The Basics

Obtaining Eggs:
The main way to obtain them is through the lab. New eggs come into the lab every five minutes or so, continually, at every time of the day. Other ways to obtain eggs include breeding Pokémon, or adopting an abandoned egg/Pokémon at the Shelter.

Shiny Pokémon
Yes, there is a shiny version of every Pokémon on GPX+. For those unaware of what that means, it means that it is a Pokémon whose coloration is different than normal. In GPX+, the chance of obtaining a shiny is low, but still much higher than in the official Pokémon games. Please also note that only the Pokémon themselves will appear shiny, and not their eggs. This means you won't know if you have a shiny until the egg is hatched.

Your Party:
Your party can hold a maximum of 6 eggs/Pokémon. Should your party become full, there is a Personal Computer that you can use to store and organise your Pokémon, but you cannot store eggs in the PC. Only the eggs/Pokémon currently in your party can be clicked or gain views.

Maturing And Hatching Eggs:
Some eggs require more care and time to hatch than others. Each egg has a maturity level that it must reach before it is able to hatch. These maturity levels are taken directly from the game. For instance, a Sneasel egg in the game would take 5120 steps to hatch. The most common maturity level is 5,120, though there are some that have a lower or higher level than that. An egg cannot be hatched until you have had it for an hour or longer, even if it has reached its required maturity level. Once an egg is able to hatch, its Options drop-down box on your Pokétch will be in bold. Eggs mature by being viewed or by being warmed. You can warm an egg or feed a Pokémon a total of once per day (the day restarts during the site reset at 11:55pm EST), but there is no limit to how many individual eggs you can warm. If you have an Odd Incense, which can be bought in the shop for 60000 points, you may warm or feed a Pokémon you have already warmed or fed that day again, but only once. This adds up to a total of twice per day with the Odd Incense.

Leveling Up Pokémon:
Pokémon level up automatically once they have reached the required amount of maturity to level up. When a Pokémon is hatched, it starts at level 1. The highest level that can be reached is 100. Each Pokémon has a set amount of maturity it must reach to level up, and a total amount that it must have altogether to reach level 100. For example, a Remoraid needs to get to a maturity level of 10,000 to level up. By the time it is level 100, it will have a total maturity level of 1,000,000. Pokémon mature by being viewed or being fed a berry. You can only feed a Pokémon once per day (unless you have an Odd Incense, which was covered earlier), but there is no limit to how many individual Pokémon you can feed. Pokémon will also gain maturity hourly if they are being taken care of in our Daycare center. If you put a Pokémon in the Walker, your Pokémon may also level up while you are warming eggs and feeding other Pokémon.

Evolution And Forme Changes

Pokémon evolution:
Most Pokémon have the ability to evolve. Evolution is permanent and once a Pokémon has evolved, it cannot turn back into its previous stage. When a Pokémon has reached the requirements it needs for evolution, its Options drop-down box on your party page will be in bold. You do not have to evolve your Pokémon, it is purely your own choice whether you choose to do so or not. There are various methods of Pokemon evolution, all of which are listed below. Some Pokemon can also change form via the use of an item, while others may only be able to change formes at a particular time of day. Check the Pokemon’s dex page for more information.

Evolution By Required Level:
The most common method of Pokémon evolution is simply by reaching a required level. For example, once a Remoraid reaches level 25, it can evolve into an Octillery.

Evolution By Item:
Some evolve by the use of an item. The item depends on the Pokemon. This can be checked in the dex. When the Pokemon evolves with the item, that item is used and therefore cannot be reused in another evolution.

Evolution By Days:
Some Pokemon have to wait a certain amount of days before being able to evolve, generally 5 days. These days can be spent either in your party or pc.

Evolution By Happiness:
Some Pokemon will only evolve once they are fully attached to you. This means they must have 200/200 happiness. Happiness is increased when a Pokemon is interacted with. There are also certain items which increase happiness.

Evolution By Time Of Day:
Some Pokemon will only evolve during either the ‘day’ or ‘night’. The time of day is determined by the server time. More information can be found here.

Evolution By Gender:
In addition to the one of the methods mentioned above, some Pokemon also are required to be of a certain gender if they are to evolve.

Changing Pokémon forms:
A few Pokémon have the ability to change forms. These Pokémon are only able to change their forms after a certain number of days has passed, usually 5. Once a Pokémon is able to change its form, its Options drop-down box on your party page will be in bold. Changing forms is different from evolution because unlike evolution it is not permanent. You must wait a certain number of days between form changes. Some Pokemon can also change form via the use of an item. Check the Pokemon’s dex page for more information.

Items

The Shop:
The GPX+ shop can be used to purchase a variety of items using the points you accumulate by doing normal things around the site. You gain points for doing each of the following: claiming an egg/Pokémon from the Lab/Shelter, hatching an egg, evolving/form changing a Pokémon, claiming/donating your Daycare eggs, and interacting with eggs/Pokémon You can also sell some of your old unneeded items for half the amount of its value.

The Backroom:
The backroom is where items sold by other users are held. They can be bought again at a discount. The Secret Key, which can be bought in the regular shop for 25000, is required to access the backroom.

Finding Items:
In addition to purchasing items from the shop, items may also be randomly found throughout the site.

Inventory and Item Use:
Any items that you find can be found in your party page under "My Inventory". Evolutionary stones/items can only be used once, so keep that in mind. Valuable items such as mushrooms, pearls, and gold nuggets can be sold for points. Summoning items are used to summon Pokémon in the lab, which will be covered later with treasure chests.

Pal Pad and Journal:
The journal and pal pad are both purchasable from the shop for a small fee. The journal can be used to write about anything you want and supports some basic BBCode. Keep in mind that all tags (example) will be counted as characters as well, which means that using a lot of code will eat up a lot of potential space for your journal. The information written in the journal will be displayed on your user page. The pal pad allows you to add up to 32 users to it. This gives you quick access to their user page on your party page and shows the number of interactions with and from them.

Colour Tags:
To use colour in your journal, copy the code below. Replace 'Red' with the name of the colour you want and write your text in the 'text goes here' section.
CODE
[color=red]text go here[/color]

You may also use a color hex (which must be 6 chars long and doesn't have to include the #):
CODE
[color=#FFFFFF]this is white[/color]

Fresh Water, Soda Pop, Lemonade, Antidote
When using these 4 items, go to your Pokémon's info page. Along with the usual berry options, you will be given the option to feed it one of these items (if you have purchased any). This counts as your interaction with the Pokémon for that day, so you will have to wait until after the reset to feed it again. This also means that if you have already fed your Pokémon a berry that day, you will not be able to feed it one of these items unless you have the Odd Incense.

The Shelter

The Shelter:
Within the shelter, you'll find Pokémon that other trainers have chosen to no longer care for, for one reason or another. Extra eggs that are abandoned or donated from the Daycare are also sent here. Banned users will also have their account deleted one week after the ban and their Pokémon are sent to the shelter the next day, spread out over the course of 24 hours. The shelter page displays a random 60 eggs/Pokémon in the Shelter at a time, however it only displays up to one of each type of egg/Pokémon (this is why, although Bidoof are fairly common, you will never see two Bidooves in the shelter at once). You are limited to taking 6 eggs/Pokémon from the shelter in one day. If you purchase a Shelter Pass from the shop then this limit is changed to 10.

Abandoning Pokemon:
A Pokémon or egg can be abandoned 12 hours after you you obtain it. When somebody abandons a Pokémon or egg, it is sent to the Shelter. It will appear roughly 15-20 minutes after it was abandoned. You cannot ever reclaim one of your own abandoned eggs/Pokémon, even if it is abandoned by another user at a later date. When a Pokémon is abandoned, it will lose its nickname and any description given to it.

The PC

Basics
Should your party become full or you simply wish to change your party around, there is a Personal Computer that you can use to store and organise your Pokémon. You can only store 24 Pokémon in each box, but there are 25 boxes available which means you can store a total of 600 Pokémon. If you run out of space, up to 5 additional PC boxes may be purchased from the shop, priced at 6,000 points each. You cannot store eggs in your PC. Pokémon stored in your PC will not gain maturity. You can also use your PC to arrange your party. Simply drag the Pokémon in the 'My Party' section in front or behind each other to order them how you wish

Saving
When the PC is saving, you must not change pages or refresh the page. This can cause your Pokémon to be lost and your PC to stop functioning. If this happens, contact an admin. Please be aware that on occasions the Pokémon icons in your boxes may fail to load correctly, making it appear that your Pokemon are missing, when in fact they are not. Please check that this is not the case before contacting an admin. A simple refresh of the page should solve this problem.

Daycare and Breeding

Basics:
Any Pokémon left in Daycare receive a certain amount of maturity each hour. In addition, if two compatible Pokemon (see below) are left in Daycare together, they may breed in order to make a pair of new eggs. You can only choose to claim a maximum of one of these eggs. The other, or both if you decide to take neither, is sent to the shelter. In order for two Pokemon to breed together, there are a couple of conditions that first need to be met.
Genders:
The Pokemon must be of opposite genders, or male/female with genderless (see section below). Please note that unlike the official Pokémon games, if breeding with two different species of Pokémon, the produced eggs can be from either species, not just the species of the female.

Egg Groups:
The Pokemon must be in at least one of the same egg groups as each other. Filter options of the PC can be used to check which Pokemon share a egg group.

Egg Production:
Either Pokémon in a pair can produce eggs of its species, but the amount of eggs they produce and what those eggs will be are determined by a few factors:
Rarity:
The type and amount of eggs produced is effected by the rarity of the two Pokemon:
Common and Common - 50% chance of being either species, this pairing produces the highest amount of eggs
Common and Uncommon - 60% chance of being the Common species, 40% chance of being the Uncommon species
Common and Rare - 75% chance of being the Common species, 25% chance of being the Rare species
Uncommon and Uncommon - 50% chance of being either species
Uncommon and Rare - 75% chance of the Uncommon species, 25% chance of being the Rare species
Rare and Rare - 50% of being either species, this pairing produces the least amount of eggs

Novelty Pokémon (such as Easter Buneary and Crystal Onix) rarities will be treated as what their non-novelty forms are. So since regular Onix are Uncommon, Crystal Onix would be treated as Uncommon in the Daycare.

For more information about breeding rarities, please refer to this thread.

Level Difference:
The level difference between the Pokémon will also affect the amount of eggs they produce. The closer their levels are, the more eggs they are likely to produce.

Time Spent In Daycare:
The longer they have been in the Daycare together, the more they will like each other and the more eggs they will produce.

Time Needed To Produce An Egg:
After the first hour in Daycare, and every hour after, there is a chance the Pokémon will produce an egg, if they are compatible and depending on how the couple like each other.

Abandoning Eggs:
If you abandon eggs produced by your Pokémon in Daycare immediately from Daycare, they do not count towards your number of abandoned eggs/Pokémon. It is only if you take one out of Daycare and abandon it from your Party after 12 hours that it will count as being abandoned.

Novelty Pokemon:
When you breed a Novelty Pokémon, there is a slim chance that a Novelty egg will be produced. When Novelty eggs are not produced, a regular version of the Novelty Pokémon will be produced instead. This is why you can breed an Easter Buneary and get regular Buneary eggs as a result.

No Eggs Group:
Any Pokémon that is in the No Eggs group cannot breed. This includes any Novelty Pokémon that have no non-novelty form, Unown, and any legendary that is not Manaphy. When you breed Manaphy, you get Phione eggs as a result. However, Phione does not evolve into Manaphy.

Genderless Pokémon:
In GPX+, it is possible to breed genderless Pokémon without needing the other partner to be a Ditto. As long as you have the genderless Pokémon in Daycare with another Pokémon from its same Egg Group that does have a gender (it doesn't matter if it is male or female), they can produce eggs.

Ditto:
Ditto can breed with any Pokémon that can breed, but two Ditto cannot breed together to produce eggs.

Legendary Eggs

Events:
The best way of obtaining a egg of a legendary Pokemon is through a special event. Every now and then (usually a couple times a month), Wymsy will post a pinned and closed thread in the GPX+ Discussion section forums with some sort of ridiculous title .In this thread there will be in depth details on how to obtain an egg during one of these events, what dates the eggs shall be distributed. However, it will not always state what exactly will be handed out. The eggs are handed out randomly, and there is always one set shiny during an event, though there can easily be another shiny that isn't the set one. Event eggs do NOT appear in the Lab.

From The Lab:
Legendary eggs can be obtained from the lab, however the chance of one popping up is incredibly slim This is to keep them rare as they should be and deter people from trying to refresh constantly and slow the sever down in search of them. Your best bet is to just hope that you get lucky one day when looking in the Lab.

Treasure Chests:
There are various types of treasure that can be found around the site. The treasure is contained within a Treasure Chest. These Treasure Chests work in exactly the same way as the 'Little Man' (see below). If you successfully click on it, you will obtain the treasure item. This item can be used to summon the egg of a Legendary Pokemon to the Lab. The type of Legendary depends on which treasure item it is. The legendary egg will be sent to the lab as soon as you summon it, although you may have to refresh the page several times before you see it. You have 5 minutes in which only you can claim the egg. However, be warned that once the 5 minutes are up, any user may claim it. Treasure chests are considered an item, and therefore the Itemfinder will increase your chance of finding one.

Black Treasure Chests:
The Black treasure chest differs from the types of treasure chest, because it contains only one item. This item is called the Corruption Orb. Certain eggs are affected by it. When you use it, the egg is transformed and all of the maturity it currently has is erased, (it keeps all of its stats, though) and it 'starts off' with 0 maturity again. The eggs that can be corrupted are Lugia, Groudon, Dialga, and Bidofo. If you have an egg that can be corrupted, "Corrupt egg" will be added to the Options drop-down box.

Manaphy:
In addition to the first two methods, the legendary Pokemon Manaphy can be obtained by a third method exclusive to it. This works in an identical way to the 'Little Man', (see below), however showing a miniture version of the Manaphy egg sprite rather than a little man sprite, (duh).

Novelty Eggs

Novelty Eggs:
Novelty eggs are very special. They are of the Novelty rarity, and are the only eggs not capable of appearing in the Lab (except on rare occasions). Some Novelty Pokémon can breed more of its kind (see the breeding section of this FAQ), whilst others do not breed at all. Some Novelty Pokémon are made to represent a holiday or time of the year, whilst others are a unique Pokémon found in a video game or from an episode in the Animé. Others are random ideas that the admins deemed necessary to recreate in GPX. Novelty eggs are sometimes bred by staff so that they may spread, thrown into the Shelter by staff, or they will be given out during Events just like Legendary eggs. Every Novelty Pokémon has a shiny form.

The Little Man:
The Little Man is a rare occurrence on the GPX+ site. If you click the Little Man whilst you have a free space in your party, you shall receive a MissingNo. egg (which is of the Novelty rarity). Keep in mind that if the old man appears and you visit a page where Pokémon may be deposited/withdrawn (basically, the Walker/PC/Daycare) then the Little Man will disappear. The Little Man will not appear if you have a full party.

Reports

What They Are:
There are two types of reports. "Report User", on User pages, is for you to report the user's Journal entry, having an inappropriate username, suspecting them of owning multiple accounts, etc. "Report Nickname/Description", on Pokémon info pages, lets you report an inappropriate or illegal Nickname/Description.

What Should Be Reported:
Entries in the journal containing egg identification lists, 'black lists' of users or anything else against the forum and GPX+ rules. Any nicknames/descriptions containing any severe offensive language, inappropriate comments etc should also be reported. Don't send in spam reports about users 1-clicking, not clicking you back, not being active, etc. Doing so will earn you a 10% warn. Swear words are generally allowed in journals unless it is blatantly flaming another user.

Pokérus

Basics
Your Pokémon can be infected with Pokérus. Throughout the day, a small random amount of Pokémon will randomly be infected. Having Pokérus means your Pokémon gains more maturity from both views and interactions. However, it also means that you cannot store it in the PC, place it in the Daycare, or abandon it. It's a blessing and a curse. Having an infected Pokémon will not have the chance to infect other Pokémon in your Party. An infected Pokémon is automatically cured after 3 days. Only Pokémon in your Party can be infected. Eggs cannot be infected. Pokémon cannot be infected again if they already were and once a Pokémon is cured, it will no longer gain any special maturity increases.

Curing Pokérus
To help those who might not want their Pokémon to be infected (so they can store it, abandon it, put it in Daycare, etc.), an Antidote item has been added to the shop, which will cure an infected Pokémon right away. It will be in the Miscellaneous Items category, so no it rotates in and out of stock like other items and you cannot find it by browsing the site.

Pokemon Dress Up

Basics
In order to dress up your Pokémon, go to your party page and click on the Options drop-down for a Pokémon (not an egg!), or go to its info page and find the Owner Options - and click on Dress up. This will take you to a new page where you can select a background and add items to your Pokemon. You may only dress up your Pokémon 10 times per day. A Pokemon retains its Dress Up when placed in the PC or Daycare. However, it must be in your party to be dressed.

Fashion Case
In order to dress your Pokemon, you must first purchase a Fashion Case from the shop. This is a permanent use item and can be purchased for 475 points.

Items
Once you have purchased the Fashion Case, you'll notice new items available at the bottom of the Shop page when you refresh it. These items change daily. Dress-up items may also be randomly found in the Pokéwalker if you leave a Pokémon in there long enough. The dress-up item you get will be based on the Pokémon.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

Can I trade my Eggs/Pokemon?
No. The point of GPX+ is to collect the eggs and raise the Pokémon on your own. Trading will not be implemented.

Why won't my egg appear fully cracked once it reaches full maturity?
This happens because your browser's image cache has not downloaded the new image yet. In order to do this, press the Control key (Ctrl) and the F5 key at the same time (Ctrl+F5). If this does not work, contact a member of staff who will update your image for you.

I took an egg from the Lab/Shelter and its entry is in my Dex, but it's not in my Party. Where is it?
This is a bug that occurs from time to time. It happens when two people attempt to take the same egg from the Lab or Shelter at the same time. If this has happened to you then know that it is not "invisible" inside your Party, nor did it transfer to your PC. You unfortunately did not obtain the egg, though you did obtain its Dex info.

My brother/sister wants to join GPX+, but we share a computer. Will we get banned for owning multiple accounts?
No you will not, but please inform a staff member about it to avoid any mistaken situations. But not Zerxer cause he's too lazy.

Can I make a sugestion for a future event?
No, the admins decide on stuff regarding events. Same goes for novelty suggestions

Is it possible to have a warm/feed all button?
No. The idea isn't to make everything easy for you. If it was, we might as well just let you hatch/evolve anytime you want.

Could we have a Pokeradar style item that lets you see if a egg will hatch shiny?
No. Hatch it and find out for yourself. Other items that will definatly not be included are rare candies, everstones, hold items, or anything else that has a similar purpose to those.

How Many Different Types Of Pokemon Are There In GPX+?
There are currently 588 different types of Pokemon, including alternate formes and novelty Pokemon. For a complete list, open the spoiler. Thank you to Whiteace for taking the time to compile this.
