It might not be the best thing. Kids would be leaving home when they are 10, if they weren't allowed they would run away. There are good and bad in a pokemon world but i would want it. Personally out of the starters I wold want a Mudkip. Also i would probably have gotten hurt a lot and have a different view on things.

There's a lot of cynical replies in this thread so I'm just going to go and say...
If pokemon DID exist the world would be a hell of a lot different due to them existing ever since humans could remember. The reason for most of the legendaries is to keep balance of the world and with them around our world would be balanced by the existance of pokemon. Didn't any of you lot actually pay attention to ANY of the pokemon stories in the games...? --------------------         |

I was aware of the legendaries, but there are also Master Balls and criminals. Yeah that is most likely true. But if our world was like the Pokemon world, then that wouldn't happen, because our money would be Poke-whatever they call it, our continents would be called regions, and they would be really small, and miracles would happen more often.

Yeah the ages for training would be higher. Also think of all the countries you wouldn't want to train in like russia or australia! There are also the pokemon that are able to change the land like tyranitars and aggrons. So the face of the planet would be very different. Especially with Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza being alive. So more the planet would look different (I think more Pangea like) and depending on whether they have been here a long time or just poofed up one day then life would be different -------------------- |

About the legendaries: even though they are supposed to keep the world in balance, in the games, if you catch them, nothing happens, except that you now have a very powerful pokemon.
