Andromeda's Traditional Arts

Hello~

I decided to just take a peek at all the different shops here, and I guess I want to start making my own.
I have been doing traditional arts for a good 3~4 years now, and feel rather confident to take requests now.

Later on, I think I might do some photoshop, I an currently learning how to use multiple brushes at once, and manipulate colors/hues as well as lighting.

Anyhoo~ Enough with my babbling, here are some examples of my art. XD

*NEWEST* 2011- Wyvern - Dragon Queen - Anime Girl #4

As you can see, my coloring has gotten a lot better over the years, and my scanner also made them more crappier.
My parents just bought a brand new wireless printer/scanner, so I'm rather excited to test drive it with my future requests.
Also, I apologize for the horrible lighting on my Wyvern piece, my entire tablet wouldn't fit into my scanner. xD

Pixel/Spriting

Some other things I do besides traditional arts is some occasional spriting.
I wouldn't say I'm exactly a 'pro' yet, but I'm not too horrible, either.
Here are just some I made a few months ago for an upcoming project a few friends and I are creating.






OH, I totally forgot.
I also go on this chat hosting site called Xat, Not sure about anyone else here that goes there, but I make 30x30 avatars. I find them fun and easy to make. you can use these as affiliate buttons, avatars, etc. I have 3 total styles I can make.

Style #1:
A nice, simple avatar. No real editing besides cropping and adjusting colors so they stand out.

Style #2:
Enhanced colors, and some small text initialing. I can't really do full words, since it 99% of the time cannot fit on a
30x30 canvas. I also add a bit of a gradient to the lettering to give it an almost 3D look.

Style #3:
Style 3 has both lettering and a thin border around the sprite. I like the white border because it makes them look
like paper dolls. <3 You don't necessarily have to have white, but it's just my main default of choice if you
don't pick one.

I can also make little Gen IV team banners with emoticons.


Obviously I'd get rid of the white background for a transparent one, but yeah, I find these so fun to make.

Later on when I'm in the mood, I can post more examples of my sprite work,
but I can't find any others at the moment, so I will just make more.

Requesting/Rules

If you are going to request art from me, I have a few easy rules.

- Please do not rush me. I know you are anxious, but I do not like to be pestered all the time being asked when I will be done. Please just have a little patience with me. At times, I can be a little slow, so if it has been well over 2 weeks, and you STILL have gotten no status from me, you may send me a PM, (this meaning ONE (1)) and give me a little poke. But if this becomes a frequent thing, i.e. PMing me every other day, I will simply stop your request, and move on to the next.

- Please use the appropriate form. I specifically made them to keep myself, and you, organized. If I see just some jumbled up request, in no real order, or organization, I will simply ignore it until you can properly write it for me.

- STEALING is no way AT ALL tolerable for me. Unless you don't want to be miserable, I suggest you give me the proper credits needed. I spend HOURS doing my art, and I would NOT at all be happy to see some lowly art thief steal my work, claiming it as theirs. This is my biggest peeve of all, and if I see it happen, you will be put on a black list (not on here, mind you, but rather an external notebook of mine -cough-) and not to mention, reported to GTS+ for thievery.

- If the list is currently full, it's currently full. I don't do 'reserves' for people that aren't on the list, so it's a first come first serve dealio. Don't like it, tough. It's how I work. I work relatively fast, so a list jam shouldn't be a continuous problem, unless something comes up, then I will notify at the top of my thread, or even in the title that I will be a bit slow. Please have patience, I'm only one person.

- I don't mind questions, feel free to ask. If you have questions on how to do something with arts, feel free to ask me and I will do my best to answer and help you. Though, please be aware, I am not some magic oracle of knowledge, I may be wrong, so please do not come after me and start spitting flames. I make mistakes, I know, we all do. If you don't trust my answers, you can certainly use the all mighty Google.

- Advertisers/Shop Workers/Whatever you want to call yourselves that like to share shops. I suppose I wouldn't mind, in fact, I think it would be kind of fun by collaborating our galleries. I think it would be a nice opportunity to get to know people. If you would like to share your art here in a mini gallery, and host your own share in my shop, feel free. I will have a form specifically for all you little artists who'd like to join. C:

One last rule, and this is probably one of the most important.

- If you happen to be disappointed, or in some way, not satisfied with how your request went, please do not get upset and start a huge flame war with me. I would prefer it if we can do this in a civil manner, that way we can work something out. If you are polite during this discussion, I can happily redo your request, and if I'm feeling generous, I will even put you back in the list, even if it's full. But if you just continue to bash me, or my art, I'm going to have to report you. I'm not the fricken da Vinci. My art's not perfect. But I do my best, alright? If you don't like my style, please just find another shop that suits your interests. Also, if I find out people are requesting more intricate arts, just for the sake of bashing me by saying they don't like it, I will close my shop. I consider my arts a luxury thing for myself, and I'd rather not people spoil my artistic moods for their own sick amusement. I do not like to be toyed with. I take my art seriously, and I hope you do the same as well.

Forms

TRADITIONAL ARTS FORM
Username: Isn't it weird how we all request this?
Type of Art: Choose from either:
- Regular Pencil (I like to use mechanical the most, but I have regular sketching pencils with different thicknesses.)
- Pencil & Inking (I use pencil first, then outline it in ink)
- Full Sha-bang (I draw the whole thing out in pencil, use ink pens [each with different thicknesses as well], and
use colored pencils. I like to use Derwent or Prisma Color.)
What you want: Here you can give me a photo reference of something you want drawn, for example, some cute anime girl you found on Photobucket. That would be fine. Or just a Pokemon, or a few Poke's in a group.
*Note: I prefer it if you provide me an image to look at if you are requesting something other than a pokemon. Also, I am not too good with realistic images, i.e. something with real life objects in pictures (God, I just made that sound so confusing). If you absolutely cannot find an image for me, I guess I can deal with it. But PLEASE, pleaseplease. please. be as specific as you can for me. I am not a Gardevoir (ok, yeah, poor joke..). If you have a tendency to notice details, or are just a detail freak, please note down everything you want so I do not miss it, and have an angry requester. I also request you look over your submission form at least twice and make sure you have everything. I would not want to have to waste my art because of a simple mistake which can be easily avoided.

Request: This is where you give me the information of what you want done, whether it be:
- VS Sprite
- Trainer Sprite
- Pokemon Recolor/Fusion/Etc.
- Small pixels (30x30) & text lettering of choice (what you want it to say. 1~6 letters can be used, no more than 6,
or I cannot fit it into the image.
- Gen IV team banner with emoticons. (Specify Pokemon, as well as emoticons for each, and what order you want
them in. Trainer is optional, but if you don't list it, I will just put a default Trainer Hero of my choice as your trainer
sprite.

SHOP/GALLERY SHARERS

Email Address/Any form of external GTS+ contact: (You may PM this to me if you don't feel comfortable sharing it in my thread, that is fine.) This is merely so you can email me any new art pieces you have so I can add them, and so I also do not loose them on my GTS+ account. ^^;
Sample art you would like to share: (A minimum of at least 3 pieces, can be the same, or different, up to you completely. But do not cram your entire collection on me, I want to be able to have some space. So, maybe give me a maximum of 10?)
Any additional comments: I noticed people like to distinguish themselves with a little Pokemon icon, so feel free to add which icon you want to be recognized with. If an icon is taken, you may not use it, it will just make things confusing.

Hmm.. I think eventually I might start up a fan fiction request shop. X3 ~

Type of Art: I would prefer Full "Sha-bang," but if not, I would settle for Pencil in Inking. C: Actually, I wouldn't mind any, 'cause you doing this from the kindness of your heart. Also, also, I love how you came up with "Sha-bang." Haha... Sha-bang~

What you want: Humm, I guess I shall provide a picture and description just to be sure. Lala... Now to go fetch my picture(s)~

Kitsura's just a normal Me Species running around! The thing that separates her would be her unique spots (since every single Me species has a different pattern!) and her one wing. Her one wing is on her left side, not her right. She loves to explore and just... well, draw, write, and relax.

Any additional comments here:

Dah, dah, I would love it if you used your creativity and, um, well, design an outfit for her! Just nothing with a dress please, 'cause that would be out of characteerrrr. Um, her style? She's fine with anything as long as it's not a dress or skirt. Pfft, sounds wide right? Nah, she doesn't really like pink and purple.

Draw her doing whatever you want! If you're dead out of ideas, you can, uh... um... Oh...! I'd love it if you drew her sitting up against a bench or whatever, but dozing off. Oh, I shall have to draw that myself. But that's a last resort, miss~ 'Cause I know you're brewing with your creative juices, already having something planned out, right?

Pffft, half of this is nonsensical rambling. To sum it up, I want you to go crazy and as creative as you want! I'll love the see the end result no matter how it looks~ Um, and thank yew in advance, missus.

I forgot to add one of my pieces.

Blehh, this wasn't one of my best ones, but I took my time on it, nevertheless.
I'm a little disappointed with her left eye (bigger eye).
This was done in pencil, ink, then colored pencil.

Oh god, I really need to clean out my Photobucket.
I found another sprite, a recolor, actually. Was supposed to be for a role play, but never got around to actually doing it.

Could you make my OC? She is the girl in my sig roasting a marshmallow.

She has brown hair that reaches the middle of her back, which is usually pulled up into a high ponytail. Her bangs are parted on the right, with the smaller section hanging straight down and framing the right of her face, while the larger sweeps to the left and almost covers her eye.
For clothes, she wears a blue, short-sleeved shirt that has a hood and a large, hoodie-like pocket on the front, black cargo shorts that reach the knee, and blue sneakers with white ankle socks. She also has blue wristbands, and a black necklace with a blue heart pendant.
