Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ PANE RP School _ Starting Posts

Okay, so I will be honest, I tend to have trouble pulling out starting posts. I mean, all you have to work on is in your head. Now, I seem to always have things running in my head, but when I try to place it out in the RP, it either has trouble coming out or it changes dramatically. Think anyone has any tips for these situations?

Here's what I do:

1. Post about what happened during the last RP. Nothing too long; just to explain how one got there.

2. Explain where your character is headed and hopes to find.

3. Post what's currently going on.

Not sure if that helped; perhaps some details about your RP are in order?

Well, my chara left Barley after the events of Jailhouse Blues (someone getting arrested for suspicion of stealing a Pokemon) and headed East. Soon, he arrives to a town close to the river. nearby is a cave that has a lot of equipment nearby and people seem to be placing charms on the door because at night, Ghost Pokemon wander the streets. Pretty much, the thread is investigating what is occurring (and try my hand at getting a certain Ghost Pokemon).

As I have my characters living in my head as well as if it were an apartment building, I have learned to deal with their disagreeing with my plot plans. dry.gif And by dealing with it, I completely mean giving in.

When your post changes dramatically, I say (unless it completely destroys your plans) go along with it. Sometimes, your imagination (or characters) will drag you down a path that turns out to be better than your original plan.

As for the rest, 2g rocks major. grin.gif
