I stopped playing pokémon, but with HGSS releasing I started to become interested again.
I also wanted to try competitive play again. Since the last time I played was nearly 2 years ago (before platinum), I guess a lot of changes happened in the metagame. I wanted to start out with an UU team as its generaly easier to make a team in that tier. Registeel @ Leftovers Nature: Careful EVs: 252hp/100Atk/156Def - Earthquake - Iron Head - Stealth Rock - Thunderwave Lead and mixed tank. As soon as the battle starts I use T-wave and Stealth rock, if I can predict a trick lead, I switch to mismagius. Ursaring @ Toxic orb Ability:Quick Feet Nature:Adamant EVs: 4HP/252Atk/252Spd - Earthquake - Facade - Crunch - Swords Dance Physical sweeper. I'm still not sure wether I should use a guts + flame orb version, as i have 2 pokémon with paralisis support to aid in the lack of speed. After a Swords Dance, this thing is as scary as a real life bear, Its hits almost everything for a lot of dmg. Return is here for stab and Earthquake so I don't get walled by rocks and steals. Night Slash is here to get rid of Mismagius, wich I run into a lot. Slowbro @ Leftovers Ability:Own Tempo Nature:Bold EVs:252Hp/252Def/4S.Atk - Surf - Ice Beam - Slack Off - T-wave Bulky Water. The same as with ursaring. I'm not really sure about the set. I think I'd rather have a CC Slowbro, as I don't have that much special defense pokémon, except for Regi. Surf is obvious, stab blabla. I went for Ice Beam over Physic as I don't really have much trouble getting rid of fighting pokémon. Slack Off is obvious again, and T-Wave for support. Moltres @ Life Orb Nature:Modest EVs:4Hp/252S.Atk/252Spd - Air Slash - Fire Blast - HP Grass - Roost Special Sweeper. I chose Modest > Timid because I love the extra power, and I have enough paralize support. Air Slash and Fire Blast are for stab, And HP Grass if a water or rock pokémon etc. switches in. Roost for healing of Orb damage. Donphan @ Leftovers Nature:Adamant EVs:52Hp/252Atk/204Def - Assurance - Earthquake - Ice Shard - Rapid Spin Spinner. Moltres doesn't really like Stealth Rock, and Ursaring gets enough damage of Toxic Orb so I tought a spinner would fit in. Rapid Spin and Earthquake are obvious here. Assurance is here for those pesky ghosts again, most likely Rotom and Mismagius. Ice Shard is to pick up weakened pokémon, and for coverage. Mismagius @ Choice Scarf Nature:Modest EVs:4Hp/252S.Atk/252Spd - Shadow Ball - Thunder Bolt - HP Fighting - Trick Revenge killer. Ah, the pokémon I hate the most in UU. I don't really know why though. Shadow ball is for stab, and T-bolt and HP Fighting for coverage. Trick is to shut down opposing walls. |

Nice team, but remove Return & Night Slash and put Facade & Crunch in your Ursaring.
