Hey guys! Did you all enjoy last month's thread? (: I hope so! Every month a new community thread will be made and the old one will be discarded into the archives. I don't want a super huge thread to continue to get even bigger, so I hope everyone is excited for a fresh start every month!

If you're new here then don't be shy! The community thread is the place to come and chat with fellow members of the site who share a common interest with you. Talk about whatever you want, whether it's GPX related or something going on in your personal life, just be sure to read the rules first before posting. There's always someone on the forums to read and respond to your posts, so chat away and maybe you'll meet some great people!

Rules

• Regular forum rules still apply here. Basically don't double post. Don't ask for clicks every time you fill your party. Unless it gets out of hand*, I'm okay with you linking to an exploration Pokemon who needs a specific berry.
  
  *out of hand meaning I don't want to see Pokémon being linked just for leveling or if they need drinks for happiness. These kinds of interactions can be handled just fine by being in your parties and signatures.
  
  
• Do not post your shinies here, there's a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=5491 for that. Discussing them is OK though! Just make sure you add content to your post.
  
  
• Make sure your post contains worthwhile content. If you're posting an exploration Pokémon to be fed berries then be sure to add other content to your post. Same with discussing shinies. Find people to reply to or start a discussion yourself! Your post must, with the shiny portion and berry feeding hypothetically removed*, not read as if you're talking to yourself. To clarify, your post should not be an out-loud thought to yourself, and should contain more general discussion than just information on your current shiny luck.
  
  *if you were to read your post, skipping over any mention of shinies, the post should still sound like a good post.
  
  If any posts are found breaking this rule then they will be instantly deleted and handed a 10% warn.
  
  
• Do not post your GPX+ gear grinders in this thread either. There's also a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=49472 for that. This is mostly for raging at staff or site events that you don't like.

Monthly Raffle

Nominations are now gone, and I'm using post count to determine how many entries you have into the raffle. The first 19 posts you have will count as one entry, and every ten after that will count as an extra. Think of it as the first number of your post count is how many entries you have. To see what your post count is, click on the number of replies any certain thread has. Nothing else on the site will influence the amount of entries you receive, so if you'd like a chance to win, then post here frequently!

The raffle is what chooses who gets to choose what's in next month's egg distribution. There are no other site advantages other than that, and even then the whole site gets a chance at that Pokémon that you chose!

How to get an egg from this event

• You must keep at least one slot open in your party.
• You MUST have logged in sometime on GPX+ in the last two weeks.
• You can not be in the restricted group.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES

1. No, you do NOT have to be online at the time I am sending out eggs.
2. These eggs do NOT show up in the Lab for the event. They are sent out randomly.
3. There is ONE set shiny for each Pokémon, but every other egg has a regular chance of being shiny.
4. If you obtain ONE of the eggs from this event, you will NOT be able to obtain another one from this same event. This means if you get an egg on day 1 of this event, you can't get an event egg from any other day during this event. By the way, abandoning an event egg does nothing. So if you get one you might as well keep it and be happy.
5. If we find any accounts being made just to get eggs from the event then they will be immediately banned along with your main.
6. If you were a winner of the raffle, your chosen Pokémon will be spawned into your party on the day of the event. It won't be forced shiny, but there's always a small chance just like any other egg! This will not count as an event egg and you can still receive one from the event.
7. There is no guarantee that you'll receive an egg. There have been about 3k users online daily and there are only 1,750 eggs going out, so that at least gives you a little more than a 50% chance at getting something.
8. Eggs chosen will not be available to pick from again for 3 months. If x egg was in the January egg distribution, then it can not be chosen again until April.
9. The event runs at 4 p.m. server time.

• October 2nd: Mewtwo - Winner: Hiraelle - 350 eggs
• October 3rd: Zygarde - Winner: Sportsfan666 - 350 eggs
• October 4th: Nightmares bringing you down? Try not to sleep on moonless nights. ~ Darkrai ~ 350 eggs
• October 5th: Yveltal - Winner: RicFule - 350 eggs
• October 6th: Shaymin - Winner: Vande - 350 eggs
• October 7th: Terrakion - Winner: SilverPT - 350 eggs
• October 8th: The origin of this creepy crawler is a bit distorted. ~ Giratina ~ 350 eggs

Wow, five winners AND two mysteries this month? mmmm. There are some REALLY good choices here, but I'm going with Mystery 1. I bet it's Darkrai, and I <3 Darkrai. <3 Also, four explos now?! Dang. It'll be so hard to pick just two :c

Zygarde was my first choice. So, I got my second choice instead.

Last mystery egg sounds like Giratina to me. And first mystery appears to be Darkrai, as aforementioned.

Wow legendaries everywhere this month! So many choices I need another Mewtwo because I accidentally released my Mega Mewtwo Y...might try and get that from the event first, and then do the exploration if the event doesn't pull through for me

Looks like we got a new rayquaza novelty too! I grabbed both of them -- can't wait to see what this new ray looks like. If you read the egg dex info for the corrupted rayquaza, I think it sounds like it might the last mystery egg. What do you guys think?

It's a pretty nice time waster, but the heart system doesn't let you play for long. I managed to get pretty far, but there comes a point where you kinda have to either grind levels or just throw your Pokemon at a stage until you get lucky.


I think the shiny form looks a bit cooler. I guess purple isn't very spoopy to me. I think I'm probably going to go for Terrakion, it was actually my second choice (followed by Regice) because I have the pokedex info, but not egg dex.


The new rayquaza novelty looks pretty cool from the stats page image, can't wait to see a hatched one.

Aww... I didn't get to hatch a shiny in time to finish the SWSH. I hope it won't cost too many Prize Points to buy whatever it is from the Prize Shop.

Four Special Explorations available each month now.. This may make choosing a bit more difficult, but I'm glad that this will make them cycle through sooner. The Legendaries will be more accessible.

There are a lot of eggs being distributed this month. Very nice. O: Since I don't have Zygarde, that's my first choice. If that fails, hopefully I receive Yveltal. I don't have that entry, either.

anddd I seem to have missed something.... Hmm....



September felt like a very slow month to me. I'm kind of glad it's over...
I hope my mood picks up soon. I'm not really sure what caused what, but being as upset as I have been is taking a huge physical toll right now. I'm not feeling well due to it, and this is a really bad time for me to start going through one of these phases.

Meh. I'll give you that. But the Psyduck event was unheralded. And we weren't told about it in advance. Well, not explicitly anyway. We had the egg drawing show up in the post, but no info saying, "There will be an egg drop today" type thing.

But I'm sticking with my Giratina idea: The origin of this creepy crawler is a bit distorted.

The Origin Forme of 'Tina looks like a bug and 'Tina is found in the Distortion World.

EDIT - And I just hatched a 158 IV Charmander. O _ o! But I think I'll stick with my 147 IV Flareon, even if Charizard would likely take first.

Also, this new Mismagius Novelty sounds cool. I think I'm going to wait until it's more widely available (this is probably the wrong wording, but oh well) to decide whether I want to evolve my future shiny ghosty-goo or not, though. Gotta see what the sprite looks like first.

Happy Birthday, PokeNOM! And wow I really love Master of Illusions Mismagius! So cool, and the colors (both shiny and non-shiny) are awesome! Can't wait to see what Misquaza looks like (if green orbs ever rotate into the shop......).

And yes, I'm definitely thinking Darkrai and Giratina for the mystery eggs.

By both forms, I meant regular and shiny. Took me a while to find my Ray egg though.

I'll be doing Mewtwo first because I haven't done it in a while and I need one to replace the one I mega-evolved. Then as for the second one, I'm not sure about yet.

Too bad I didn't get to hatch a shiny during this SWSH. It's been FOREVER since I failed one... probably didn't happen since right about when the hunts started. Well, hopefully I'll still get Misquaza/MoI!Mismagius soon enough. They are lovely things for sure.

The raffle prizes are great this time around. I wouldn't mind a Mewtwo so that I wouldn't have to do the exploration, but I'll just get started on the exploration anyway. I guess I'll go for Yveltal or Zygarde, though I think I'd prefer the latter just to have a shot at the shiny.

NEW THREAD HYPE, 2SPOOPY

First of all, happy birthday PokeNOM NOM NOM (one of my all-time favorite usernames btw). This month's raffle is looking great. I'm hoping for Zygarde, myself. Also, Mismagius's new form is 2spoopy4me

On Shuffle, I'm at Stage 81 against Giratina, and shooting for 100. I'm failing a lot more on these later levels, as is expected.

I signed up for the Jeopardy online test, which is coming next Tuesday (they FINALLY brought back College Championship). Anyone else follow Jeopardy right now?

Im guessing the 4th is Darkrai and the 8th is giratina but out of those i dont know which one i want. I also want to go for terrakion because i love its shiny form. Grrrrr its so hard to choose!

In reverse order: That's good. I need a second item on the off chance I ever get a Misdreavus shiny.

Yeah. I'm going to make sure my Party is locked for the Mewtwo one. I mean, I'd LIKE a Green Mewtwo, but I only need Zygarde and Yveltal to have all the canon pokemon. {Still need Xerneas's EggDex, but that's a different story.} And I have no plans to have two slots open on the fifth. Don't need but one Yveltal.

Though I've only completed Dotw once, I can honestly say that despite you needing to do it 16-17 times, it's still insanely easier than the chaos that is TBD.

I'm going to pick up another Grimoire once they're in the shop for when I get a shiny misdreavus. I chose to do 3 duskulls and 2 shuppets (working on 2nd) first.

Haven't been watching Jeopardy much lately, but that sounds pretty cool.



Also, I keep running into this "'s" guy on the mobile Berry Feeder. Are they a bot or something? Because I don't think you can have that many "feed Wild Pokemon X Berry X amount of times" types of things in your Party all at once. Seriously, though, everytime I load up a new batch, it seems like that "'s" person shows up in it.

I'm also highly unlucky with shinies. The only Shard variety I have multiple of is Spooky...I have two. I've hatched a handful of Normal-type shinies recently, so the fact that those don't count is frustrating.

Rawst, please. I'm bitter about the fact it took me this long to make it to this step (pun possibly intended).

Definitely doing Darkrai this month. Only attempted it once and gave up partway through that time, so it's one of the few I still have to do.

Is the new Mismagius a reference to anything? It looks pretty badass, but several recent novelties have been a nod to something, and I don't get this one.

...never mind, I just looked it up. Misquaza and the new form are references to an anime episode (which would explain why I didn't know about them).

EDIT: Also, am I the only one surprised that the new Novelty is another based on the Misdreavus line?

'Grats on the appropriately timed spooky shiny space legendary. I don't really have the patience to hunt legendaries (even unofficially) so I'm just doing an unofficial hunt for a shiny bulba clone. I went to the shelter a minute ago and found four Flabebe lined up together, so I just grabbed all four. Maybe one will be lucky~

Yeah, I'm going to fill up my party so I can't get Mewtwo, knowing my awful luck I'd get him making Zygarde/Yveltal chance gone. I'm doing his exploration after I finish Meloetta's and do Weather Trio for a quick Green Orb for when the new item is purchasable.


Also, I'm happy a item I need is in stock for once(Soda). Now it's time to get a Ralts...... and I see no eggs or any in the safari...... really don't want to breed one.

i always just get corruption orbs from chests / underground tho so ive only hatched like , , 3 probably

Misquaza... sounds interesting, I want one! Though I already want another Grimoire for my not-shiny Mismagius. Maybe both eventually. Who knows?

If you guys go check out the Pokemon counts, then Ctrl+F "Misquaza" you'll get to see it. IT'S AWESOME.

I don't know if I want Zygarde or Yveltal... probably Zygarde, I was never a huge fan of Yveltal, though I would REALLY like a Xerneas already. And Meloetta, I don't have her yet so weee.

I hope some will go for it, it has two mega evolutions after all

I already have the novelty in shiny, that's great. The shiny form is way better.

Really want Zygarde or Yveltal (only legendaries I don't have other than Xerneas).

Also...of course the reward would be for the one shiny I didn't hatch for the hunt...looks like I'll have to finish that one fast for the Shiny Dex Entry.

I've been craving pizza lately and I think I want to try making some rolls/pockets at home. Last time I tried, the result was sorta awful. Has anyone tried and actually succeeded at it? If so, do you have any tips?

A quesadilla maker (the kind that presses it into six separate triangles) makes AMAZING pizza pockets. They are a bit messy (especially if you overfill them) but they are seriously the only reason I own a quesadilla maker.

Of course the shiny Roggenrola catches Pokerus the moment I decide I want it out of my party. Thanks, dude.

The same thing happened after I got a Duskull out of the underground the other day, sent it straight to my party instead of the box. Tried putting him in after the eggs I had hatched and..... locked to party. Had to wait for antidote to spawn in the shop as I didn't want to use up 20 pass orbs. Trying to get that achievement for owning 3,000 pass orbs

@Doom Damn man.... your getting all the nice shinies. I wouldnt get your hopes up... i got a shiny ho-oh on august 1st and nothing good happened the rest of the month at least it was shiny... but i should have had a hunt for it... figures the one time i dont do a hunt when i get legendary egg

Well I completely forgot to save some Heart Scales for that task, so it took me longer than expected. I was hoping to get that task done so I could sleep but it didn't work out.

Tried summoning a Rayquaza egg but missed because I got distracted. No Misquaza for me until I can get a Green Orb to try again. I just hope the prize shop gets them soon.

Decided to put my Mewtwo in my party to max it's happiness to mega evolve it. Once this exploration is done, then I can do the same thing with the other Mewtwo and kill two birds with one stone .

The new Mismagius novelty looks really cool. I happened to have a Green Orb in my inventory, so I summoned a Ray as well. Curious to see how the Misquaza will look like.

Not sure yet what I'll be going for in the distributions. It looks like I already have all of the available pokémon. I think I'm gonna try for Zygarde first and if I don't get it, then I'll decide what else I want to try for.

As for explorations,, it's gonna be Mew and Meloetta. Mew because I want its shiny, and Meloetta because I want to have both forms at the same time.

My 1st and 2nd pick were Yveltal and Zygarde, that's why having Terrakion is the best scenario. It prevents me from doing its explo one more time and, since I'm gonna try to grab Yveltal, it prevents me from doing its explo (together with Xerneas, when it comes out) more than one time.

And this was weird. I saw the multiplier and thought "well, someone filled Prize+" but no banner was there. I refreshed, still no banner and no Prize+ symbol. Went to my Inventory and saw Tyranitarite, one of those mega stones that was missing. But the Plus was only filled today. I must have had that bug when you get two mega stones.

Anyway, totally going for Mew and Meloetta as my special explos this month. I'm missing Mew's and Meloetta's Step form egg entry. I'm also missing one Mewtwo for my living dex, but that can definitely wait. So many explos to do, I'm starting to love October already!

So jealous of that sh. Giratina, that's my favorite shiny legend in Sinnoh(I have quite a few shiny ones in my Pokemon games I love it that much xD). One of these days I'll hatch another shiny legend(I hatched a shiny Latias a long time ago, but exchanged it for a shiny Shaymin).

You could always do what I did, and find it in 2 pages, the original page that popped up after I summoned and then the first refresh. OR! You could stalk the Lab, grab a failed Summon, and then summon for a "Legendary Raffle" and not even attempt to find yours.

And I know you said back in September's thread that you asked for your egg to be on your birthday. But that leads me to wonder, "How are the giveaway dates chosen?"

Are they done in the order the winners were chosen, the order that the winners respond, or arbitrarily?

Welp, university decided to kick my butt today. A group presentation and an individual research paper assigned all at once.

Working on my Mewtwo exploration, hoping to get one with better IVs. Also been playing a bit of Shuffle, but need to catch 8 more mons to challenge Mega Glalie. *sigh*

Kind of in the mood to play one of the Pokemon games/hacks I have on my laptop-- thoughts, anybody? I've got BlazeBlack 1 and 2 (by the inestimable Drayano), Pokemon Sared Gold (HG hack, also by Drayano), Pokemon Obsidian (Platinum hack by the Nuzlocker Fedora Jack), Ranger: Guardian Signs, and Explorers of Sky (I've beaten the story mode on that one already).

And congrats on the birthday, PokeNOM! Hope you have a good one. (On a side note, you're actually older than me by two years. I turn 27 this December. Which I REALLY hope I get chosen for on its raffle/event. )

Kinda bummed that I didn't get my shiny, though.

And is it weird that I first thought Genesect for the second Mystery Egg? Because he's actually a Bug type. Giratina isn't. Hence why that thought didn't come to mind on first glance.

(And yes, I know that Altered Forme Giratina looks somewhat centipede-like. I figured it was more a basilisk though. )

Wow, that's a lot of raffle eggs! I don't have any preference this time, so I guess I'll just open a spot and see which one drops my way. There's also a fourth special exploration to choose from! Mmm decisions, decisions. "Finding your muse" shows the standard "Upon completion of this exploration, you must wait 30 days before you may embark on it again." but the others don't. Weird.

The new Mismagius looks very eerie in both color palettes! The regular color feels like it's possessed, while the shiny color feels like it's about to end the world as we know it.

Today's had its ups and downs..

Went to go purchase a couple of birthday cards when I discovered my debit card isn't on me (the one with money on), so mini panic. Tried to remember where I last used it, and wasn't sure if it was at home or not, rang up the Costa in the city centre in Coventry and turns out I'd left it there, and they cut it up so nobody could take it.. so need to order another one.

In the meantime I'll have to move money over to my other account and use it that way.

On the plus side, I got a high B in a really difficult Biology homework, and my referral latter came through today, so need to go book myself in. Only problem is there's only two hospitals I could go to, one in Nuneaton and one in Solihull, so travelling.. but the sooner the better I suppose!

EDIT - @ Sam: Did they cut it before you called? Or after? Because I know that here, we usually give found cards to office personnel and they put it aside in case the person who lost the card comes back into the store.

@Doom: Congrats to your shiny Giratina! If Godslayer is your Rayquaza, Leviathan or Lucifer might be quite fitting. Leviathan is technically a sea serpent, but they're both linked with the devil and by extension Halloween

Well my day is going quite well, not only did I get my Mewtwo egg, but I finally hatched my sh. Torchic . I didn't realize it was shiny at first, I was wondering why it was still in my party, cue mini freakout. It was my 6th attempt at hatching for a shiny Torchic, I wanted other targets more so I quit several times. At least now I can get my shiny Mega Blaziken!

I'm about to start the Darkrai exploration, looks like that was an exploration I missed for some reason. I think I ended up buying a Legend Voucher and got my Darkrai that way *shrug*. From the looks of the first task, I think I understand why I never did the exploration .

trying to get the wingulls and all the other pokemon for task 5 was bad but its taking forever to finish task 6

Yo Sinnoh was incredible. Absolutely loved the plot, characters, music, and Pokemon. Plus Diamond was my second Pokemon game and I have maybe ~800 hours throughout all my playthroughs of Platinum.

Hmm this week has been really good compared to the two before where I was not only sick the second week but was pretty down because of personal reasons during the first.

Finding pokémon can be a real pain when a lot of people are doing it at the same time, that's why I usually do them either really early [barely a few hours after the 1st day of the month reset] or late (a few days after).

And yeah, I also hate berry tasks.

Yeah I rang up and they couldn't find it, then I got a voicemail about 10 seconds after to say it was found in a drawer but they had to cut it for liability reasons or something.

It's not a problem really as I can get a new one, but yeah the card details could still be used. But if anything goes out of my account that I'm not aware of, I'll know where to go.

Yeah the berry feeding task for the Mewtwo exploration was a pain, I actually had an easier time finding Wingull eggs . Only issue I had was getting enough Heart Scales to release them.

So much clicking for the Darkrai exploration, I have 1504 left to do out of 5000. My fingers are starting to hurt from clicking so much . At least this is the last clicking task I have to do for this exploration, it'll give my clicking fingers a break.

I put a 137 IV Infernape in for the Poke Hunt. I haven't had much luck finding any Pokemon with decent IVs, so I'll keep that guy in for now. Once the Darkrai exploration is done I'll start looking again, hopefully I can find a better one.

I think I got lucky for this Poke Hunt; hatched a 147IV Charmander. As soon as it's happiness is maxed out I'll Mega Evolve him. That should net my first Flame Shard.

Do you have vitamins? I would advise you to pump your Flareon with 6. That should give you first place. Starters usually need something like +159 IVs.

Emboar has less egg steps and usually eeveelutions only need something between 125-135.

To my surprised, I just hatched a Shiny Zergoose! It doesn't count towards Undaunted but it's always nice to have that shiny dex entry out of the way.

So many possible nicknames for a Giratina. I've got several suggestions:

Apocalypse/Revelation (Biblical themed names from the Revelation of St. John, the former is the name of my in-game Origin Giratina on my physical Platinum card. Latter is the English translation of former.)
Youkage (portmanteau of youkai and kage)
Yorukage (portmanteau of yoru and kage, translates to 'night shadow')
Basilisk (after what its Altered Forme is based on)

Feel free to use any of my suggestions.

I'm watching Gundam Wing tonight. I had started the series when it aired on TV in 2001 but I moved before I could see the end, so I decided to treat myself and buy the DVDs. Now that I'm older and I'm hearing her original voice, I find Relena much more likeable (*ducks flying bricks*) and I can really appreciate how ridiculous Heero's feats are. Gundam Wing was one of my first Intenet fandoms and I had turned to the Internet to guess the end. I had no clue how to find recaps back then, so I had mostly gathered details from fanfics. I'm really enjoying seeing the origin of many fandom memes, like Wufei's motorbike which turned into Wufei's love for big bikes in some fanfics.

SPOOPY SCARY I'm so excited it's October. To mark the occasion I got my Sakura Miku Nendoroid in the mail today... lol.

She is obscenely cute, it's ridiculous. Other fun things that happened a few days ago is I got three DS games from Gamestop for $6.46... Cooking Mama, Elite Beat Agents, and The Legendary Starfy, haha. Cooking Mama is my go-to game when I'm a lazy ass but want to do something, but one feels WAY harder than four was.

I'm excited about all the upcoming anime. I'm planning on watching One Punch Man, Owarimonogatari, Komari-san Can't Decline, maybe Gundam, and the new Lupin the Third show if I can.

Finally completed the Darkrai exploration and now I have a pretty egg in my party. That means two of the special explorations are done for the month, so I can relax. I've released an Umbreon and a Scrafty so if anyone needs those, they'll show up soon.

Still no Green Orbs in the Prize Shop . I've spent most of the time not clicking stalking the lab, but no legends to be found. I'm not really lucky when it comes to sniping summons .

I'm just stoked that there are more anime-based novelties coming out. And the purple Rayquaza was always quite epic...probably only beaten by Mewtwo in armour. If armoured Mewtwo comes on the site, I think I might die of happiness I think there was also a mirage arc at one point with the legendaries, wasn't there? Kyogre wasn't there, but maybe they could do an adaptation with that...?

Edit: Finally got a shiny charmander! my first reaction was "*high pitched voice* yes yes yesyesyesss! Finally!" even though it wasent that many eggs i hadn't really been working on my hunts. -532 day shiny hunt and only 408 eggs... this tells me i should work on fewer shiny hunts and actually try to hatch some eggs when i start one X)

Also I just won in Smash by doing pretty much nothing. I wound up getting zero KOs and stood there motionless during Sudden Death and I still somehow won. If I was Luigi it would have been even more perfect.

So apparently we have Mewtwo and Darkrai(at least the vibes are) from both explo and event. That is why I'm having second thoughts about starting either explos. Since Mew is out of the events so I might start one as soon as I complete my current one (A Vacation to Remember). Will be vying for either Mewtwo or Darkrai.

And the creepy crawler from 8th October, why do I feel it's a Zygarde though it'll be distributed on 3rd? I can't imagine any creepy crawler other than Zygarde. Only the end will tell.

I got that achievement a long time ago ~ Wish i could go back and redo it. I liked trying to see how many pokemon i could click in a day just to get the achievement the fastest... i dont think i was the fastest though.

Well this day has been productive, that's three explorations I've finished today . Neither my Mewtwo nor my Darkrai were shiny. I got the Mega's for Mewtwo in the dex, and finished the Darkrai exploration for the first time. According to the achievements, there are 5 explorations I have to do to have all the ones needed to get said achievement. Not sure which ones I need to do to count for this, but I have a feeling I need to do TBD/DotW.

I've clicked so many things today I had over 500 shelter grabs . This is the first time I've had so many since the first year I joined gpx. I'm surprised that my laptop handled this much clicking, it normally gets slow/cranky when I do 1000, let alone 57k interactions. I'll never be able to do the 250k achievement, but I'm happy with my progress today .

Giratina also has the "origin" forme so that might be another hint. I'm hoping I can get a Terrakion because I still need his egg dex info. If I don't manage to get him, I think his exploration is still somewhat overdue...so eventually he shall be mine.


I'm wondering if the number of egg giveaway days increased because a lot of people were complaining about not getting one. I didn't really see anyone complain, but I managed to get one every month so far. /shrug

Same here. I managed to get around 100 k the day I returned last month as I sped through Diancie's and Zekrom's explorations to start my first SWSH I actually attempted to do..... and got lucky.
But the battle related achievements for the Subway won't get done either...... mostly cause I'm lazy and not good at battling here

Ugh today was a long day. I didn't do so well driving, nearly went up on the curb, hit two cones at the DMV practice area (though I didn't knock them over), and almost sideswiped a vehicle because my grandpa isn't good at giving directions. Plus I'm starting to get sick, and I didn't have much time for clicking today (trying to catch up on clickbacks, sorry everyone). I'm also hoping to finally hatch a decent IV'd Larvesta before the Pokehunt ends, but it doesn't look like that's happening.

Got my shiny Noibat and ranked one in this Pokehunt. Getting two shards within an hour of each other was pretty nice~
Now I have six plates that are 3/5 or 4/5 complete. I wonder which I'll be able to finish next.

Well, I'm up to stage 164 on the Latias escalation. 150 required all items, but after that the difficulty dropped quite a bit, so I think I'm okay (for now) going all the way up to 200. I'll have to stop and play the meowth stage for awhile in order to have enough coins to beat 200, but seeing as I've made really good progress so far, I'm not too worried.

Now if only my shiny hunts would cooperate. The last shard I got was more than two weeks ago, and 2/3 of my poison-type hunts are around 500+ eggs (Nidoran F is 550-something and Zubat is 490-something; Seviper, which is just my backup for when I can't find eggs of the others, is just over 100 so far).

This guy needs pechas, please!

Ah, nendoroids. I have Marth and Kirby on preorder. None of the others currently on sale from what I can see are from series I'm really into... or they're sold out and therefore cost a fortune e.g. Ryuko and Satsuki. But I have the figmas of those.

Same here, and I suspect Little Ara gave me hers. It's no fun when you're home alone wanting comfort food (pizza and mac and cheese) and trying to keep up with an energetic, snotty toddler but all you have the energy to do is make a peanut butter sandwich (though of course said toddler will eat at least half of it).

My world history class is teaching me a lot about my family history without even knowing it. My mom's side of the family is mostly European and it's interesting to see how many Germanic tribes I might be descended from.

I had to make the executive decision to buy a Dreidel. I have three Prize Points left. (If I didn't place in the Poke Hunt, I'd be just short.)

I'm officially terrified. I mentioned last month that my school's Quiz Bowl team is starting up. We took the placement test last Thursday, and the results come back this weekend. I'm afraid we might have just missed it...

Managed to nab a Latias and Ho-oh from the Shelter yesterday. Neither were Shiny (given my luck, they'll never be).

My team won trivia! It was kinda hard tonight, but we still pulled it out by four points.

Also just finished Mystery Creature of the Ruins again! I don't know why it took me so long. Time for Darkrai.

Okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the shiny misdreaveus/mismagus, but the master of illusion form is beyond awesome and now I must hunt one.

So, since misquaza needs to be changed as an egg, would getting a shiny one, as opposed to a shiny rayquaza, be a good thing or a bad thing? Anyone have thoughts?

My state has its annual show/festival on this week. There's heaps of rides, games, showbags, animal and farming displays, all that kinda stuff. I went there today, it was pretty hot but good fun. I got an Oreo showbag, now I have a heap of Oreos to eat It has strawberry flavoured Oreos in there...I didn't even know they existed haha.

Has anyone here ever placed 1st in the pokehunt, if so can you share how you do it? I spent three days hunting for the highest IV fire starter (so it's rare), got one of 129, evolved it to the max + mega evolved it but I still only placed second. Is there something that counts that I'm overlooking, like level maybe?

I think if it's shiny it gets some sort of benefit?

The help page says:
" What criteria are Pokémon judged on?
There are a number of criteria on which Pokémon are judged. They include:
- How rare the Pokémon is
- If the Pokémon is fully-evolved or not
- The total IVs of the Pokémon
- If the Pokémon is shiny or not


There are also a few other minor things, but we'll leave those to you to figure out!"

Level doesn't count.
129 IVs is not that high, it can be enough if the egg maturity is high, but this week there was Flareon and Volcarona with higher egg maturity so a starter doesn't stand a chance.
Gender counts apparently, if the gender ratio is skewed - a female Flareon would need less IVs to place than an male (not sure about that but apparently it counts).

mijzelffan > It's mostly the IVs and Egg Maturity that seem to matter. Always pick a rare pokémon, too. For starters, try picking at least 150IV. Avoid those with a novelty since they're more common than the rest. Try Mega forms too?

I forgot about the hunt again and just threw a random Flareon in and got rank 2. xD

I used to play VDex, but their events were a major turnoff when I left. The only one I liked was the one where you had to play this dungeon minigame to collect points. Way better than super low chance to find an event mon in the first place and super low chance to catch it if you find it and oh if you lose your focus for a moment due to mindless refreshing, you'll probably refresh over the super rare event mon. At least on GPX+, I can watch videos while clicking and don't need to pay attention every single second. (And I'm guaranteed to get a reward in the end. )

Yeah, the mindless refreshing on VDex bored me to no end. I had a nice collection of special natures, but that wasn't enough to hold my interest anymore.
On GPX, it's not particularly fun to click, but every interaction counts. On VDex you can refresh for hours and have nothing to show for it - except lost time.

I've become a big fan of Iain De Caestecker. In the first season, personality-wise, you could barely tell the difference between him and Jemma and now he's doing such a great job as Fitz.



Pretty long. We're still missing a few Megas, Hoopa (already released) and Volcanion. And Zygarde forms will only come with the new game, so...

Btw, it will be pretty hard to break May's record (280 pages, although the rules were different at the time) or even August (130 pages with the basically the same rules as now). Non-holiday months should have something between 80-100 pages. :P

Oh come on shop, get some Green Orbs . I wish I caught the Rayquaza I summoned the other day, I wouldn't have to wait for the shop to restock with what I want. It was the same way waiting for Heart Sweets/Honey, every item BUT those would be in the shop when I needed them. I think the shop knows when you want something .

I couldn't even fall asleep until like 4:30 at the earliest. Then I woke up while it was still darkish because I couldn't breathe. So all in all I've probably accumulated like 4 hours of sleep. I hate hate HATE being sick.

At least I don't have class today. Have a group meeting but that's about it. I wanted to go to the farmer's market downtown but I'm tempted to just sleep.... god I hate feeling so drained.

I got rank 1 for the Poke Hunt as well and got my first Flame Shard. That leaves two more plates I haven't started yet: Icicle and Toxic. I also finally got another shiny Furfrou and I need one more to have the whole set. Now I have to decide which plate I should work on completing now. I may do Arceus again next week or so.

I have to leave for the hospital in a few minutes. My grandmother got involved in a car accident a couple days ago. She didn't get severely injured but she broke a few bones and has to stay there for a few weeks, so I'm going pay her a visit.

I'm glad I got a last minute Eevee with 140+ stats, I ended up getting Rank 1 with my 143 IV Flareon. That means I got my second Flame Shard, and 12 prize points of course. I'm 5 Prize Points away from having 200, so I can buy the Legend Voucher to get Xerneas. I'm hoping that I get the Yveltal for the distribution, that way I don't have to save another 200 prize points for a voucher.

Well this Xerneas in X is still being stubborn, or maybe I'm being too picky with its IVs. I'm glad that all legends get 3 max IVs in 6th gen, though getting them where I want is challenging. I think I used up all the luck getting Yveltal, it took me 8 hours to get a Modest 31/31/31/31/31/26 IVd one .

I just have a couple last minute things to finish before next week's meeting in San Antonio. While it'll be nice to go back there, I won't be there long enough to really enjoy it which makes the whole "why am I going" thing even more of a "huh" moment. *sigh* But with 19 registrants now for a 1.5 day meeting, and my co-workers attending the other 2.5 day meeting, I guess that leaves just me. So here's hoping I can earn the chance to get an event egg this month before I have to travel.

Apparently http://nintendoeverything.com/3-character-slots-2-stage-slots-found-in-latest-smash-bros-wii-u3ds-patch/. Three character placeholder slots and two stage placeholder slots have been found in the game's code. Before the recent 1.1.1 patch there were only two placeholders for characters.
My guess is that this is related to the Smash Ballot, which by the way ends tomorrow. Then again this could be Sakurai deceiving us all again.

I got 1st Place like once, I think? I forget what with, though. I was just mass-hatching Eggs of varying maturities and hoping for good IV's.

Speaking of PokeHunts, I can never seem to find anything that good to put into them anymore. (I mean, yeah, 136 IVed Pansear [Didn't think I had time to level it + evolve it] isn't bad, but it's still a Pansear.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIRAELLE! That's how I felt, kind of, when I chose the Zergoose. I'm sure there are those who wanted Mewtwo (I know I do, but I'm hoping for tomorrow's chance). I'd never turn down a free egg. If I ever get lucky with the drawing again, I already know what novelty I'd choose. Yeah. Novelty. Not legendary; novelty. I just think GPX did a great job with the novelties and I wanna collect them all - with no history to them.

For the Poke Hunts, egg maturity seems to be a big thing aswell. So for the Fire Hunt for example, Larvesta is a good choice since the egg maturity for it is high. Rarity is also a big thing aswell as IVs of course. Starters only have 5,120 egg steps so pokes with higher maturities are better.

Well I have no energy to get up and cook supper today, I just want to lie down in bed. My bed is just too comfortable some days, this being one of those days.

I'll be glad when my mom and sister leave tonight, they are going up to the movie theater to see Magic Mike XXL. They asked me if I wanted to go, but its not my type of movie. The house is going to be so quiet when they are gone, can't wait .

Remembered to keep my party full, so I didn't get a Mewtwo egg. If Yveltal wasn't an option, I'd have definitely went after Mewtwo.

I just need Zygarde and Yveltal. Terrakion too as I don't own him or the rest of his trio. If I don't end up with one of them I'm going to try for the rest for a possible shiny

Its the montly event. where the first week of the month you have a chance to obtain one of the legendaries/novelties the lucky people picked.
The event gives them out randomly to who ever has an open spot in their party. but only 350 are giving out a day so theres a chance you might not get one...
and chances are someone already explained this faster then me lol

Well I hope some people are still happy with Mewtwo.
It's the last Mega I needed so yay, don't have to do that exploration for me. I'll do explorations for Mew and Darkrai instead.
