The Mysterious Light and the Box of Darkness...
(a transformation roleplay)

It was a perfectly normal night in the Sinnoh region. People were sleeping, Pokemon were sneaking out to explore, and a pair of shady figures was creeping along the backroads of Hearthome. They wore completely black uniforms and seemed to be no more than shadows. Between them, they carried a box. It was not your everyday cardboard box - it was an enormous, pitch-black box with a single silver keyhole set onto the top. By the way the mysterious figures hefted the box, you could tell that it was surprisingly light.

The figures came to the back of the Hearthome Gym. Without another word, they set down the box and ran off into the shadows.

The next day, at precisely six o'clock in the morning, a huge earthquake swept through the Hearthome area.

People panicked and ran out of the city as quickly as possible. However, not all of the people who were in the city at the time of the earthquake were hurrying to escape. Some of them - trainers, coordinators, and breeders - still had Pokemon lost inside the rubble. They rushed to save their beloved partners, and quickly exit the town.

However, seventeen did not leave the town that day. Their Pokemon lead them to the town's gym, where a mysterious ball of light rotated in midair. As each human watched, the ball of light slowly glowed in one of seventeen colors before releasing a ball of light that consumed them...

RULES:

1) One character per person. Six Pokemon per character, no legendaries.
2) You must be able to write at least three detailed sentences per post. No one liners, period.
3) No Godmoding or Powerplay.
4) Give me something blue to show you've read the rules. (like this: -hands a Poliwag to random person-)
5) If you are going to leave, post an OOC note in the actual RP at the end of the last post you create before leaving.
6) Don't fill your posts with emotes after every sentence. It looks funny.
7) No Mary Sues.
8) Be polite to the other users.
9) I reserve the right to kick you out if you keep breaking rules.

You play as a trainer/coordinator/ect. transformed into a Pokemorph. You can have as many traits of the Pokemon as you want, or as few. You'll have to choose from a list below, though.

Types are determined using the primary type. For exaple, Sneasel is Dark/Ice. It counts as a Dark-type, but not an Ice-type.

Now, what are these points? They are part of a system used for evolution, new attacks, and items! You start with ten points, plus the ones for your type and the one for your evolutionary stage! So, a Grotle would have 10+5+2 points - 17!

You can get points in other ways too:

- Posting (each post is worth 1 point)
- Winning a battle (5 points)
- Continuing to RP (20 points for every week it goes on)

The point system is mainly to keep everyone at the same experience level. The points will be tallied in this post. Also, they aren't the GPX+ points (but they are based on them, because it's a good system), and the first person to think so will be given an odd look, like so:

- Evolve to basic stage (15 RP points)
- Evolve to 1st evolution (25 RP points)
- Evolve to 2nd evolution (35 RP points)
- Learn a new move (state which one you want, for either yourself or your Pokemon) (40 RP points)
- Escape Rope (use just like in the game - if you get stuck in a dungeon in the RP, use this to escape) (20 RP points)
- Vacation Pass (if you'll be gone for more than five days, say you're using one of these. This is to keep people from dropping out without notice) (5 RP points - everyone starts with one)
- Dirty Socks (I dunno either) (1 RP point)

Clothes: Ithil wears a black, sleeveless top with a white Ank on the back and a high, red collar. She also wears a black skirt Darkrai-style. Black boots, reaching her knees, are her last peace of clothes.
She also has a silver ring-piercing through her right lower lip and one through her upper right ear and her lower left ear.
Her Hair is long and straight.
Other details: she has a scar over her right eye.

History: Ithil was born in Celestial Town. There, she learned about the myths of Sinnoh. When she was eight years old, she and her family went to visit Eterna, where she saw the statue of the legendary Pokemon. Since then she wanted to meet it.
When she was 12, she went to Almia to become a Ranger, wich she did. There, she got friends with Tereva. With 15, she returned to Sinnoh to meet every Pokemon. She accommlished it, and began to battle in the Battle Areas. She beat all of them and then became the leader of the Battle Maze. Back then, she also had other Pokemon, a Flygon, a Guardevoir, and a Frosslass, but she released them. In the Battle Maze, it's a race through a maze and you have to knock out the opponent.

Personality: Ithil is quiet and coldhearted, never showing feelings. The only one she actually likes is her best friend and Partner Tereva, her Lucario. She doesn't trust people easily, so she's not really good at teamworking. If she gets into a dangerous situation, she will kill her enemies by bringing them bad dreams that hurt them.
She is clever, and she can move without being seen or heared. She hates people who think she's a looser, and bullys.

Personality: Tereva is rather like Ithil, but more openhearted and a little nicer. Sinse Ithil doesn't talk much, Tereva does.

Stable/Unstable/Lost: Stable, but if she gets very mad, her Pokemon side takes over.

Other details: I don't think there are any. Unless he's allowed to have Skarmory's wings at all times, that'd be pretty rad.

Profession: Wandering trainer.
Accomplishments (like badges or ribbons): Full Kanto, full Johto.

History: Trystan has no memory of his life before the age of 13, when he suddenly snapped into awareness. He was raised from that age to 15 in a foster home in Fuchsia city. From there he began his journey with Growlithe, who had been with him for as long as he could remember. By the time he turned 16 Trystan had already made quite a name for himself in the world of Pokemon, having beaten the entire gym system and elite four in Kanto. Within the span of the next year, he also had the defeat of the entire elite of the Johto under his belt, as well as an Arcanine, as his foster mother had sent him a fire stone for his 16th birthday. Now, at 17, he travels in search of his missing past. His search ended up in the Sinnoh region...

Personality: Trystan is a genuinely nice person, though rather guarded. Despite his impressive travels and battle record, the loss of the memory of his developing years has left him naive and somewhat child-like. He is easy to talk to and grows attached to people easily. Trystan is terribly dense, and not at all adept at reading people, or understanding their emotions. He loves to be the center of attention, and he has a need for everyone to love him. Rejection and large crowds are his greatest fears, but he can't help but put himself out there, open and vulnerable, no matter the consequences.

Moves: Flamethrower, Bite, Extremespeed, Flame Wheel.
Arcanine is fearless and loyal. He is also quite proud and has no problem causing harm if he feels he has been insulted. The only person he is truly faithful to is Trystan, and as such the trainer is the only person who can goad him off of the offensive. He is highly intelligent, but unfortunately very rash and impulsive, which usually winds up causing problems.
