Hacked pokemon are a real problem, but there are a few things that i wonder.

-is hacking an event to get a pokemon make that pokemon hacked?

-forcing a wild pokemon to be shiny hacked, it isnt like making a shiny groudon appear when you fish

Share your thoughts.

I believe there are similar threads to these, but I'll share my thoughts on the matter.
If you use an AR (or ANY hacking device whatsoever), then the pokemon you got with it are hacked. Even if you have caught them normally, but used the 'every pokemon is shiny' hack, then yes I would consider it hacked. I would just stay away from devices like these, but some people tend to think differently.

hmm..
I already posted my opinion on this, But here goes a short version of it:
using third party programs to enhance gaming, is Hacking...
Simples as that...
HOWEVER, In my case where I dont have Nintendo Events,I hack legendaries... such as Darkrai and Deoxys. Cuz Im never getting a legit one through events, unless Nintendo and Pokemon USA* decides to start maeking events here in Brazil...

But Using hacked pokemon for trades and battles isnt right without the other person's consent... =x

I've already posted a huge paragraph on this on another topic. However, I may have been a bit vague on some details, so i think anything which is obtained by putting a code in or using any hacking device is a hack to me, whether its to make pokemon appear shiny or create legendaries EXCEPT for arceus as the item to get to him is hacked, not the pokemon, if you battled arceus with legit pokemon and caught him fairly in a non hacked ball then i don't count that as hacked, as far as i know there is no other way to get arceus. As for hacking an event to get a pokemon, then if the pokemon appears straight in your party then its hacked, but hacking the item to get legendaries (like with arceus, the item to get to latias/latios island, the items to get lugia/ho-oh etc) is fine, as long as the pokemon has been battled and caught fairly i can consider it legit since the pokemon was already programmed to appear in the game in that place and you just hacked the item to get there, its not like the pokemon appeared out of nowhere in your party or PC. The item is hacked, the pokemon isn't. But i'd let people know that, just in case they consider it hacked as there are quite a few different views about this.

Elite 6??? Lolwut!?

If u use game shark... its hacked. If u use action replay... its hacked. Even if u just ahcked to get the event, the pokemon isnt hacked... i still consider it hacked. If you are walking through the grass and a shiny pops out at u with no cheats... its legit happy.gif

And yes, i hate hacking. Whats the point of trying to collect all 493 pokemon, if you cna just hit a button and its done? thats no fun

I have to disagree with this. Even if you caught the arceus with legit means, you couldn't have obtained it without the AR, correct? So, its hacked. I know there isn't a way to legitamately get arceus/shaymin right now, so it may be tempting, but until that time occurs, then you can't get a legit arceus.

Like I said there are lots of different views on this. You say that even if arceus is caught fairly it's not legit unless the item to get it has been obtained fairly. That means waiting for an event to get the item and all the events do is put something on your game by using a code, which is something i see is very similar to hacking. The way i see it the item is hacked, the arceus or shaymin or whatever isn't as long as its been caught fairly, if you want to trade or battle it then do you tell the other person you hacked the item to get it, even though it doesn't affect it any way? I probably would just in case but i wouldn't care if i got traded or battled a shaymin/arceus caught with a hacked item seeming as there are no events for the item. Or maybe they'll put that item on platinum?

who knows. But right now, I'm just saying that all arceus/shaymin are hacks in my eyes. I can see your point, but it seems the same as hacking the actual pokemon to me.

i agree with justbman. the arceus/shaymin would not be legit. even if it was caught fairly, the item was obtained unfairly. and you're not supposed to have arceus. arceus hasn't even been officially announced by nintendo. how can you consider that legit?

Blaze it.

Btw, just a little note to everyone, there are a lot of legit shymins now. It's been released in Japan! Well bulbapedia says it has since the 19th of July.

Anyway if you hack an event item to get a pokemon tecnically it's not hacked but in my eyes I beleive it to be hacked because without your AR/Gameshark/Whatever you couldn't have got the pokemon. Plus arceus hasn't even been revealed yet. And if you make all wild pokemon shiny it's hacked.

Although, I don't really have anything against hacked pokemon unless someone trades/battles with me without telling me it's hacked.
