is there a delay in the shop when you sell things or is it immediate? After you confirm the sale, you should get a confirmation that the item has been sold for however many points instantly. There's a delay if the site's being slow or having lots of time-outs etc, but for an average day, instant. EDIT - Re-reading your question, I think I took it wrong. Do you mean this or a delay like donating Pokemon/eggs to the shelter kind of delay? Double edit - Yeah, took it wrong. My brain won't work today. Misread.. If you meant when something appears in the shop after you sell it then yes there's a delay. Other than that, no. There is a delay. Items are randomly put into the backroom, to prevent "trading" and "gifting".
