I was just pondering this thought and I wanted to see if anyone had the answer.
What if you have seen EVERY Pokemon EXCEPT for Arceus, and you use a repel then look through the lab? Would you find only an Arceus egg? Or what would happen?

Repel only repels eggs you have. It doesn't create eggs. If there's no Arceus in the lab (which is extremely likely) then nothing will appear in the lab.
However, if there is a Arceus in the lab then it will appear (but don't hold your breath). --------------------  |

The lab doesn't have every single egg in it every moment of the day. It is very, very rare that the lab has any non-summonable legend in it, and even if it does it will probably be in there for maybe 20 seconds, tops.
The only way to get an Arceus is through a special event run by Admins (contests, birthday exchange) and like I said, extremely rare spawn in the lab. --------------------  Avatar made by TehArtMonkey  Doctor Octopus made this beasty thing. Go check her out!     |

Ohhh.
I think I get it now. So what would happen if you used it and Arceus was the only Pokemon you hadn't obtained? Would the lab be empty? Or would there be other eggs there? |

If you did use it and you had every single pokemon but arceus, then unless arceus was in there, a notification would pop up saying there isn't any available eggs for you to claim, thus wasting your repel.
Edit: From the easter contest we had a while ago, where we had to make egg designs, I know for sure first place got an arceus voucher, and i think second place did too as well. If you had obtained the egg dex entry of any of the pokes in the lab at the current time, you will be given a message saying that there is an error, and that there are no eggs in the lab at the time that you haven't obtained.
