Following the events of Starfall Field, Kaya Rovera and Rose Fiore travel to Fidona for Kaya's gym badge. All is well at first, but following the gym battle, poachers ambush them and steal a few of their pokemon. Kaya and Rose (plus whoever else wants to join) go to get their pokemon back and teach the poachers a lesson.

This will be their first roleplay in Furoh. I'm planning for them to arrive in Fidona instead of Port Barley when Tawny messes up their tickets. This should be an adventure for the both of them.

I'll probably get the RP up tomorrow. Today I've got a decent amount of homework, and I also procrastinated waaay too much on the fanfic contest thing, so I have to work on that today. Sorry for the delay!

Wouldn't it be cooler if it would be a triple threat Pokemon battle? xD Tawny doesn't really like the idea of Pokemon battles and even Xavier can't force her to. Sad. She's got cooler Pokemon.

Oh, whoops. I should've read Tawny's profile more thoroughly before I said that, sorry. :P

Well, I'm not sure about the triple threat thing, since Rose likes fair battles. Then again, if Xavier wanted to, she'd probably be willing. I'd still like Rose to actually be doing something during the battle, though. So it could still be a double battle, or two separate single battles, if Luke gets involved. Or, of course, we could go with the triple threat thing. Whatever's IC!

Also, topic's up! Finally. I got kind of stuck on ideas on how to start it, sorry.

Oh, we're having Xavier and Rose during Kaya's gym battle? I thought we were just going head to head with the poachers, my bad. xD Well, Rose could cheer Kaya on since they're pretty good friends, whereas Xavier and Tawny will just watch the whole thing. Xavier's going to get pretty pissed on Tawny for landing them tickets to Fidona instead of Port Barley, so she takes him to the gym to observe a Pokemon battle. That's the first time he'll bump into Rose and Kaya.

Oh, no prob. I didn't really explain that, anyway. Our idea was to have the poachers follow Kaya and Rose and then ambush them (Xavier too, since he'll be there by then) after the battle, while Kaya's Pokemon are tired out and can't really resist as much. They're all taken by surprise and aren't able to recover in time, and some of their Pokemon get stolen. Your idea sounds good! I'm up for that, then.

Hmm. That sounds awesome. We could have the gym battle (Kaya going for her badge, Rose supporting her friend, Tawny taking Xavier to see the battle to stop him from punching her in the face or something), then Xavier could want to challenge Kaya but her Pokemon are too tired so she says no. Xavier then battles Rose instead? After everyone's Pokemon gets tired, the poachers take them all by surprise? What do you think?

So, the current order of events goes like this: they all arrive, Kaya has her gym battle with Rose and Xavier on the side, Rose and Xavier battle, the poachers ambush all of them, they go to get their Pokemon back, return to Fidona and have a group battle. Sound good?

Also, I was thinking that the poachers could have a hideout in the rainforest and escape to that after the ambush. Our trainers will have to go to the Pokemon Center after that or else they'd get their butts kicked, so how could they find them? Does anyone have a Pokemon that could track the poachers?

Oh, and there's another thing I'd like to know before I write my reply. Are Xavier and Tawny close to Rose and Kaya? Because if they are, Rose would definitely notice all the yelling and probably go over to talk to them.

On my side, I was thinking maybe Joltik could help us. Joltiks are really, really small, and the poachers could be written like they didn't know Hyde the Joltik clung to one of them. The problem with that is we'd need another Electric Pokemon to find them. I was thinking Hyde the Joltik could emit an electrical wave that only another electric Pokemon could see or feel. We do have Kaya's Manera the Blitzle for this, though I'm not sure if Manera gets abducted too.

Another idea would be Rose's Ciar the Zorua. It could just sniff the poachers out, granted we could steal a piece of their clothing or something. Plus, a Zorua changing into something else to confuse the poachers is just cool.

Rose's Wyatt the Rufflet could also tail the poachers through the air. That's usually how Ash and his friends on the anime look for Pikachu: a Flying Pokemon for vantage point.

Tawny's Combee also has Sweet Scent, which could also draw Ciar the Zorua or every other Pokemon that wasn't captured.

Regarding Xavier and Tawny's proximity to Kaya and Rose, your call. But that's probably a good idea. We can introduce both pairs early on. Then Kaya can have the battle.

I was planning on keeping only Attila, since he's super common, especially in comparison to all the others. If y'all want, though, I could somehow keep Manera too. Sneak it into its pokeball after the poachers find its empty or something like that.

Blah, that post took way too long to write. Oh well, at least it's up now. By the way, I assigned the poachers genders, if you don't mind, since I think it's kind of stupid to call them "this person" and whatnot all the time; I edited the first post to reflect that.

Okay, now onto more important stuff!

Lacuna Shade: I like your Joltik idea. I was planning on Ciar getting captured, actually, since he's a rare species and all that. I do like your illusion idea, though! He could do something like that after he gets kidnapped. Also, Wyatt's a bit too young to fly that far, and Rufflets have tiny wings (although they can somehow use Fly in the games...), so I don't think he would work either.

Hydrophobia: I personally don't mind you joining, but I don't want to speak for everyone, so I'll wait for them to weigh in first.

Should we go with Xavier's Joltik then and Kaya's Manera (Blitzle)? The whole electric wave thingy? The problem will be how Kaya manages to keep Manera from getting stolen. Ciar the Zorua can still escape with illusions, I'm thinking, and it could find us, Rose specifically, and point us in the right direction. Of course, by then, we would be close by the poacher's hideout if we gave chase the second the poachers ran.

I still have this funny scene in my head wherein Tawny's Smoochum, being Oblivious and all to the kidnapping, Licks one of the poachers and paralyzes him (yeah, the guy seems to be more careless than the woman, although Smoochum's cuteness, as exploited in the anime, could make the woman lose her focus as well). Smoochum Licks them to say hello, it being friendly but totally Oblivious. It could work. xD

I'm good with Hydrophobia joining. Will he be entering the scene before or after the gym battle?

We could also have Royce's Captain (Blitzle) take Kaya's Manera (Blitzle) in place of the electrical wave tracker. If the poachers didn't see Royce's Pokemon, and if they hadn't seen him before the gym battle, he could work as a surprise hero of sorts. Plus, Royce's older and the strongest protagonist (yeah, Xavier's not going to put himself in harm's way, honestly; he's no merc) in this story.

I guess it really depends on when the battle happens and whether or not I can find a good way to keep Royce occupied until it's over. Then he walks in as the poachers enter the scene and gets dragged into the whole thing when his Cyndaquil gets stolen.

Royce also owns a Blitzle with Double Team, which could be a way to deceive the poachers and escape, thus making him available to track down the Joltik.

The Double Team idea could work. I'm guessing the poachers (especially the woman) wouldn't want to waste a lot of their time in the limelight, trying to catch another Blitzle with Double Team when they already have a weakened Blitzle (Kaya's Manera) from the gym battle.

Royce could watch the battle, too. Maybe he's studying the gym leader for a future challenge? Tawny could then get smitten with Royce. I'd love to RP her awkwardness around crushes. Basically the reason I had her partner up with Xavier. xD

You should know that post-gym battle, Rose and Xavier are going to have a short battle of their own. Short because, you know, Xavier only has two Pokemon. Afterwards, the poachers show up and the rest will be history.

I was thinking about more in the lines of "Oh sweet, we yoinked another Blitzle! *scram*" then have Captain walk out of a bush while giving them the "...Seriously?" look. Wouldn't be very noticeable, though, as he only has one eye anyways...

Okay, now I have to make him watch the battle. Dunno how, since he likes to take his job very, very seriously and he'd need a pretty good reason to stay and watch. Seeing how he already beat the eight Kanto gyms (a few years ago, though) he'll probably want to see how an average trainer handles with the pressure or something. Can't wait to see the scene with Tawny, which will probably leave Royce wondering what the hell was he thinking when he walked into that gym. xD

Oh, and there's his wound too, which could be the reason why he can't stop the poachers at first and they manage to escape.

I just finished reading about Royce! This is going to be cool with him and Xavier and Tawny. Haha! Xavier's going to have a breakdown when he realizes Tawny's crushing on Royce, considering Xavier's still mad at Tawny (so she has no right to forget about his anger at her). xD Yeah, good luck, Royce. Kids with emotional scars are harder to handle than guys with guns. xD

Or, you know, he might think Xavier's hair is Mew in disguise. Just kidding. xD

Taking in account his line of work and the fact that he spent weeks in a jungle with a monkey, his socializing skills are a bit... lacking. :P

Sheila (Royce's partner in Furoh) could also call him through his Poketch during the scene, probably leaving Tawny thinking that she's his girlfriend and leaving Royce facepalming even harder. This will be a really funny scene, I can tell! xD

As for how to pursue the poachers, I just remembered (Just should be read: a few hours ago when I began to type this) that Luke has Harmony, who could help track from the air. Kreek & Strall could also be useful, but from the position of being stolen.

My idea is Strall, who sometimes walks around outside its pokeball and has no idea it's been poached, comes out to find the poachers instead of Luke and Company. It puts two and two together and starts hacking away at the poacher's legs (along with any other pokeamon that wants to join the slugfest). While Strall does that, Kreek (and maybe Ciar, if Asterna's interested) sneak off and find the pursuing trainers, leading them to the chaos ahead.

So, um, what do y'all think of that?

Sounds like a plan! So, Xavier's Joltik emits an electrical wave that Royce's Blitzle will track after the latter uses Double Team to prevent capture from the poachers. Royce and his Blitzle will just realize the presence of the strange electrical wave from Xavier's Joltik and use it to start pursuing the poachers. Luke also calls out Harmony to provide aerial scouting.

Meanwhile, Luke's Strall leads a hostile Pokemon attack on the poachers (with Tawny's Smoochum giving one of them a paralyzing Lick), whereas Kaya's Kreek and Rose's Ciar sneak off to meet the pursuing trainers, who are just a few steps behind all the chaos thanks to Royce's survivalist instinct and whatnot. At this point (before Kreek and Ciar sneaks out), Joltik's electrical wave emission stops when one of the poachers find it and try to put it back inside a Pokeball, rending the trainers temporarily stuck.

Sounds awesome? xD

Hey, guys! The RP hasn't been replied to in a while, so I was wondering if I should post now. @Dan Magnus: Um, I'm not sure. That probably depends on whether or not Lacuna Shade responds, because I would say that we're full for now; I'm not looking for new members, at least. FirePower, Hydrophobia, and Lacuna Shade (if you're still around), how do you guys feel about it?

Dan Magnus, if the other current members respond favorably and you still want to join, please keep in mind that we move pretty slowly. It's been a little over a month since the last post in the actual RP (though that's due to Lacuna Shade's inactivity), so yeah. It might be better to find another RP if you don't want to wait for a long time between posts.

Lacuna Shade's got one day left to respond until we move on, but I doubt that he will, so I suppose we should think of a plausible way to have Tawny and Xavier exit the RP for now (but not a way that closes them off from reappearing for the rest of the RP, because Lacuna Shade still might come back). At least, I think that's what you're supposed to do when one member drops out -- do you guys know for sure? I'd rather not step on anyone's toes, so I'll PM the mods if nobody knows.

Dan, that sounds good enough to me. Visiting trainers to cities usually stop by the Pokecenter first, so we just need to make Rufus have a reason to take notice of the other three. We'll put you into the posting order after Hydrophobia, I guess, so it'll go: me -> FirePower -> Hydrophobia -> Dan, if nobody has any objections. FirePower was the last to respond, so I think Hydrophobia's up now.

xD Yeah, okay. So how would we do this, then... perhaps Xavier and Tawny suddenly realized they had urgent business to attend to, or something. No, that's terrible, or at least not elaborated enough. Um...

Well, they'd need some reason to leave... they were there in the first place 'cause Tawny got them the wrong tickets. Well, if someone randomly showed up with tickets to where they were before, they might leave, but then they'd be locked out for the rest of the RP. Hmm. Any ideas, guys?

Hm, there could be a big commotion near the Center and they end up getting separated from the group? Like, an ongoing battle that causes a huge crowd to form or something of sorts.

Oh and we're gonna need to utilize another method to track the poachers now that the Joltik is gone. Royce will probably capture a Zubat in this RP so we could use that too. One of the poachers could end up getting a small cut or something and the Zubat would follow the scent of the blood? It's no Sharpedo but it could follow it vaguely.

The commotion sounds good to me. I think that a huge battle between a few trainers, as you suggested, would work pretty well.

As for the tracking, the Zubat idea sounds good, but Royce would have to catch it before the poachers went and stole the Pokemon, I think. One of the kidnapped Pokemon could bite a poacher while they were struggling, causing blood to be drawn. If anyone else has a Pokemon that can track scents (and isn't going to get kidnapped), that would work too.

Being a bat I can see Zubats being found in jungles. And Royce does have a knife so he could, like, hurl it, it makes a small cut on one of the poachers and he goes in search of a Zubat in the jungle (or forest, wherever the poachers decide to hide in). That way we'd have something for the Zubat to go on, like giving a piece of clothing to a dog so that it could follow the smell and follow it.

Hey, I'm really sorry for taking as long as I did. I really have no excuse to take nearly this long. Procrastinating as long as I did is honestly really selfish of me. If you guys still want me in the RP, I promise I'll try to not do this again. If y'all want to kick me out on the other hand, I understand, and I can't say that I didn't deserve it.

I've got a post ready if you guys are still willing to have me. But if you aren't, I completley understand and totally deserve it.

EDIT: Under the assumption that no news is good news, I went ahead and posted. Once again, I'm really sorry that I took so long, and if you're mad, I totally understand and totally deserve it.

I have no idea if the others are still around but I'd be willing to carry on with the RP if you so wish.

edit; I should probably mention that I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow and it'll last for at least a week. There may be a day where I have access to the laptop but I can't really guarantee a post in this period.
