I could post now, but what I have planned makes more sense to wait until after Tanya dies.
Currently, Astrolus/Daniel and Nequam are debating whether or not to do anything about Myehiari and Tanya being captured. Due to Astrolus slipping up, their exact wording was "I shall not betray you nor your chosen allies". And they still haven't worked out exactly what the "your chosen allies" part meant. So until they do, they're a neutral party, and can't do anything unless one of them can come up with a loophole. They could let the others know, but that's about it, for now. I haven't posted that because the exact debate's not relevant enough for a whole post. @DMVA: It's reasonable to assume that Sun and Dexter are experiencing time differently. A Gate, after all, is essentially a wormhole that Astrolus has "tamed", after all, and wormholes can produce similar effects to what you've described.
@All: As I may have implied above, the "new" type of Gate(that is, to ones that we've been using) can be used, to a very limited extent, for time travel. However, to prevent godmodding, I am going to lay down some rules for how it can be used. 1: Nobody will know all of these rules right off the bat. Nobody(This includes Astrolus and Daniel) will even know that the Gates can be used this way, until somebody notices that the changes can be exploited. Short of somebody who already knows telling you, the only way to find out the rules is through trial and error. 2: The amount of time you can go ahead/back is directly proportional to the amount of energy invested in opening the Gate. That is, the more of your blood you give the Gate, the farther you can go in time. As a rule of thumb, a milliliter will give you about two hours in either direction from your current time, two will give you four hours, and so on. 3: You may not go back in time so that you are in two places at once. Attempting this will not cause a universe-destroying paradox or anything, the Gate simply will not allow you to pass through if another version of you already exits in the target time. 4: This may even be done unintentionally, by making your target something that does not exist in your current time. In the upcoming case where Dexter and Sun will attempt to get to where Daniel/Astrolus and Ari are, for example, the time coordinate will automatically be adjusted to a time where they do exist in this universe. (Note that this does not make an exception to rule #3. If your target also does not exist in the range of coordinates the time could be, then the Gate will simply not open.)
