Hey there guys. I was looking through my breeding couples earlier today (I do so out of habit. I like seeing how popular my breeds are, if their adopters give them cute nicknames, etc), and I noticed one hell of an anomaly in my most recent pairing:
http://gpx.plus/user/Spoovo+The+Pirate/offspring For those of you who didn't click, it shows that (as of 5 PM, December the 12th, 2015), in just 493 children, I have bred FIVE shinies! Now I know that the shiny ratio here on the GPX is nowhere near as good as that, so it got me wondering; by chance have I stumbled into some weird glitch/bug/compatibility thing where my two breeders produce shiny offspring far more often than usual? It surprised me when I bred a shiny with less than 100 offspring, but to repeat that feat fivefold? O.o If anyone can help, that'd be great. I'm thinking this is just one hell of a fluke, but it's amazing and discussion worthy nonetheless. Thoughts? -------------------- |

It's a fluke. I've had similar results where ~100 eggs would produce a shiny or a few hundred might produce three. You just got a nice streak of luck there.
