Castform and the Weather, It just dont make sense. |

Castform changes form based on weather, and now we have weather on the site. Why not automatically change Castform's form based on the site's weather?

They say it wouldn't influence it - yet.
So maybe it will be done sometime in the future. If not, it's not a big deal... After all, it's even easier this way : you wait 5 days, period. No need to stalk the site all day long so that you don't miss the right weather and can finally get the Dex entry you were still missing... ^^' -------------------- Member of :      |

I wouldn't like this. I have my Castforms named, and I gave them personalities, for each of the forms.
If the forms would been changing from time to time, that would ruin the whole thing. Also for the shinies, shiny Castform forms are just simple Castform forms, there is no difference, I dont think people with shiny Castform in their party would love to show off a normal Castform. I prefer it this way, and I hope it never gets implemented, if it does, then Cherrim also has to change forms in the sun, but I hope they never do it. Its much easier this way. So actually, I dont even care why they didnt. --------------------     x |

Plus, if you think about the Weatherman achievement... you have to have all 4 forms of Castform in your party. If you try putting all 4 out, they would automatically change to fit the conditions. I think the current wait-5-days setting is better to be honest.

I really don't like this idea I have a castform of each form and want to keep one of each form. More trouble than help really. If you wanta castform in party to match the weather get one of each form and put the form that matches the weather in party that way your happy and every one else is.

Well weathers like clear and aurora ane neutral. Cloudy could be revert to normal. To obtain the weatherman acheivement will take timing. PC pokemon are unaffected. So get each form. Yeah, well, it just makes so much sense for the Weather Pokemon to change with the weather...
Maybe a hold item, like everstone would stop it automatically changing forms? That way your shiny could just hold this item and voila!   EDIT: I'm not suggesting it has to be Everstone, any other item that seems to prevent change would work... =]But an in-between would be that it can only change in the right weather... but it doesn't have to change. So like, if you wanted the Sunny form you would have to wait for the sun, then you can go into the settings and change forms That way it won't change unless you actually manually change it, and you wouldn't have the 5 day limit... But you would have to wait for the right weather, which kinda makes sense. Even that last one would be a really cool change though the first would require more timing and be pretty cool, too... But I personally reckon the latter idea keeps the achievement not too hard to get.

I don't think castforms should automatically change their form based on the weather, for the reasons mentioned previously (namely, the achievement, and the fact that some people simply like to collect the different forms), but I wouldn't be opposed to making castform's form changes dependent on the weather (ie, castform can change to Sunny form only if the weather is sunny, probably dependent on the five-day timer as well).

I suggest that the Castform's form depends on the weather when it hatches, and if you want to change it later, it could be like Rotom and Dracowymsy, where you have to have an item for each specific form.
EDIT: I just realized (blonde me) that you can hatch eggs whenever you want. So the items are kind of unnecessary. Sorry. -------------------- |
