Does event shiny pichu evolve?, Does anyone know? |

So, the US is soon getting the event shiny pichu via gamestop wifi. He is needed to unlock the gizamimi/spikey eared pichu on HG/SS. I know that Gizamimi doesn't evolve, but does the shiny pichu evolve, and if so, does he have to still be a pichu to unlock the event on HG/SS?
I looked into some sites and found he has an everstone, which makes me think he can evolve, but should be made to keep the everstone until after the event. That is of coarse, only speculation. im pretty sure it can evolve but you won't be able to get the spikey eared pichu if you do (i heard that but im not sure)

Maybe he could but I don't know for sure...
Personally I would want to keep him a pichu if only because I would want to be sure that he retains the pikachu-colored-ness. I don't think they've come out with a Raichu-colored Pikachu yet.

Hello KittyKei! If you are talking about the Pikachu colored Pichu *not the Notched-ear Pichu*, then yes it can evolve. Since it evolves, the question to ask is that does it activate the event? Yes, the Pichu will activate the event even if it evolves.

This is just rumor, but I believe it does evolve and you can still unlock...whatever it is in HGSS

LexDoom is wrong, the shiny Pichu CAN evolve(it just needs max happiness like every other Pichu) and it will still activate the event. This has already been confirmed by those with the Japanese game.

I actually have been looking at the paper that game stop gave me to get this Pichu, however...... Do I need National Pokédex? Or just a normal Pokédex?

Yes it acts like a shiny pichu you could find in the wild it just has moves you cant give a shiny pichu you caught yourself

I wouldn't try to evolve it since it gets you a notch eared pichu in heartgold/soul silver it might b possible to evolve... i wouldn't tho im getin mine taday...

Is there a limit on this? Like, can I bring my DS with my games, get it in Pearl, then swap games, get it in Diamond, swap again and get it in Platinum?

They call it "Pikachu Colored Pichu" and I just got one today.
He comes with an everstone. So my assumption is you can take it off and evolve him. Whether he can still summon Spikey Ear in SS/HG after evolved, I don't know. --------------------  My Shinies!         Click for my deviantART gallery. |

Just got my Pikachu-Colored Pichu today (two in fact).
They're pretty nice, but I'm waiting till HG/SS and the Notch-Eared Pichu before even touching my PCPs. By the way, both of mine have Jolly natures and like Sweet food. I take it you can't SR for these guys? Does anyone know if NEP is the same way? Thanks. --------------------    |
