I'd have to side with the classics. As much as I liked Sky Warrior, there's just something about the oldie Pokémon films that keeps you coming back to watch it over and over again...

Mewtwo. Hands down.
Sky Warrior was cute, but IMO, that's about it. It just lacked a level of heart that I'm used to in the movies, and any time there was a heartfelt moment it felt rushed, like the producers were too busy with "PUT MORE EXPLOSIONS PUT MORE PRETTY SCENERY." Plus, I found Zero incredibly boring, and where the heck did Regigigas come from, anyway?! -------------------- |

Mewtwo Strikes Back wins hands down, the first is still the best of all the Pokemon Movies IMO. Plus it was much more serious than the other movies. I mean, you cannot beat the ultimate Pokemon showdown of reals vs clones. Plus Mewtwo is just plainly much more awesome. -------------------- |

Mewtwo strikes back. It was the original and if you have seen the deleted scenes you can't help but love it (Baby Mewtwo and Amber FTW). Plus they don't make pokemon as good as they use to. The new pokemon annoy me. And the first one has my fav pokemon Mewtwo And much better fighting. If only they didn't cut out Baby Mewtwo and Amber

I like both movies, but I thought that Mewtwo Strikes Back had a more interesting plot. I really loved the ending.

Mewtwo strikes Back but probably because I'm old school and Mewtwo is cooler. Girantina never really appealed to me :/

I like Giratina and the Sky Warrior better, however in the Japanese version of the first movie it shows Mewtwo as a baby ^.^

Oh, I was so confused for a minute, I was getting the 1st movie (Mewtwo Strikes Back) mixed up with the, is it 4th? Mewtwo Returns?
Either way, I haven't seen Giratina and the Sky Warrior. I haven't been following the anime for a while, and the last whole movie I watched was, I think Destiny Deoxys, or the one with Jirachi in it, whichever came second. I've seen bits and pieces of the movies with Lucario, Darkrai, and Arceus, but walking through the room when your brother is watching them doesn't really count. Anyway, even if I had seen Shaymin's movie, I'd probably go with MSB, for the nostalgia and because Mewtwo is one of my favorite legends for so many reasons I won't bother listing them here. (By the way, where could I find the uncut version of MSB?) -------------------- No longer active on this site or on GPX+.

Mewtwo Strikes Back. I do not like the new movies, at all, and I am tired of talking legendaries. There are too many of them now. Mewtwo was awesome. Lugia was badass. Then Shaymin started talking.. it was ALRIGHT in the land form, but the sky form annoyed the hell out of me. Arceus talking is expected, since he's the god of pokemon and all, but they could have gave Arceus an older voice.. But back to Giratina. I think the villan was to short lived, everything happened too quickly, Giratina went down too fast.. ETC.

Mewtwo Strikes Back for sure. Despite Giratina's power in the game, Mew is supposed to be the origin of all Pokemon. Moves were also shown in the movie that were from Gen 2 (being Rapid Spin, Shadow Ball and Rollout) as well as gen 2 Pokemon that werent available yet (Donphan, and both Marill and Snubbull in the short). Then there was also the petrifying scene... Theres alos Mew's random scenes of floating around in the bubble and playing on the windmill x3, and the fact that Mewtwo is one of the only Legendaries in a movie to have actually killed people (in the Lab explosion when the scientists talks about having succeeded in creating the strongest Pokemon) This. You really hit the points there and that's also why I loved Mewtwo Strikes back more than any other pkm movie so far. -------------------- |
