I've had issues getting Wi-fi on both my DSLite and DSi ever since I've owned them. For some reason, it's been working fine with Black and White (I've gotten Victini on both games and tried out the GTS), but when I try to connect to Nintendo WFC on either Diamond, Platinum, or SoulSilver, I just get this message:

"No compatible access point in range. Check your connection settings and try again.
For more help, visit support.nintendo.com. Error code: 51099"
(That was SoulSilver's, idk if all the error messages are exactly the same but they were something like that)

Does anyone have any idea why I'm only getting this problem with Diamond, Platinum, and SoulSilver?

if your wi-fi is incompatible with the original DS it won't work with D/P/Pt/HG/SS except with the mystery gift... idk why though

Did you look up what the error code means on the Nintendo website?

Yes, I read and tried everything, but it still doesn't explain why I'm only getting the message for Diamond, Platinum, and SS.

I had the same problem and what i had to do is to put each game in the DSi, delete the wi fi connection then make it again to make it work on that game.

Do you know if it works with another wi fi?

I've never had Wi-fi on any of my DS games before B/W, so no. Though, I've tried to set it up, maybe that's the issue. I'm away from home right now, so I'll try that out once I get home later today (or maybe tomorrow if I don't have time).

Are you sure the Wi-Fi security is WEP?

I think I know why. I have the same problem. When you were on your DSi, did you have to use the advaced connection to connect to your Wi-Fi? I think that B/W were programed to be able to use the A.C. My guess, at least.

I've never used Wi-Fi on any Gen 4 game, considering that I never got Wi-Fi access until right before Black and White came out in the states, but what I have therorized (I may be wrong though) is that Nintendo shut down the Gen 4 games Wi-Fi network and replaced it with the current 5th Gen one.

Water types are weak against Fire types if they use Thunder as armor. Flareon can use dive and aim for the horn. Then finish it off with False Swipe although it may faint if it uses Endure...but thats just because everyone knows Arbok evolves into Seviper

I don't think so, as just yesterday a friend and I battled, and I used my Diamond while she used her Pearl. Over WiFi, that is vwv

Still, I find it strange that you cannot connect with your Gen IV games :v
The only issue I've had is being unable to connect with a friend of mine in particular over wifi, but I only had this problem with him :v

I think it is to do with the way your Wi-Fi is set up. Black and White must be compatible with your setup, whilst Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HG and SS are not. If it is really bothering you, have a look in your Router's/Modem's setup guide/manual.

That is not true. I used the GTS on my Gen IV games just yesterday.

Since you have never connected on any game other than B/W than that means your wfi is WPA because B/W has an enchantment that allows WEP AND WPA.

WPA doesn't work on any DS game except B/W.

you are right. only B/W supports password protected wi-fi. if you want to use wi-fi then you will have to change your router's settings to not use WEP2 or WPA.

if you need more help i will be happy to assist happy.gif just tried to get my D/P friend codes and remembered i haven't set them up yet
