[Valstrax]

Story

The world has been peaceful for a while, for the most part. Sure, there's war, disease, poverty, tyranny... but there are still people living peaceful lives. Soon, however, that too changes.

It is the year 2010. Most people were just going about in their everyday lives, when, suddenly, the daily news announced a disaster. "Great Britain has suddenly been shrouded by a strange darkness. There have been reports of people dying already, but we do not have any more information about this disaster due to the fact that our news team suddenly died while investigating the incident. We highly urge everybody to stay away from Great Britain until this darkness clears."

But guess what? The darkness never did clear. Now, all people live in fear, afraid that their country will be the next to fall. Nobody has found out what caused the darkness, nor is anybody willing to investigate any further due to the confirmed death caused the darkness.

However, all is not lost. Four heroes will rise to the task of preventing the darkness from spreading. They are determined to find the cause of this darkness, even if they risk losing their lives. The question is... even if they find the cause, is there truly a way to prevent the spread of darkness? Our four heroes will have to find that out for themselves...


This will be a Roleplay between RetinaMagnet, LiteSpeed, Inhuman Rampage, and Dr Higginbotham.

The characters are Xaté ( and her alter-ego, Xeneré), Dess (and her alter-ego, Melissa), Skye Gatsune, and Zion Dairk. Xaté, Dess, Skye, and Zion are the characters of RetinaMagnet, Inhuman Rampage, LiteSpeed, and Dr Higginbotham, respectively.

Name: Dessdemona (Dess) VanEtten
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: March 27th, 1990. 20 years old.

History: When Dess was in first grade, there was a boy who would make fun of her by calling her names, often "stupid and ugly". After a while of this, Dess came to believe that both of those statements were true. A few weeks later, the boy got physical with Dess, yanking her hair and kicking her in the shins.

She did not tolerate this, no. She punched him right in his mouth, knocking one of his teeth out. Dess got in trouble for retaliating, and the boy got off without a punishment. After a few more weeks, the boy moved away. This made Dess feel as if she got a hundred pounds lifted off her shoulders.

When she was in third grade, her old elderly neighbors moved out. This saddened Dess, since she liked to talk to the elderly wife after school everyday. The new people that moved in had two children. One younger girl and a boy who looked like he was in sixth grade.

Dess tried to be nice, and be friends with them. But all the boy did was lock Dess in the creepy basement. She was there for days, surrounded by creepy dolls. On the brink of starvation, she seemed to hear one of them talk to her. She responded back, talking to all of the dolls. She then developed another personality. Her name was Melissa.

Dess liked talking to Melissa the best, since she lived in her head. One day while in the basement, Melissa took control of all of Dess' body. She forced Dess to go upstairs, and she kicked the door down. The boy rushed down, and Melissa beat him until he was bloody and injured badly.

Melissa gave Dess control, and she freaked out. Dess did not know what to do at all, so she just left him laying there. She ran back home, and went up to her room. She then developed one last personality, which was called Bliss. Bliss was nice, and she always made Dess feel better by giving words of encouragement, or by complimenting her.

When Dess was in sixth grade, she and Melissa made a deal that she would only come out if Dess was really angry, or she was depressed. Melissa accepted the deal, and it stayed. Bliss only came out if Dess was truly happy, which was very rare.

As Dess advanced in school, she would hurt more people. Like the snooty popular girl who called her a cow. That did not go unpunished. No. Dess covered up the evidence buy burning the body, and spreading the ashes. When reading the newspaper the next day, her death was listed as "Natural Causes". Dess couldn't help but laugh as she read it.

Melissa and Bliss got into many fights with each other, and Dess had to split them up often. They both put up a barrier in her mind so that either of them could not hear each other anymore. Dess did not care, just as long as they stopped fighting.

One day, near the end of high school, Dess thought of all the people who she has harmed, and the families she affected by killing their children or loved ones. She became very depressed by this. She was so depressed that she had to take antidepressants. If she missed one day on taking them, she would get very depressed.

Her parents tried sending her to a councilor by age 19. She accepted, trying to be as friendly as she could towards the person. The therapy did not help her, so she stopped going. This made her parents furious with her, and they told her she had to go.

Dess got angry too, saying that she was old enough to make her own choices. Her parents wouldn't listen, and Melissa took over. She quickly killed them both, and she let Dess back into control. Dess was very afraid, so she burned the bodies, like what she did with anyone else, and she spread the ashes.

She became very depressed after this, and she even tried to kill herself. Luckily, Bliss took over by force, and told her not to. She told her that her parents would not want her to do this if they were still alive, and she told Dess a bunch of other things that changed her mind.

A few weeks after Dess' 20th birthday, her grandmother passed away. In her will, she was left with some jewelry. She doesn't wear it, but she keeps it safe inside a box on her nightstand. Her grandmother's passing upset Dess, so her antidepressants had to be intensified since her old ones were no longer working.

Personality: Dess doesn't really get happy much. It's very rare for her to smile or laugh at all. Sometimes Bliss will force herself out, and she will make Dess act happy on purpose. Dess regains control quickly, however. Unfortunately for Dess, she is very quick to anger. Something as slight as someone running into her will piss her off.

Dess has a very disturbed personality. The years of torture from her neighbor, the years of ridicule at school, all of those have slowly driven her to insanity, and a mild case of schizophrenia. She developed a murderous second personality named Melissa.

Melissa is very sadistic, and she often will talk to Dess about killing people, or at least badly injuring them. The only time that Melissa takes control over Dess, is when she gets angry, or very very sad. Melissa usually lets Dess regain control, but only after she has beaten her victim.

Other than Melissa and Bliss, Dess has a fairly normal personality. She doesn't really make that many friends at all, since she is quiet and she has never met anyone else with schizophrenia.

Dess is rarely ever happy at all. She is mostly "gloom and doom". But there are times when she is truly happy. Like if she has just accomplished something, then she will praise herself. However, if she messed up on something, she will call herself a failure and put herself down. She often punishes herself for her failures, either by hitting or cutting herself. She finds those punishments appropriate for her failure.

When Dess gets sad, which is a lot since she suffers from depression, Melissa takes control and tries to cheer her up by causing someone pain and making them suffer. This makes Dess feel a little bit better, since she knows someone actually cares. She only gets very sad if she forgets to take her antidepressants.

One thing she cannot stand, is being put in a windowless room. She hates feeling trapped, and will go berserk if she is ever put in one. She is Clausterphobic and will get angry if she is put in a tight area, since she feels as if someone is taking all of her air supply and trapping her.

Dess loves spicy foods. She could eat them all day if she wanted to, but one thing she can't stand is sour food. The thought of it is enough to make her want to vomit, and if she ever eats something sour she will vomit just because it is so nasty and disgusting.

Appearance: Dess is fairly short for her age, only reaching 5'3" and weighing in at 118 pounds. Her eyes are a bright ocean blue, but they are mostly icy and stone cold. She is fairly pale, and scrawny looking.

Her hair is black and straight. It is fairly messy, often falling into her eyes. She doesn't care though. For clothes, she wears a black shirt, that dips down slightly. It doesn't cover her shoulders that much at all. Near the end of the sleeves, is a little thing that seems to lace up, like shoe laces. The shirt seems to not go down all the way, and shows her stomach slightly, as if it were too small. It is supposed to be like that.

For lower wear, she wears a pair of black jeans. They are kept up with a black belt. There seems to be a chain on her belt that hangs off, and goes around to one of the loops on the back. For shoes she wears a pair of black steel toed combat boots.

Gender: Male
Date of Birth: January 13, 1989

History: WTH I'll do this. To be revealed~

Personality: oh we'll see. He'll mold as the roleplay progresses. He starts out timid.

Appearance: Short, unruly brown hair. Green eyes. Stands about 6"3'. No scars, tatoos, piercings, etc. His clothes consist of a simple black tshirt, some jeans, a red bandana tied around his shoulder, white and black shoes, and occasionaly some long rod-like thing attached to his belt as he is weird that way.

History: Hold on: I'm busy for a little. Will type up later.
Personality: Zion is generally a reserved kind of guy, but he loves his good friends Kai and Hinan. He usually is the type that goes to the back of the line when there are a lot of people, meaning he is a gentleman-type. He is loyal and honest, and incredibly brave. He is not afraid to stand up for himself, and he loves to be with his friends. Zion has made friends by judging their character and way of heart, so he never loses them. His friends say he is a great friend, except he is never there when you need him. He also has a secret fear of injury, death, and flowers. Zion is a great mediator, and he can calm people down, and make them not insane, or something.


Appearance: Zion's about 6' 5" and 175 lbs. He is very skinny for his age, but don't judge him wrong. He once beat two musclemen in a lifting weights competition. Zion has black hair with Silver tips. He has a white cap, with a red ring in the shape of a semicircle. His shirt is white with blue streaks, having a pocket on the outside, like a breastpocket, where he stores his wallet and other important items. (People don't like that lump in his shirt, they think it is a bomb or something that terrorists wield) and he has a black undershirt that has a graphic of a fish on it. His eyes are hazelnut-colored, and his teeth are very white. His pants are just black jeans, with a lot of pockets, because he doesn't have a backpack, and his shoes are specially designed runners that are good for sprinting. Under his socks, it looks like there is a switchblade, but it is actually a pocketknife for self defense.


RP Sample: (from Keys to the Demon Prison)

Gosh dangit, shut UP, Buzz!" Zion let loose. Buzz the Gigigear was buzzing like an alarm clock, for last night's events had not exactly been the greatest. Buzz had been throwing gears around because he was uncomfortable in his chair he was sleeping in in the Lilycove Hotel. One of them had hit the television, another the alarm clock, and another Mudish. Mudish and Buzz had a fight, and their room was in ruins. Zion decided to let the cleaning ladies take care of that one.



He got dressed, then did his usual morning at 4:00 a.m. routine- sleep until Nine after getting dressed. He fell into his slightly declining bed.



....At about six it happened.



There was a sharp knock on the door, and Zion woke up, very drowsy. He said, "DOOR'S UNLOCKED!" and the person bursted through. It was his sister's mentor, Lance. What's he doing in my room? Zion thought. Lance said, "I need to tell you something. You know about Sinnoh, right?"



"Yes." Zion replied as calmly as he could.



"Well, Stark Mountain has some precious metals inside it, and some of the badges that gym leaders give out to trainers.... well... are made of the metals." Lance was trying to tell something without giving too much away.



"Ok. Wait- is the one YOU gave me made from these metals? So I can sell it on iBay for a profit?"

((XDDDD))





"No, don't do that. Do NOT do that." Lance's voice rang through the room. Then the former-champion of Johto looked around the room and saw how messy it was. Zion said sheepishly, "Heheh. Funny story there."



"I'm sure it is. I was never here, I bid you farewell, and good luck for the journey ahead to the ma-" Lance threw himself out the door before he could say anything else.



Zion sighed, then rested on a slightly better-condition resting place.



While Zion was asleep, Mudish made a couple sounds that meant -Buzz, you better not trash the room again!-



Buzz replied, -Get over it. You were taking up all the comfortable spots, you oversized Mudkip. You were ALSO the one that lost to that person's Darkrai, and I had to make him faint. You could have at least WEAKENED him.



--a few hours later-



"Come back, into your Pokeballs." Zion stated assertively. He put all five of the Pokeballs down on the bathroom sink, watching. Man, Mudish, Nefus, Horace, Hodgeki, and Buzz. My absolute best Pokemon that I won the Unova league with. I think I made the right choice.



Zion trundled out of his room with Pokeballs inbelt and went down the hallway. I heard there's a surfing event. He ran outside, yet he was stopped by a young trainer who challenged him. Zion sent out Horace, and told him to take it easy on the kid. The youngster, after the battle, threw coins at Zion's face and started to cry. Oh well. Zion thought.



Zion ran down the beach, and he saw a girl laying on the sand. She looked... strangely uncomfortable, like there was someone watching her. Zion thought this girl was trying to act in peace, but with Zion's skill of seeing the worst and best in people, he saw the very opposite. He walked towards her.

But accepted since I can't rightly decline you when you were guaranteed a spot in the Roleplay, and since we three kings (and queens lol) of Orient dun need a sample because we already know how we Roleplay. And lol, I said to Klowii in a PM, "I bet my Dracowymsy egg that LiteSpeed's character's name will be Skye or Sky. And if he uses a last name, it'll be Gatsune, yup yup." I was that sure. XP

I am very unpredictable when it comes to RP characters. I betcha weren't expecting a schizophrenic charrie! >D

Since I tend to mostly use nice, quiet, or annoying characters. But Dess is purely insane, and I love using insane characters. >D

Dessdemona is a very beastly name. I want to name my children that. ಠ_ಠ

Name: Xaté. Her real name is Facignis, but if someone who is not her friend calls her that, she will (figuratively) bite their head off.

Gender: Female.

Date of Birth: July Fourteenth, 1994. She is sixteen. (why am I always the youngest? I AM CURSED!)

History: I'll work on this!

Personality: Xaté is cold and cruel to those she does not know. She does not like to speak, and if she is spoken to or provoked, she will speak snidely and cruelly. However, she will gradually open up to those she spends much time with. She loves to crack jokes, especially at someone's expense; however, she doesn't mean to harm others with such jokes. Even among friends, Xaté is sensitive and irascible, but her anger is not usually fiery, and she quickly makes amends. However, if her anger rises above the boiling point, she literally loses control of her body. In lieu of her usual personality, Xeneré arises to take her place.

Unlike Xaté, Xeneré is a truly cruel person. Unless you are as evil as she is, there is no making friends with her. Xeneré commits many crimes just for the pleasure of making someone miserable. For example, she will murder the father figure of a house for the sole purpose of filling his wife and his children with grief. Xeneré also loves to steal or destroy valuable things, such as money, jewelry, wallets, antiques, family photos, and stuffed animals (from small children, of course). However, since she is also clever, she will pretend to be a very nice person. Then, when her victim is caught off-guard, she will go in for the kill... literally. Xeneré takes control of Xaté's body whenever Xaté becomes uncontrollably angry, sad, or depressed.

Appearance: Xaté is a half-breed, as mentioned in the (currently nonexistent) History section. She stands at 5"11 (at least I'm not the shortest >.>) without her high heels, but with her high heels she is six feet tall. She wears a Black Coat (for exact details on such a coat, look it up at Kingdom Hearts Wiki. Also, no, it does not protect her from the darkness that fell over Great Britain, in case you're wondering.) that has pointed shoulders and three inches of space that is not occupied by her arm.

As for physical appearances, Xaté's body shape is the same as a rather skinny human's body, but she is covered head to toe in golden scales. Beneath her scales is skin the same color. Her eyes are a deep green, and she has long, dark red hair that falls down about three inches below her shoulder blades. Xaté's ears are four inches long and stick out sideways from her head. They will line up against her head, though, if she detects a sound that piques her interest. Also, she has a second stomach for making fire.

In the nighttime, Xaté transforms into a human most of the time, regardless of whether she wants to or not. Her scales disappear and her ears become normal (sigh... I rather liked being weird D=). Also, her senses are reduced to the capabilities of a human.

Under the full or new moons, Xaté transforms not into a human, but rather a dragon. She becomes four feet tall and five feet long. She has a tail that is two feet long and a pair of wings the same length. Also, in this form, she is quadrupedal, of course.

Other: Xaté wields twin katana. Their sheaths form an X across her back. Her senses of sound and smell are more enhanced than a human's, allowing her to smell or hear things that would go undetected by a human. Also, THERE IS NO RULE SIX! SO THERE!
