I hate tier lists, fer realz. They constantly change and they basically tell people who they should and shouldn't use. I say to hell with it, use who you're comfortable with *totally uses Roy* *hypocrite* I dunno, Marth is just, you know, too fast XD *falls off ledges too much with him* Oh, and Falco. Best clone in the game *nod*

Well SSBM is played competitively and so obviously tier lists are made. Just like with Pokemon, though, almost any character can be good if you make it that way.

I don't play competitively but I do enjoy the game when playing with friends and such. I use Marth, Shiek and lately Ive been finding myself using Link.

I'm for real in awe that Shiek isn't on top since he's apparently a god. And Zelda's got some wicked strong smash attacks, so I've never understood why she wasn't at least mid to high tier. Competitive players are for real beyond my comprehension.

I actually was hinting at the fact that competitive Melee players fanboy over Shiek for real. I've never seen such a huge fan base in my life (save maybe Karel. Ovarrated bastard), ohmigawd.

I love playing SSBM. It's fun playing as Luigi and blasting yourself off screen because you got the super green missle, causing you to get killed XD

I think it's impossible for me to play as Luigi, Pikachu, or Pichu without suiciding, like, ten times XD It's such a powerful move, but if the opponent jumps you're screwed XD

Yeah XD Espically at Kongo Kongo Jungle or any of the other DK stages.

About the whole Shiek thing;

Shiek is a good fast character, good for chaining and such. I prefer Fox more though. One time at a tournament, I had a Shiek user charge me for a Chain Grab so I waited. When he got close enough, BAM, reflector'd then I chain grabbed him till he died.

I'm not denying that he/she is a good character (I hate how people are always so picky about Shiek's gender. Male persona, female character; I call him male >_>), I'm just saying that I think he's a bit overrated. If you practice hard enough, you can make anyone, even Pichu, work for you, but people don't see that. All they see is the amazing fast speed and good combos. Not every character is going to have the same advantages, so why even try to compare? They're all kinds of different sizes and shapes, so it's just not possible for some of them.

I agree mostly. Pichu=No No. In fact I wonder how he is above Mewtwo on tier list.

Pichu is just Pikachu with a smaller size. Most of his self damage gains are far too small to make a large impact on performance anyway. I think the majority of them only do one damage to him.

I'm a major Roy abuser, because the SoS deals nasty damage if executed right. I also use Ganon/Ganondorf a lot for power, Sheik and sometimes Zelda, and Captain Falcon.
