So, I had my Conkeldurr paired against my adversary's Umbreon. Here's what happened:
Umbreon used Crunch. Shin (Conkeldurr) used Close Combat. Shin fainted! Conkeldurr should have 1/2 resistance to Dark-type attacks, whereas this Umbreon took no damage from a 2X damaging attack (without using Swords Dance or the like before attacking). Can somebody inform me as to what happened? Thanks! ~Iconox -------------------- |

Oh, true. Thanks! Not a problem. Happy to help. Its scary what critical hits can do in the Battle Tower here... (if it was the case of being critical), and speed can make a huge difference. -------------------- |

This looks more like a bug to me.
Are the lines in your first post straight from the battle log? Because a pokemon shouldn't faint right after using its own attack. It should have been your opponent's Umbreon that fainted, crit or not. -------------------- |

I believe so. I copied them and them posted this information at the end of my battle. I managed to win in the end; however, I thought this to be rather odd.
