Currently leveling...

How many of you actually go through the steps to evolve your freshly hatched pokemon, and how many just throw it into the box to grab more eggs instead?

Perhaps there are only certain pokemon you bother to evolve while other's are tossed off to some dusty PC box for ages until you have nothing better to level/hatch?

Which ones are the one's you actually bother to level and which do you box away? Why?

-------

Personally, I usually prefer grabbing more eggs myself, and tend to only level and evolve one at a time, usually one for my Kantou or Water type collection. But there are some I love so much I have to level them right away, like Cubone.
I also seem to keep new legendary Pokemon in my party for ages, even after they've hit lvl100 and are taking up space.

And, frankly, there are a few pokemon I'd rather not let see the light of day ever again just out of personal dislike. I can't even think about leveling and evolving them.

I think boxing them is ok when you still have many, many eggs to get.

Depends on what I like. Lately I've been doing nothing but achievements, so all the Pokemon I want to evolve are rotting away in my "evo" boxes (except for ones that I need to evolve for achievements). Anything that I don't want to evolve/is already evolved to the stage I want goes into its appropriate type box.

PENI- Uh.. SPACE ENVY

Being a shiny obsessor...I must admit I'm the type to put pokemon (that I plan on keeping) in dusty boxes and don't plan on taking them out any time soon (unless I don't want to keep them; thus, I release them). I level pokemon to evolve usually through the walker (and occasionally training in the vs seeker). The only pokemon I plan on leveling the interactions way are shinies and legendaries.

I'm attempting to complete Sinnoh dex but I'm also getting all the evolved forms to lvl 100, so I'm kind of doing both things, since I have a lot of guys in the box, but they'll get out eventually.

All of the shinies for my hunts I've found now, more or less, and I have all the eggs for the relatively common pokemon (Except ditto and unown) so right now I'm bringing OUT all the pokemon that were left in those dusty old pc boxes. When you no longer need to grab as many eggs, evolving suddenly takes a greater priority because of achievements and the like. This means that most of my newly hatched pokemon go straight into the pokewalker to gain levels fast. But that could just be me happy.gif

I usually stuff them in my PC, unless I need to level them up for achievements (like the Badge ones), or for posterity (like my shinies).

I throw them in my PC right after hatching them, and usually throw one in the walker to level up

When I first played, I focused on the Egg Dex, so I boxed everything I hatched, then evolved them all later.

These days I box all my spare pokes and abandon them later. Sometimes I'll throw one in the walker if I have nothing to raise, then some lucky lurker can snag themselves a free Lv100 when I drop it.

Rhea Clair, don't make your entire post one colour. It is very hard to see your text at all on certain skins.

If it's something I like, I'll put it in a special box to level to 100 whenever I can. If it's a shiny fail, I stick it in a dumpbox to abandon whenever I can.

The rest of my Pokemon will eventually get to Lv. 100 once I finish my shiny hunts.

My faves

When I actually needed to evolve things, I kept them in my box and leveled what I wanted, when I wanted. Which wasn't often until I got the drive (from the achievements) to finish my non-very rare dex.

The only time I level them to 100 is when I need it for an achievement, to mate with a novelty, or just cause my Walker's empty and needs something inside it so I'll be doing a little something on the side.

Eventually it'll probably get to the point where I want all my Pokemon level 100, but for now, just this.

When I first joined I'd box pokemon as soon as they hatched to get more eggs. I then decided I wanted every pokemon on the site for dex and in boxes, eg would need pichu egg 3 times evolving one to Raichu evolving one to Pikachu and leaving one as Pichu.. Now I have all normal pokemon apart from Unowns I'm shiny hunting and will choose the evolution or hatched form I like best to keep them at.

I level up every single Pokemon I obtain up to level 100. Except for shiny hunt fails.

So yes, I guess I evolve all my Pokemon before sending them to their boxes. Actually, I go beyond just evolving them. xD

Absol

i'm pretty much working on my pokedex right now aswell as shiny hunts... so my shiny hunt pokemon obvs. go in my release box but any pokemon that i get for the pokedex that i need to evolve i stick it in my evolve box (aha, i'm so creative with my box names). i usually stick the things in my evolve box into the pokewalker or vs seeker to level them up anyways. party takes too long in my opinion...

This, leveling for me really only happens when I 'm getting achievements.
