying to complete all of them before he new one. I love the harvest moon games as well. I also play a series based on namcy drew that are wonderful to play. I play mario party a lot by myself because I dont have many friends that like to play, or even hang out with me.

I have soooo many I need to finish. (Cough final fantasy) but there's just not enough hours in the day.

I like to play adventure, RPGs, platformer, and abstract/artsy games most. I usually play Pokemon, Rune Factory, and Zelda. I loved Ib, OFF, and Thomas Was Alone as well.
Lately I've just been playing Smash Bros 4 (completing challenges) and Pokemon Shuffle though. Shuffle is really frustrating to be honest, but I can't seem to stop playing it...

Forgot to say I like strategy games, too. Like Civilization, and Crusader Kings II, and city-building games (like Pharaoh... but no one knows that one probably, it's oooooold, I played it so much though).

I played Minecraft earlier and just under my railway that went over the ocean (in a straight line from my spawn), there was an ocean monument. I think that's supposed to be very rare, so the chances of finding this like that... Probably a little more than 0% ?

To add to the games talk, I'm a big fan of character action games like God of War and the like, but I don't think anyone does it like Platinum. I could play Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising forever. I like to include stuff like kingdom hearts in here too because it feels more character action than an RPG to me.

I'll certainly attempt to ace this scavenger hunt but I'll more than likely forget a couple of days.

Me me me me!!! I love pharoah, I still play it and have the expansion for it. My mom laughs at me when I tell her I'm going to my kingdom. I also play civilization I have 3 4 and 5 plus all their expansion packs. I have the second one but only one "expansion pack". I. Don't think it is actually an expansion. The third is my favorite.

I also play the tycoon games. My favorite is restaurant empire. I also like roller coaster tycoon and moon tycoon.

Sorry for no bingo points today. I'm still trying to recover from yesterday and the day before.

I also intend to do all the scavenger tasks. I've only had two months where I missed one task. I wish they would do something else for a while. I am a little tired of them.

I only have Civilization 4 and 5, don't know the 3 And the Civilization Beyond Earth thingie, it is kinda fun.

Three is much more simple than 4 or 5 but it's a nice kind of simple. When I play I like to dominate culturally and not through military and I feel like I do better in 3 than the others. I want beyond earth but I want to wait until all the expansion packs come out before I buy it. I don't know where the status is on it, I haven't looked it up since it first came out.

I still have A LOT of my older games and still play them when i feel nostalgic, which is quite often. I had a co worker over and we were playing the NES which he hadn't played since he was a kid. It was nice to share that feeling with someone.

P19: A Water/Fighting type at level 60
P20: 3 pokemon you would attribute to the Disney Princess Ariel
P21: An Ice type with a Docile Nature
P22: A Bug type whose evolution is red

And yes, I like the idea of prizes for sitewide shiny hunts, or maybe for those of us who complete the entire scavenger hunt.

When I play civilizations I like hoarding all the resources. It usually upsets the other players when I don't share though, lol. I wish I could get III back from my brother, he borrowed it and won't give it back.

We could all take turns pooling our trinkets together for sky gifts. or only give the top person the sky gift and second and third place could get trinkets. I was in a competition once where an artist would draw something for them. If anyone is an artist here.

I'm already way behind on the game, so I'll probably pass on this one.

And on the topic of games that we play (I know, late to the conversation...), the main series I play are Mario, Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, and Sonic the Hedgehog. And with a few Pac-Man games here and there.
I want to start playing some other games, like Mega Man or something. But it seems like when I play a game from another series, I don't get very interested in it. That may be from me not playing some of the earlier games in those series, like when I played my first Metroid game, Other M, I didn't really understand everything that was going on...


Also, I'm kind of an artist...
I can make sprites and and stuff. My signature and avatar are full of stuff I've made.

It's nice of you to volunteer your spriting services :p I don't want to submerge you with work though.
I have to ask before we decide anything though, if we hand out one of your art for a prize, would you be able to make it fast ? Like, one week, one week and a half after the end of the contests ?
I don't want to keep people waiting for prizes and keep track of it for too long, that's why

I thought of something like this for prizes.
SWSH : prizes for most shinies hatched (3 winners) and most eggs hatched (1 winner)
First place for most shinies hatched, and winner for most eggs hatched can choose between 2 Sky Gifts or stuff made by Bonnie Clyde (if she agrees with it) (that way she has to make two things at most, and people can pick)
Second and third place for most shinies hatched get 1 Sky Gift each.

Scavenger hunts : Anyone who completes it at 100% get 5 trinkets they don't have from me (well, I'll do what I can for the "they don't have" part, obviously)

In-topic games (like the Bingo game here) : winner get 1 Sky Gift or a thing made by Bonnie Clyde (again, if she agrees)
2nd place gets 3 trinkets they don't have from me (and again I'll do my best)


It's just a draft so it can be modified a lot, so I'd want to hear your thoughts : good ? bad ? suggestions ? something you don't understand (it's kinda 3:30 am and english isn't my first language) ?

This sounds good to me. And it shouldn't take too long for me to make the sprites or whatnot. Less than a day if I'm not busy/being lazy (or busy being lazy lol).
Though, I can't say less than a day can be expected most of the time. But a week seems like it'll be the max for the waiting.

And for stuff I can make, I can do sprites, signature bars, avatars, ect. But I have to say, I have a really hard time making humans digitally (on paper is a little difficult for me too, but not as much).

Then like I said, my sig has some examples of my sprites and signature bars.

That structure sounds good. I would also suggest that if you don't have trinkets that the person doesn't have you could give them ones that they collect if they have it listed somewhere.

As for next SWSH i just plan to shove all my shinies in malachite and azurites face... i know im evil.

on another subject, 6 more days till i get to go to the fair~ Though my fair is kinda boring we dont have much of anything. the only reason i really go anymore is for funnel cakes elephant ears and the lemonade.

Though if i have money i do enjoy going on the kiddi rides and have the kids say "spin it faster!" then i make it spin so fast that they almost fly out... ive gotten yelled at a lot for that but its still amusing to me.

Whats your guys favorite fair/amusement park ride? Out of all the ones i have been on i enjoy roller coasters but After tremors im kinda iffy on going any more x) too much Gforce for me. other then that i love the sizzler/scrambler the Round up. Galaxy 3000 , yoyo, anything that makes me feel like im gonna fall off fly out or stick to walls ^-^

I like anything that goes round and round, especially the ride that has those swings. I hate roller coasters though. I don't like the feeling of going up and then straight down.

Ooh, funnel cakes are delicious.

I remember really liking this one ride, but I don't quite remember what it was called. Zero gravity or something like that.
But basically you get it this big circular thing and hook yourself to a wall then the thing turns to where it's close to being straight up-and-down then it spins (where the bottom of it is to the side).
It felt really weird to ride but I loved it.

From what I remember, I think I'd have to say I like the roller coaster best (although nothing too extreme). Personally, I don't think I'd be brave enough to go on a lot of the other rides. They seem really scary!

For the SWSH, I was thinking I can have all three of the afinity Gigamorph on some kind of battle screen thing (where it says such and such vs. such and such, kind of like in boxing or something I think?). Then for games: two Pokemon playing chess. And a picture of trophies and ribbons for prizes.

Today's Scavenger task wasn't a Pokémon for the first time this month. That was nice An easy trinket task was pretty much what I needed today.
For now I have completed all the tasks, I hope I won't miss any (I usually don't but you never know).

I'm sorry I haven't been that active, I feel a little depressed these days. I won't let the group die though, so fear not
I have a Sky Gift ready to send to the future winner when the Bingo ends, if s/he chooses that prize I'm putting a bunch of trinkets in the market today so I did that in passing to check I had enough duplicates to send a Sky Gift to a friend, haha (I had plenty enough).

GG everyone! I thought the game was very well done, had a good range with different things to do and difficulty as well. The only thing I can think of to add were sprite related tasks. I sure hope more people join the games, although I'm not sure how active I'll be now with school starting.

I would like some art by Bonnie Clyde if possible, but a Sky Gift would be fine too if they're busy or don't want to.

I want to post regarding the name of the group, too. Apparently "wulves" sounds stupid to some (I don't care, honestly, but I can understand haha). I can change it to "Wulfenite Warriors" but the main problem is that all our banners and stuff say "Wulfenite Wulves".
I think I'll put a poll up in September to see if people want to change it / don't care / want it to stay like this, but I'll just leave it out there for now.

I would prefer Wulfenite Warriors over Wulfenite Wulves. I don't really dislike "wulves", it just bothers me that we don't really follow the "fighter-typer" theme that the other two affinity groups share (since they are Mages and Knights).

Though I ultimately think it would be better with "Malachite Marauders", "Azurite Assassins", and "Wulfenite Wizards" so there would be alliteration, fighting names, and it would correspond with the gen 6 starters' final-evos (I remember somewhat discussing this very shortly during the July Community Thread).

I used the gen 3 sprite and revamped it a little. How ditto was having his "arm" out in front a little looked like it would be perfect for having it hold an ice cream cone.

I prefer Wulfenite Wulves myself, but I think Warriors would be good as well, considering how it better matches with the two other group's names. It's just that I can't seem to think of what some of the orange-y warrior Pokemon we could use would be. We could just keep the Pokemon we have now and change the name (which I would prefer) like a warrior cats/wulves thing, or maybe just add a warrior-like Pokemon to lead the pack (which would be cool as well). Idk, just some ideas.

And thanks for the sprite Bonnie! It looks wonderful and I will be adding it to my signature as soon as possible (with credit of course).

And if we do change our name to Wulenite Warriors, I figured Bidofo would fit as a mascot (especially since it's already the Wulfenite novelty ). With it's little sword and shield it's like a Bidoof Warrior.
I think Terrakion would be a good one, too. Maybe even Landorus.


Oh, and for the SWSH picture (the vs. battle thing), instead of the Gigamorph, I think that I'll put the admin-novelties on the picture. Do you think that'll be better?

I was thinking of doing the admin novels since Bidofo is for Wulfenite, Zergoose is for Azurite, and Dracowymsy is for Malachite (cause like Hiraelle said, it corresponds with the admins' affinity). And it would be easier to put them in a battling stance than the Gigamorph (well, since they're just big chunks of rock).

But I can stick with the Gigamorph since you guys prefer that.

I prefer Wulves although I'd prefer if it were Wolves. If we did switch to Warriors, I like Terrakion as a mascot. They wouldn't have to, but the other two could easily adopt Cobalion/Keldeo (Azurite) and Virizion (Malachite). I don't think anyone is really intimidated by a banner, but Bidofo just looks goofy.

About the flower thing, I really have no idea what it could mean, but I personally doubt it has something to do with revisiting Kalos (although I've never been good with these things so idk). I'd go with it possibly referring to a new Pokemon, or the giveaway of Eternal Floette later on (maybe the Floette unlocks some storyline like the Celebi in HG/SS).

Given that next year is pokemon's 20th anniversary, I really think they should do something with Kanto to celebrate.

I still secretly hope they do a game where you can travel from region to region within one game. It doesn't have to be a remake or follow the storyline of the individual games, but something where we can move onto a different region after we finish the first one.

Mmh, I don't know about Kanto. We already visited it four times in the main games : RBY, GSC, and the remakes of those.

A game where you can visit several regions would be AWESOME but unfortunately I think it will never be done :/

I thought about something that would be awesome (for me) and that will also never be done.
A game like the main games, but in the past (in a medieval setting or something). Like you'd have the apricorn balls instead of the regular balls. And maybe the legendaries would be more present (like some shrines where a certain legendary regularly appears for example), etc.
And I guess another system than the regular gyms / elite 4 / "evil" team.
I thought about it when I was thinking about the battle castle (or whatever its official name is in English) of Kalos, and how in Pokémon Ranger Guardian Signs I was excited you get to go to the past (like "YAY maybe it's me in the old legends") but it was just the multiplayer mode.
I'd play that so hard.

Best of luck in your job hunting. I know what it's like to have little to no experience and people turn you away. Keep at it you'll find something. If I could offer any advice make yourself like a mold. Let them know that you are teachable and willing to learn everything and anything they need you to. Feel free to give the game a try. You have almost a whole week per challenge. The worst that could happen is you have to drop out.

Challenge 1: September 6th – September 12th

Part 1:
Design a banner to represent you. The image should be no larger than 200x100 pixels

The banner should contain a symbol that represents you (similar to a coat of arms)

The image doesn’t have to be hand drawn, you can put images together in a computer program too.

They have to stay for the duration of the competition, so don’t delete them after you upload them.

Part 2:

You are going to develop your trainer character. You can base it off of your real life or your fantasy one (cause we all know that one is usually much better, lol). You can view the following links below if you need some help/inspiration. It doesn’t have to be one type of trainer either, it can be a combination too. You should also decide what type of pokemon you wish to train and put together a team of nine. You will post a write up of your character (Clothing, hair color, eye color, pokemon, job, home town, town where you currently live, etc. Include as much as you can think of.) See my example below.

My name is Keyda. I was born and raised in a town called Whitestone in the Johto region. My favorite thing to wear is brown pants with lots of pockets, a red T-shirt, knee high boots and a cardigan for when the weather is cooler. I have long brown hair that I always keep in a pony tail and green eyes. I love pie and anything spicy. I got my love for my pokemon when I was eight years old. I still remember that day like it was yesterday, even though it happened 16 years ago. My family took a vacation to the Kanto region, specifically to Stone Town. I was playing outside the hotel one morning when I saw a strange new pokemon I had never seen before. It was small and brown with white fluff around its neck and big ears. Our eyes met and we played together all day. Some of the village kids saw me playing with the pokemon and told me that it was called an eevee and it could evolve into many different pokemon depending on what stone you gave it. At the end of my vacation I tried to say goodbye to my friend but it was impossible. My parents surprised me and took eevee home with us. As we left Kanto I decided then and there that I would be an eevee trainer and would have all the eevee forms as my friends and partners.

When I was old enough to start my own journey, I decided to take eevee with me as my first pokemon. After all, we grew up together and knew each other inside and out. I set out and explored all of Johto. Before long I had a wonderful team of eevee vaporeon jolteon flareon espeon and umbreon. I battled the gym leaders of Johto and won all eight badges but after obtaining my eighth badge I decided that being a trainer wasn’t for me. The thing we loved to do most is to explore ruins and investigate mysteries. That’s when I decided to go to school and study science and archaeology. My dream is to discover the ancient civilizations and the pokemon that have been lost to the modern world. So I’ve set out to see as many ruins as I can. My journey has taken me to many cities and many different regions, where I’ve met some interesting people and many different pokemon. On my travels I discovered that eevee has even more forms that it can evolve into, making me love them that much more. I’m proud to say that I have a complete set and with my partners at my side I promise there will be no rock unturned and no mystery unsolved!

When I first saw that the choices were already determined I was like "wait, I never saw that the voting stage was up".
I took me a while to realize that they were chosen automatically (being sick and having a headache really slows my thought process ). Halloween theme is pretty cool.
I went for Duskull cause I really like Dusknoir (it's shiny isn't the best though ). I'm gonna do Misdreavus next since I already got a shiny Banette from a GWSH in the Shiny Lovers group.
If I get those, I'll probably do Duskull, Shuppet, Duskull, Misdreavus, then Shuppet again.

Not sure what I'll go for if I get all of those, though...


And that challenge for this week reminded me that I haven't finished designing my Pokemon trainer and redoing her team. This will be about the fifth or so time that I'm redrawing her. Hopefully I'll like how it turns out this time.

Yay for a new server! Also cant wait for the SWSH tomorrow. Hunting duskulls all around <3 possibly shuppets but mostly duskull.

Ive also gotten back into Pokemon MYSTERY DUNGEON!! I beat red rescue team which i got when i was 7 two days ago and now im playing Explorers of sky and just got done with the guild expedition I forgot how freaking amazing these games were and i want to know what compelled me to quit playing them in the first place! *dances around wait for DS to charge enough to start playing again*


I did have explorers of darkness but it kept glitching then eventually deleted all my save data so... i gave it one more chance it did it again and i threw it out :'( it was a gift from my uncle too.... but glitchy games are no fun when you cant even get half way through them.

PMD is amazing, with the Explorers ones being my favorite. I'm actually going through Sky myself, but I haven't played it recently (though I really should play it again soon ).
That sucks about your Darkness game, though. That version was actually what I played first and is what got me into Pokemon (cause I didn't get the game cause I already like Pokemon and wanted to get a game in the series, I got it because I was 8 and though the title sounded "cool" ). Since I beat that one a long time ago, I really felt the nostalgia when I started playing Sky.

I also have Time, but I never played it much, so I erased my file and I'm trying to get my brother to play the game (which I got him to start a file, but I don't think he's played it since he got through the first dungeon). _{I need more Pokemon lovers around me in real life.}

My name is Hiraelle. I was born and raised in a little town in Hoenn. Well, it's generous to call it a town. It was more a handful of houses scrambled together in the middle of the sea, with a not-island sometimes right there next to it, and sometimes not.
I had loved it. When I was a child, I always ran right out of the house, first thing in the morning, still in my nightgown and my feet fast on the wooden logs the "roads" of the town, on the ocean, were made of, and I jumped in the sea. I did that all year, as it was always hot and sunny, or hot and rainy, or hot and cloudy. But never cold.
My parents used to scold me and tell me to behave like a lady, but they learned to give up. I would never, in all my life, be a lady.
I had loved little Pacifidlog Town. But as I grew up, I realized I wanted more.
I wanted to feel the cold.
I wanted to climb mountains.
I wanted to run on solid ground.
I wanted to fly high up in the sky and reach the sun.

An old man in my little town told me to wait for a day the not-island would appear next to our town and find my first Pokémon there.
I did not want to wait, but I needed a Pokémon to be able to out in the world. The wilderness is dangerous, they always said.
So I waited, and one day the not-island was there, and the old man took me to it in a little boat.
That's were I got Wynaut, born on the not-island to travel the whole world with me.

I begged a passing traveler for a ride on his Lapras, and I was gone. I never looked back.
I traveled far and wide, met many Pokémon and people. Mainly Pokémon. I never took to one place in particular. Pokémons I could take with me, but people I could not.
I gathered varied types of Pokémon.
Some I found on the grass near the road. Some I found in the deepest of mountains.
I grew up traveling. Cut my hair short because it always got in the way. Always wore plain and a little worn but solid clothes, because no need for fancy when you're waist deep in a muddy river.
I live with what I can gather in the wild, and with money I take from passing trainers I battled.
One day I'll go back to my little town, see my parents, see if the old man still lives, see if I can spot the not-island.
But not today. Today I still want to go around the world and explore all it has to offer.

I've decided to extend the deadline for this week's challenge until tomorrow night. That should give everyone enough time to get their entry posted. The new challenge will also be posted around that time as well, or Monday morning if I fall asleep

I finished watching season 16 of pokemon today, so starting tomorrow I can tackle the 80+ episodes of season 17 and 18 sitting on my dvr. and hunting shinies for the shiny hunt of course.

eeek im late for the start of SWSH... i was watching youtube vids with my sis and... kinda forgot untill it was already 10... but we were still in the middle of a video so i didnt get on till now T_T

as for the challenge task... i dont think i can do it. I used to be good at creating characters that ARENT me. I just cant turn myself into anything im too bland boring and ... eh i dunno just un-interesting. I also have no art programs online except for Paint but i havent used in SOOOO long i forgot how even though it supposed to be the easiest thing ever.

Oh well i shall attempt it tomorrow but we're also rebuilding our back porch so i wont have much time to think of something.

TO HUNT DUSKULLS AND THINK OF WHAT I WOULD BE AS A TRAINER!!.... (sigh) *feeling determined but dosent look determined*

Your trainer doesn't have to exactly be you as a trainer. Keyda said "You can base it off your real life or your fantasy one", so it can be a trainer that is only somewhat or even nothing like you.

And I'm excited about the SWSH. I'm also hunting Duskull, but I'm on task 11 of DotW right now, so I can't really hatch a lot of them at the moment.

Certain times I only have access to the mobile version such as early in the morning or Sundays. I probably do 90% of my playing in the mobile anyway. Oh well I'll just have to wait until they get around to fixing it. The desktop version is painfully slow bit it works.

Also, think to donate your SWSH eggs at xx:45 or so, if you breed SWSH pokémons. That way we'll get less premature eggs.

Misdrevus is ok... but its not really a go to pokemon for me.. i did hatch a random shiny of it once and released it for someone else to have not to mention it takes 7.8k maturity to hatch one :/ duskull and shuppet only take 5.6k to hatch.

Challenge 2: September 15th – September 21st

It’s spring time here in the Johto region. You are excited for the warmer weather and the new flowers blooming everywhere you turn. Your pokemon also seem to be in a better mood. As you’re traveling around, you decide to take a vacation and head to a small remote town for some rest and relaxation. You’ve decided to do something to say goodbye to winter and hello to spring. You happen upon a small town that looks perfect for doing exactly that. But when you arrive, things are anything but quiet.

Everywhere you look, there are posters and people with stalls selling merchandise and food. One of the posters flies off a stall and right to you. With ease you catch it and read its contents:

“Ring in spring time with food, music, fun and competition! Join the Spring Festival and Flower Competition today!”

A competition! Being a pokemon trainer that’s always right up your alley! So much for a quiet vacation, but getting in some training and enjoying the festival is always nice too.

You head over to the sign up booth and register your pokemon. The attendant gives you the roster. “Today is the dress up contest in Hall A. Good luck!”

Upon arrival at Hall A, you and all your competitors stand in the trainer’s room listening to instructions. Okay, you tell yourself. I’m going to give it my all. You look down at your pokemon, knowing that they will too. Here we go!

Using 6 of your pokemon, dress them up in a fashion show that tells a story. Your pokemon will perform on stage as you recite their story. The story must contain:

A cape
A flower
the moon

Post you banner, then dress ups, then your write up of your story before reset on Monday 21 September.

the "team" that you created and obtained will be the ones used throughout. You don't need to obtain new pokemon everytime. and yes, pick three so that you have nine. It will be important later.

I shall try to participate this time. But im kinda preoccupied because i found out that our cat wolf has a heart murmur. so we have to take him in for an ultrasound and see what other test they need to do my sister says its a pretty bad one so hopefully he will be alright... i dont really know what a murmur is but i dont want to lose another pet.


Other then that i beat explorers of Sky last night and now im looking at these new dungeons thinking theres no way i can get through 100 floors. I would need my whole team to be like level 60 or 70 to get through there.

So in the mean time im doing small jobs and stocking up on items that i need.

A murmur is when the heart makes extra sounds in the heart beat cycle. It's not always a bad thing. I have a friend who has a heart murmur and he's fine.

I feel we haven't hatched enough for this swsh. We're winning for now, but the Azurites are ahead of us in eggs hatched, so if our luck get worse and theirs get better...

Despite my extremely busy schedule, having my phone close to me helps a lot.
Over a thousand eggs hatched, currently #1 overall.

The moon is high in the sky and lights up the scene. A Floette comes, obviously distressed and crying. She has several little flowers around her and clutch them all in turn, all the while looking around her.
A Tyranitar and a Wobbuffet, alerted by the cries, come to her aid, alarmed. They're dressed like a mix between special forces and superheroes, with capes, black glasses, and weapons. All in all, they look weird, but they console the Floette and want to help.
There was a theft. The thieves took nice and precious and above all expensive flowers from the Floette. They were to be presented in the Spring Festival, but now the Floette fears it was all for naught
The Tyranitar and Wobbuffet go after the thieves and they catch them soon.
They wear masks but it's easy to see it's a Vaporeon, a Flareon and a Jolteon.
Epic battle ensues, Tyranitar and Wobbuffet feeling very smart in their heroes outfits and the thieves attacking with water, fire and thunder.
Kinda suprisingly and awesomely, justice prevails and the flowers are brought back to the Floette, who is overjoyed. The Spring Festival can now continue, as the Tyranitar and Wobbuffet strike victory poses and are hailed as heroes of the day.

no every time 3 days is up its gone but within that day people get it back up to 100%. so either malachite and azurite are sour losers and think honey+ will help them win this month OR someone is being obsessive compulsive with it.

probably the 2nd one. i dont mind honey+ since it means i dont need to search for the eggs. but i would actually love to have pass+ soon... if we had it theres no doubt id put in a ton of effort to click people for once in the many months....

I watched "The Black Cauldron" yesterday, because I hadn't seen it before.
I shouldn't have. Worst. Disney. Ever.
All the characters are really dumbs, there are characters with no purpose whatsoever ("oh we need a princess let's put one here but we don't even care if there's a kingdom she can be the princess of or not or whatever"), and the overall "plot" is... Not great. Not great at all. Very cliché'd, not dynamic, etc. I have read the "bad guy" is "impressive" but seriously ? He's so obviously evil it's almost comical. I guess his name must be xXDarkShadow666Xx.

Thanks Hiraelle I might make another along that theme at some point, but probably not for a while. It took me a good hour or two to figure out how to piece together Houndoom's run cycle with an attack in the middle of it. A professional animator I am not.

On that note though, if I were to make another, what other Pokemon would work well for userbars like that? I used the Guardian Signs sprites for Houndoom, so with that I've got access to Pokemon through Sinnoh.

Mm, it's been a while since I've seen Black Cauldron but I can see where you're coming from. Gurgi in particular seemed kind of unnecessary, but it could be that he had a better role in the book. I have a feeling it was a case of book-to-movie adaptation that didn't turn out so well.

They maybe tried to make it too kid-friendly (and failed, given the somber tone of it) by dumbing down the characters, but seriously....


I don't know which Pokémon you could use... Our "mascot" is Terrakion now, but well, I don't know if it would work and it's 5th gen :p

So i got this Text from a random number and it was an invitation to a festival thats like a 3-5 hour drive away if not longer and they wanted me to show up between 6-7. I asked who they think I am. because i know lots of people think im some erica person and i have no idea who they are but they never replied... then i asked who they were and still no reply. so i dunno if i should show up to find out who they are or if i should just delete the messages and not go.... if i do go ill probably take my friend with me because she knows some martial arts and im pretty skilled in fighting... in my style ^^' but i dunno... im a sucker for Fall festivals theres always so much good and amazing stuff.

Fall is also my favorite season next to winter.


What are your guys thoughts?


Also YAY Wulfs are still in the lead even though i have hatched a single shiny im glad i can at least cheer on my teamates

You would probably not find out who they are even if you go... I mean, a festival, there's lots of people, right ? So you wouldn't know who messaged you.
And if there's not lots of people, I personnally wouldn't go, because going to an event where you don't know anyone and everyone knows each other, I don't like that

well i imagine they would be waiting near the gate. Yeah thats true but then youll never meet people that could change your life if you dont risk it and go to socialize... though i do have panic attaks when near alot of noise and people.

On second though i think ill just stay home make some cookies and pie and play some Hey you pikachu! i love that game so much and i started playing it again yesterday after i finally got the N64 to work~ N64 is basically a waste of money unless you keep it clean and run a game on it every few days.
i have two of them and neither of them will work unless i slam the game into them to where i nearly break them.


At least youve hatched alot for the SWSH already as long as you have fun thats all that matters.

Yeah, the Black Cauldron is part of a book series, though I forget which author wrote them. Last time I read them was in like 6th grade, so... :P

Eeh yeah Terrakion isn't going to exactly work for a userbar like the Houndoom one since Unova and Kalos Pokemon weren't in Guardian Signs. I could do a walk cycle with a HG/SS style overworld on it, but it just wouldn't have the pizzazz that Houndoom had. Maybe I could just do other orange or fiery Pokemon if I got the urge to make anther userbar?

Man tho, Hira, how do you get so many shinies??? 8| I've hatched probably around 500-ish Duskulls by now and only have the one shiny to show for it.

Whoo, okay! Survived my physics exam with a minimum of panic (at least I FEEL like I did okay, but I guess I'll see when the results come back...) and made it through my shift at work. @Nostalgic: lmao I know the feeling. I was into it enough at one point that I actually used an add-on to help keep track of things, see which buildings and such were most cost-effective. good ol' cookie clicker, what a timesink ye be.

@Bonnie Clyde- It looks amazing! way better then any of the humans iv'e drawn. I cannot do hands or feet, even if the feet have shoes i cannot do feet. they just turn into circles or blobs.

I love drawing random things, but sometimes i find my self drawing stuff that ive seen in a dream or that ive seen in real life that shouldnt be real... like spirits... demons stuff like that... call me crazy if you want but i know whats in my house they chase me up and down the stairs.....

Well you'd have to get the 9 Eeveelutions for it, first, since you weren't there for the first task :p (they're the set pokémons for whoever didn't do the first task)
Take care of their attacks and IVs and stuff, since it will certainly be important later.

Also the point of this game is to put you out if your comfort zone and make you do things that you wouldn't normally do. I've learned different things and found new hobbies from doing games like this. Hmm, so since I wasn't around for the first couple tasks, I have to go with the Eeveelutions? And will I still need a brief write-up of my trainer or make the banner before doing the next task, or...? I think I've figured out something that'll get the Eeveelutions to work with what I have in mind for my trainer, but I wanted to check and see if I had to make those too.

I'm not sure if I'll get to the current task - the dressup one - since I've got a bunch of physics homework to do today, and my work shift both today and tomorrow. Saturday's my long day at work and I don't usually get home until late afternoon. I can work on Eeveelutions during that time, I'm just not sure if I'll quite make this task.

ffhhh okay no dressup for me then i guess :P Do I still need to do a quick trainer write-up? I mean I can tell you this much at this point- Otto, a scientist more than a trainer, but researching non-level evolution more closely and thus starting with Eevees since they can evolve in about a million different ways.

ON ANOTHER NOTE. I finallyyyyy unlocked Good Luck \o/ I started like 250 hunts and cancelled them when the first egg didn't hatch shiny. Forgot ONE time to start a hunt, the egg was shiny Today I took a Dracowymsy in Shelter, started the hunt, hatched it and BAM it hatched white And I already had a shiny Dracowymsy, haha.

Hey, story-type things are my jam. Give my brain a bit to work with and it'll latch on and start churning stuff out, man. Gives me something to do while I'm waiting on exploration cooldowns too, heh.

yoooo congrats tho! a shiny Wymsy's pretty neat, and to net Good Luck with it too is, well, lucky, haha. I'm gonna have to do that too at some point - start and cancel and start and cancel - but I think I'd like to try and get Determined first. I think I came close with a Dratini hunt a while back at around 700 or so, but right now my closest one is just shy of 400... so I've got a ways to go. :T

Pass some of that SWSH luck my way though- I've still only got the one!

If you want to do the first task, go ahead. Since you hadn't joined the group yet when the task was posted, I'll let you chose your own pokemon. Just follow the first task exactly.

And here's the next one:

Challenge 3: September 25th – October 1st

You never in a million years thought it would be difficult to put costumes together, but it was. Somehow you got your team together and the show that they put on was spectacular! You smile wide at your pokemon as they change and rub their make up off, telling them how proud you are that they performed well. Since the next challenge isn’t until tomorrow, you decide to check out the stands and find something for your and your pokemon to eat. You find a restaurant serving a variety of both human and pokemon food and sit down for an all you can eat feat. Full, you wander the park until night fall and finally head back to your hotel and get some sleep.

Then next morning you eagerly wait with the rest of the contestants at the main stage for the next challenge. The announcer emerges onto the stage and the crowd cheers. When they were finally silent, the announcer begins his instructions:

“Today we will be testing your catching abilities.” He points to a massive green house to your left, labeled Hall B. “Inside that building there are many bug pokemon. Your task is to catch as many of these pokemon as you can. But we only want the best of the best. Here we brought in a special pokemon judge. He will be judging your pokemon to make sure that they meet the minimum requirements. Whoever catches the most pokemon will be the winner. Oh, and there are some pokemon that are a different color than their normal counterparts. If you catch any of these, you will receive bonus points. Good luck!” He raises his hand and swings it down to his side. “GO!” in a frenzy you all start running towards the door, into the greenhouse.

Catch as many bug type pokemon as you can that have total IVs between 90 and 100. If the pokemon is a shiny, they will count regardless of their IVs. Post these separately. The bug pokemon must be in their first evolution stage. Post your banner, then your boxes of bug pokemon before reset on October 1st.

I appreciate letting me do the first task, Keyda. I'll probably still do mostly Eeveelutions then for my team though, since I only would have wanted one specific Pokemon on my team anyway. Also uh. I started hatching Eevees for this and uh... one of 'em turned out shiny. Not what I was expecting, but I'm definitely not gonna argue! Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to name him and what to evolve him into...

I'll probably end up grabbing a lot of my bugs from the Safari though, all things told. I wouldn't argue more shinies, but I've already got a bug-type Arceus... Ah well, should still be fun. Best of luck to everyone giving this challenge a whirl!

@Keyda: Heck yeah I did! One of the perks to living in Arizona: it's bloody hot with zero clouds 99% of the time.

The downside was that there was a streetlight right next to the moon so it was hard to see at first :/

I can see it just fine from my house its directly in front of me thought I missed when the earth was covering it up at least i can see it turn back to normal. Last time i saw a lunar eclipse was 9 years ago when i was 8. Still really want to witness a solar eclipse.

I wanted to watch it at first, but it was between 4 am and 5 am roughly, so... a little late.
I thought, I'll watch it if I wake up at around this time (I usually wake up several times during the night), but for once I slept through all the night, so... Well. Too bad for me, I guess.



I stopped hatching for the SWSH. I hatched 15, and I think we probably can't lose now So I'm taking advantage of Honey+ for my other hunts.

I still havent hatched a shiny ;n; I want the extra prize points but i used up all my shiny luck on the last SWSH.
How do you pick your eggs? maybe you just pick the perfect eggs and they end up shiny lol.

Hoooo boy howdy. I'm 99% sure my brain's melting out my ears right about now because I finally finished the physics homework that was assigned today. It took over 3 hours. Hhrgh.

Oh yeah, the beginning of the month events. I keep forgetting about those, haha. Probably because I have most of the legendaries- the only ones I'm missing are Meloetta, Yveltal, and Zygarde. (well, and Hoopa and Volcanion but they haven't been released here so they don't count)

I'm crunching away on my challenge task stuff too. Not much else to say, heh.

Still no luck on a second SWSH shiny though, but at least this time around Wulfenite's doing pretty well so I'm not too upset.

Since Thursday - ie, tomorrow - is my ridiculously busy day of the week, I'm going to post the Task One part of my challenge stuff tonight, then post my boxes of bugs tomorrow night once I get home from school+work. It'll be before reset, I can guarantee that at least. I just don't think I would've had time to compile all of this tomorrow night, aha.

I'd put all of this under a spoiler, but they're still totally borked for me, so... here's my stuff for Otto, my trainer character of choice.

Pokemon type: None/varied. He'd much rather do research and experiments than battle, so his only permanent Pokemon are Togetic and, later, a shiny Sylveon.

From a young age, Otto was never really interested in Pokemon training. While others embarked on their journeys as trainers and would-be champions or apprenticed themselves to breeders, he stayed at home in Opelucid, reading, learning, discovering. In fact, he never had a permanent Pokemon of his own until later on in his life. Over time, he became a moderately well-known researcher, specializing in Pokemon growth and evolution - well-known enough to rub shoulders occasionally with the likes of Professors Elm and Rowan of Johto and Sinnoh, respectively - and eventually settled in Castelia City with his wife. Several years into their marriage though, his wife passed away- a fast-moving disease with no cure; she slipped through his fingers far too quickly.

Otto was devastated.

He withdrew into himself for several months, ignoring his work and concerned correspondence from his colleagues. Eventually, Professor Elm came to visit... and brought a gift.

A Pokemon egg.

Elm recommended that Otto officially take some time off, take care of the egg, hatch it. After all, the Pokemon that would hatch from the egg was known to be good at comforting, and may help him work through his grief. Otto raised an eyebrow at that, but Elm only laughed and said he'd have to hatch it to figure out what Pokemon it was.

Although Otto was not a trainer, he was intrigued by the egg, scientific curiosity driving him to see what hatched from it. That egg hatched into a Togepi, which eventually evolved into a Togetic with his care. True to Elm's advice, he took a break from his research to raise the baby Pokemon and come to terms with his grief.

Now, eight years after his wife's passing and in his early forties, Otto travels around with his Togetic, doing more of his research out in the field than before. His current focus of study is the many different evolutions of Eevee, and has raised one of each to see exactly why they react to certain stones, environments, and how their feelings towards their trainer affected that. His shiny Sylveon was the first that he had found and invited along, though it's more accurate to say that his Togetic found it first, huddled under a bush as an Eevee to hide its silvery coat from predators. It was smaller than most Eevees, and his Togetic simply would not let Otto continue on without bringing it along. It bonded quickly with Otto and later evolved into Sylveon. Aside from his Togetic, it's the only other Pokemon he keeps with him at all times.

Otto is relatively tall, a little heavyset, with brown eyes and hair, and wears glasses to read. Generally speaking, Otto's travel attire is simple and serviceable: in warmer climates, a thin turtleneck and slacks will do, but most of the time he wears a worn trenchcoat over it - more gray than the green it used to be - paired with a brown fedora at times to keep bright sun, rain, or snow out of his eyes. Any personal belongings that he takes with him - a couple of notebooks, a laptop, things to write with - are kept in a sturdy backpack.
