I am actually fluent in English! I also speak some Spanish and a little bit of Japanese.
I can also proficiently write in English too! I am also fluent with reading/writing katakana, one of the three Japanese alphabets (4 if you count romanji). I can read most hiragana and about 10 kanji characters, but I can't really write them, oddly. .-. I am currently learning Japanese, and there is no need for me to say anything about fluently speaking English. 日本 は すごい です。 Translation for the non-readers (click to show ) Yes, Warden Notes, it is. I traveled there four years ago, which is why I know bits and pieces of the language/alphabets. I want to go back, if only to eat some okonomiyaki, tempura, or takoyaki again... -------------------- |

English is my native language. I have been learning french and german for 3 years now going on 5, so hopefully I will become very fluent in those.
I did take latin for a year but i cant remember a thing. I also know a few words and phrases in Japanese and I can read most hiraganna. I really want to get better at the language though. I want to find a course I can take somewhere so I can learn the language properly and become fluent. -------------------- |

English. Like, proper British English (after all, I do live in England!). I still know a bit of French, Germand and Mandarin that I learned back when I was in school, but just a few words. I don't really have the memory for learning new languages.

I speak English, some Spanish, little Japanese, and American Sign Language. That last one I learned because of my deaf step-cousin.

Just English, but I am determined to learn German one day. (You can tell I'm serious because of the use of italics.)

English fluently. And I took Spanish in school for 9 years, but I bet I couldn't carry on a conversation anymore. I remember a good deal of French though. And I know random Japanese words, and a small amount of Latin. Finnish is what I want to work with next.

I'm pretty sure I started a thread exactly like this a while back....yep, positive.
Anyways, I can speak English, Spanish and Japanese fluently. I have just mastered Latin and am aiming to master French. I also have the strangest feeling to learn Greek and Russian (I know basic Russian already, so I guess that's a head start.) My personal goal is to master 8 languages by the time I'm 23 (which I'm already halfway through thanks to good teachers and self-taught books. ) -------------------- |

English is the only language I can speak fluently, but I know a tiny bit of spanish (took 3 years of it in High School, and only know a few words...ugh), a tiny bit of German (One year) and a little Japanese, not including the fangirl-kawaii-speak *shudder*. I took a semester of it in jr. high.

Currently studying Japanese at the level where normal, everyday Japanese is no problem and the same goes for playing games in Japanese, watching anime and reading manga.
