When I was 5 or 6 years old, I watched the first Pokemon movie.. It was with Mewtwo I think...
After watching that I watched the series and I liked it..
Until today! and I'm 14!

Anyway, I don't really remember. I mean I was 4 years old in -99 when the first episode came out in Finland. I just remember when mom said there's some new show coming called "Pokemon" and I was really interested and watched the first episode. It was so touching, the whole Pikachu saves Ash thing... That's when I knew I would love it forever. Haha, I remember when I told mom I'd never get bored of Pokemon and she laughed at me. Who laughs now, mom?!

I was born early enough that G/S/C was new, but I didn't get into it until...4 or 5 years ago. I first got Emerald, then Diamond, then all of them.
I did start with the cards, and I still have the cards. My friends and I used to go nuts over the TCG. (we still do, but over the games!)

when i first saw pokemon i was quit a bit younger the now and alot more girlish.i thought it was a dumb boy show.
now that that half my friends are boys and all of them like pokemon,i have learnt alot about it over the years
and found it its lay out quite intresting.but latley shoujo anime and manga have been takeing me away...but no matter what i will ALWAYS love pokemon.

I remember it was Advanced Generation. THere was a lotad and mudkip. I was with my bff who loves pokemon. I just thought they helped people do things, I guess.

I saw the very first episode back on Kids WB and I remember being really entertained by the fight between Gengar and Onix.

I started off with the cards when I was about six or seven, and all I thought was "THESE ARE THINGS I MUST COLLECT, I MUST HAVE MORE THAN ALL MY CLASSMATES". I actually didn't give a second thought to most of the Pokémon, just that some were cute and that I didn't like others.
When I first saw the animé, it was the episode in Viridian Forest with Caterpie, and it was in Spanish... and this is back when my English was terrible. I had NO idea what was going on but I recognised Caterpie (because I was a Bug Maniac with the cards) and thought, "oh this must be a show based off those cards I collect".

I was a logical child. XD

It was kindergarten. There was this girl who used to play with me, and she had an imaginary Togepi that rode around on her head. I just kind of went along with it for a while, then finally asked her what a "Tok-uh-pi" was. She was shocked that I'd never heard of Pokemon... and that's where it all began. I wish I could meet her again, to thank her ^^

*Sigh* I can barely recall the first days of my love for pokemon.
All I can recall was that I was watching some of the first episodes, and I was three
But it was my sister who got me into it.

She used to love pokemon too, infact, when we got our first pokemon game while on a trip to Disneyland a couple years later (It was pokemon Silver, along with a special addition gameboy with a Pichu and Pikachu on it.), that's when we really got into it. We eventually bought the guide to the game, including all the pokemon released at that time (The second generation), and she would trace her own pokemon, cut them out, and play with them. I was jealous and wanted to play with her, and often bugged her to draw me some, but she said no.
She wouldn't even let me try her silver version.

I do though, recall a few times inwhich while I was sitting in the car with mom while waiting to pick her up, I would play her Silver without saving, and would watch as her Quilava would evolve over and over again XD

Now, back to the true topic.
When I first saw pokemon? I basically got the concept, but I thought being a pokemon master ment being the top trainer in all the world and have all pokemon that ever existed.

Back in 1999, I was eight years old and I can tell that every kid was with the eyes glued to the television since we saw the first pokémon commercial on Cartoon Network and in a local channel on my country.

I remember that one of the first pokémon that I saw was Geodude, and until today is one of my favorite pokémon.

The rest is history, every kid purchased the games and everything with a first generaion creature on it and pirated stuff of the franchise was the very best bussiness.

Dunno.
My first memory of pokémon was using pikachu, jigglypuff and charizard on pokemon stadium against my cousin and letting jigglypuff use sing and sing only ._. I was 4. So I pretty much got shown it by my cousin.
