It can be pronounced 'Gi-ble' or 'Gibble'. I pronounce it like 'Gibble'. For me, the 'i' is short.

Garde -> the verb garder, which is to keep.

Voir -> to see.

I'm assuming this is what the people at Gamefreak had in mind, though a second interpretation could be...

Gar -> boy

Devoir -> verb meaning to have to, or homework/something you have to do, depending on its use.

Second one's more amusing, but I somehow doubt that it's what was intended. tongue.gif

Rai-kou (kou) is how I pronounce it. Other people say 'Rai-ko'.

It's actually Rai-Kou. I'm pretty sure that's the Japanese prounounciation. As for Ray-koo or Rai-ko, that's what the messed up dub did... :S
