The Army

So at times I like to dabble in re-reading old topics and the posts I contributed to them and I came across this one regarding using the Coin Case after listening to Feraligatr's cry in the Pokedex:
http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=52838

At the time circumstances would not allow me to attempt it and it was never revealed/figured out.
After re-reading that thread I became interested in this alleged glitch once again and decided to Google it as I still am unable to attempt it. My Crystal the last surviving of my second generation set reached it's last thread of life a couple of years ago though I never actually saw it to the end, once I was told my lagging clock was an early sign I turned it off and never touched it again (figures literally JUST when I'd captured a legit shiny Gastly outside Violet City).

Anyway I came across something interesting in my search but since the original thread is 4 years old I felt it would be inappropriate to necropost.

Apparently the Coin Case/Pokemon cry is involved in a glitch to obtain Celebi somewhat like the Mew glitch of the first generation but with way more specific requirements and steps, discovered and tested by a contributor at Glitch City Labs.

There is also another variation that gets you a glitch Pokemon called FF, instructions also provided by Glitch City Labs.

As for the Feraligatr mystery the best I could find was at Bulbapedia, stating that you'd just get a glitch phrase when you use the Coin Case: "which move?he PP of". This is a common result also able to result from several other pokemon cries.

Thanks! This may help us of the Pokemon gamers when we want to glitch the game to do stuff. I for one may try some of these someday later.
