I know I'm really into metal bands lately, I was just hoping we could discuss our favorites and the like. I have yet to have the privilege to see one live, although Epica (my favorite) tends to hit a venue about an hour from home on their North American tours.

Anyway, my favorites are Symphonic Metal and also most female-fronted bands. I especially love female screamers.

Some of the bands I'm obsessed with now:
-Epica
-The Agonist
-In This Moment
-August Burns Red
-Parkway Drive
-The Devil Wears Prada
-Straight Line Stitch
-After Forever
-ReVamp
-MaYaN
-Delain

Oh, awesome! grin.gif Metal fan!

I am one so myself, even thought it may be a little hard to believe. x'D ( LOL ??? ) I've heard about some of those bands, but don't remember if I actually listened to any of those songs... Anyway, if you're a metalhead and enjoys games, I would suggest you play a PS3 game called Brütal Legend. Trust me. Seriously.

I love some heavy metal/rock bands myself, many of them I discovered on my own or with the help of my parents. cat.gif But Brütal Legend helped me a lot too. x'D
I can give a few names for you if you might be interested, both in songs and in bands C: And I find it awesome that you made a metalhead topic! xD YEAH! \m/

Recently I've been very into Overkill and Ghost. Other than that, Megadeth and GWAR are definite favourites in the metal genre.

Necrophagist, Gojira, Meshuggah, Bloodbath, Opeth, Akercocke, Aborted, Anaal Nathrakh, Anathema, Cattle Decapitation are just a few of my favourite metal bands.

I've lost count of how many bands I've seen live. Been to a festival twice too.

Some of my favorites are Wintersun, Dissection, Emperor, At the Gates, Rattenfanger, and, of course, my namesake, DragonForce.
