A friend of mine on another site was named "Doctor Sadism" for quite a while. I didn't want to take that name, and at the time I was thinking about words to put before "Sadism". "Lieutenant" was the first to pop into my head.

My username is in reference to the Greek mythological story about the son of Daedalus, Icarus, who tried to escape his imprisonment on Crete by creating a pair of wax wings, but became so overzealous about flight that he flew too close to the sun, which melted the wax and caused him to fall to his death.

This is a shortened version of my normal user name, Mariku -- Kitten.
Mariku comes from Marik from Yu-Gi-Oh, who is my favourite character. I was originally called that by my girlfriend beause I was a psychopath during duels and I had the Winged Dragon of Ra in my deck. The kitten was later added because...well, I'm a kitty -3- But I didn't add that here due to laziness.... --------------------   |

Since nearly everybody got problems speaking out my full Name (Berenika  ') espacially some of my japanese Friends, they took the first 3 letters "Ber" of my Name and changed it into "Be-ru". It also signs me, because I'm wearing a little Bell (jap. ベル, Beru) at my neck or in my hair ^//^ I also got bells at my bag ňÓ.They're just very intresting Stories about your nicknames

mine came from my ex. i was having issues finding a username for something(i'm guessing gaiaonline) a year or two ago, and he suggested this name to me. i've been using it everywhere ever since. :P

It's actually a shortened version of a name of a character I created for a fandom I was in years ago: Doom of the Unlucky Magics. She was basically a talking black cat with magical powers who was out to create Armageddon...Unfortunately, she really sucked at it and her powers always backfired on her. XD But as you can see, that name is a bit of a mouthful, and when I first started using it as a username, just 'Doom' was already taken, so I tacked on 'magic' and there we have it. ^^

hmm.. Hisashi Shoutai is the name of one of the characters in the book im writing...
