Name: Zephyros ‘Zephyr’ Rikalon, Codename ‘FROST’
Age: 19 years old Hometown: Zephyros is originally from Ecruteak City in the Jotho region but moved with his parents to the far away Fortree City in Hoenn when he was twelve years old. Appearance: Zephyros’ appearance isn’t really that special. He has a pale skin that amazingly never gets tanned; giving people the impression he is ill. His emerald green eyes are like two beacons of light shining in the middle of his face; however the left part of his face is rarely seen as he hides it underneath his bangs. His hair is a soft oaken brown with some dark red accents. Zephyros’ hairstyle is spiky and shoulder long at the back, his bangs are straight and covering the whole left side of his face. He made his hair grow in such a way to hide the scar he has on his left eye. Being rather skinny and muscular and 6’07 tall most people think he’s an adult. So he tries to hide his length with the special clothing he designed. He wears black denim trousers and a crimson red overskirt, attached to the 1.5 inch black belt around his waist. It’s designed in such a way that the front is cut away, giving him a great freedom of movement at any time. He wears a tight fitting sleeveless black shirt with a muscle-like pattern in white lines. Above his shirt he wears a tight fitting jacket that reaches his diaphragm, it has the same crimson red colour as the overskirt. Zephyros also wears a red, oval ruby with a dragon pattern inside it around his neck. He usually wears this atop of his garments, only when he’s wearing his Team Aqua uniform he hides it underneath his clothing. Personality: Zephyros is very cynical and cold but very loyal to his cause. He is a loner but enjoys the company of others from time to time. He’ll defend anyone who he deems worthy of fighting for. He however acts totally different when his childhood friend Kiara or one of his superiors is around. He has a clear and tactical look at most things, making him a great mediator in most conflicts. He adores his pokémon and therefore studied long to know anything about them in order to keep them from harm. As he trains his pokémon he trains with them to strengthen their bond, this encourages his pokémon to fight with all their might. He likes to keep low and dislikes fighting but when driven into a corner his true potential shows as a striking battler and tactician. Few have been seen with more commitment and knowledge combined during a battle. He totally alters when engaged in combat as he normally is silent and watching, he becomes a fierce fighter. Only his cynicism stays the same. Biography: Zephyros was a playful youngster back in the days he lived in Ecruteak City. He visited the Bell Tower daily and helped the monks with some chores in exchange for stories about the legendary pokémon. As he grew older and older one of the monks who lived near him took him out on lessons about the world around him. As such he learned to recognise berries of all kinds, which ailments they could cure and how to make medicinal potions. During one of those lessons the monk had a surprise for Zephyr and his friends. A pokémon breeder had arrived with newly bred pokémon and he wanted to release them near Ecruteak City. Zephyr ran back home, telling his parents about this event and his mother decided it was time for him to learn about pokémon by catching on himself. His father gave him a pokéball with a weird pattern. The pokéball was black with a few blue spots and a yellow moon depicted on it. His Father told him this pokémon was once his own and was known as the ‘Mirage Dragon’. Upon releasing the pokémon a dratini appeared. As Zephyr asked his father how he got this dratini, his father only answered that he had once gotten it from an old friend and that it belonged to Zephyr from now on. As happy as an eight year-old could be, he ran outside with some spare pokéballs and went back to route 37. There the breeder awaited them flanked by the monk. The breeder told them his name was Paul and that he had been travelling over all five regions in search for rare pokémon to breed. Paul also said that he had released six pokémon, which was very convenient because Zephyr and his friends were with six in total. One of Zephyr’s friends, Kiara, asked Paul which kinds of pokémons he had bred. Paul replied he had bred and released the electric type Shinx, a fire type Numel, the dark types Murkrow and Zorua and last but not least the grass types Petitil and Oddish. Zephyr got all fired up when hearing about all these to him unknown pokémon and dashed off before Paul could even explain where he had released all these pokémon. His mind kept roaring on about the dark type pokémon, as he was intent on finding the Murkrow or the Zorua before his friends could. And so it happened that Zephyr miraculously encountered one of the pokémon after five minutes. Before him stood a small black fox-like pokémon, the tip of it’s head and tail had a red colour. It looked at him with glaring eyes and ran off into the thicket. Zephyr immediately started to pursuit the small pokémon and after a few hours he finally managed to catch up with the Zorua. While both Zephyr and the Zorua were exhausted and panting they looked around. This place looked awfully familiar. A broad road surrounded with giant oaks, probably standing there for a few hundred of years. All had yellow, orange and brown leaves, like in autumn. But that couldn’t be possible, he must have been dreaming because it was summer. Suddenly it struck to him, he was at the Bellchime road behind the Bell tower. He hadn’t even noticed wandering through the city, never mind even going past the towers. He looked at the Zorua and it returned its look. The shiny blue eyes stared at him, they had a cunning look however. Zephyr threw out his fathers Dratini and commanded it to use warp. The Zorua got lifted and smacked against a tree but got back up and faced its opponent. A battle commenced and after a harsh fight Zephyr’s dratini fainted. The Zorua glared at him with a self satisfying look, it however changed into a gaze filled with regret when it saw the boy’s tears flowing down its face. Zephyr had lost and returned the fainted Dratini into its pokéball. He started crying and turned away from the Zorua while standing up and returning home. As he got home he told them the story he once again bursted into tears. He had wanted a self-caught pokémon so badly… At night he couldn’t get to sleep and was standing on his balcony which overlooked the garden. He saw a swift movement near the tree and he could’ve sworn to have seen a red tail-tip at his right. As he turned to look something jumped at him and he let out a soft cry of excitement while falling down backwards. On his chest stood the little Zorua with an inquisitive look on its face. It barked triumphantly and licked Zephyr’s face. Zephyr was totally perplexed by the occurring event; the Zorua had followed him back home! He sat up straight and examined the little fox. It wagged its tail and entered his room as Zephyr stood up. It jumped on his bed and curled itself up, yawning and a self-satisfying grin on its face. Zephyr let it pass by and closed the door to his balcony before lying down beside the Zorua and falling asleep after a few minutes. The next day he showed his parents the Zorua and told them what had happened that night. His mother told him to meet up with Paul in the pokémoncenter and ask for some practical information about his new friend. And so Zephyr and the Zorua, whom was tucked away underneath the hair hanging over his shoulder, walked up to the pokémoncenter. All of his friends had gathered there and were bragging about their new partner. As they asked how he was doing the Zorua popped up and barked happily. Paul came over to him and told him he had caught a Zorua. Zephyr told Paul he hadn’t ‘caught’ it but that the Zorua had chosen to stay with him. To confirm this fact, the Zorua barked. Paul nodded and told him whatever he needed to know about Zorua’s. As Paul announced he would leave in a few days Zephyr showed him around town and waved Paul goodbye the day he left. Years went by and Zephyr and Zorua became best friends, protecting each other from harm. They had built some stamina due to Zorua frequently bullying the Taurus on route 38. One day Zephyr and Zorua came back home after getting some moomoo milk from the Miltank Farm together with Kiara as his parents announced they would move to a new City somewhere in the Hoenn region for his fathers work. Angered with this, Zephyr ran away and hid on Bellchime road together with Zorua. Kiara saw him dash out of his house towards the tower and decided to get one of the monks, as she new they would get through to him, trying to convince him that it wasn’t that bad. As the three of them sat down and were talking a giant shade flew over the road. They looked up and saw the silhouette of a grand majestic bird gracefully flying over them and disappearing in the distance. The monk gasped and Zephyr didn’t understand why he was making such a fuss about t until he told the two this was Ho-Oh. This was a sign, Ho-Oh showed himself to those who would embark on great adventures. With this said, Zephyr and Kiara made a pledge there on Bellchime road. One day they would meet again, when both had grown with their pokémon. After moving to Fortree City he and Kiara held contact with their pokénav at regular base. His father worked at the weather institute so he spent most of his time on the route between the weather institute and Fortree. As he was searching for a Tropius one day; a Mightyena jumped out of the thicket and attacked him. It slashed Zephyr’s face, giving him a deep wound across his left eye. A man clad in blue ran up to him and commanded the Mightyena to stop. The man introduced himself as Julian Solo and apologised for his Mightyena acting up like this. So it came to be that Zephyr and Julian became friends and Zephyr started to hang out with Julian quite often, the more he hung out with Julian the more he changed. If he was known to be a nice and polite young man, he would be known now as the silent type that whenever he opened his mouth his words would be filled with cynicism. When he was eighteen, Julian told him he was actually a member of team Aqua. As zephyr asked what their ideals were, Julian told it in such a way that Zephyr wanted to join team Aqua afterwards. One day Kiara showed in front of his door. She had travelled the entire Hoenn region to see her childhood friend again. Kiara told Zephyr the sad news she carried with her: one of the monk who had taught him back in the days past away and had one final wish she had to fulfil. The monk’s partner pokémon was entrusted to her and she had to make sure it reached Zephyr safely. Kiara wanted to give Zephyr the pokéball but he refused, saying he wanted to trade the pokémon with one of his own. The monk would have wanted it this way. Zephyr traded the monk’s Oshawott for his own Tropius and had a good time with Kiara afterwards. As Kiara left again to continue her journey Zephyr decided to leave Fortree too. Together with Julian he travelled to Lillycove City in order to register as a new member of Team Aqua. Preferred Faction: Team Aqua Boss: Julian Solo, a low rank admin he met in Fortree City. I really like your profile. You went all-out on the biography section and it was lovely to read. There are a few things, however.
I am curious about how Zephyr's attitude changed and am interested to see both he and this Julian character. I also find it a little intriguing that Zephyr has no hard feelings toward Julian or his mightyena for the scar he now has. It will be interesting to see how you play out your characters. Please make the above adjustments concerning your pokemon and I will have another look. Happy Halloween! ~ Umbrae -------------------- |
