An ancient celestial feud--

Long ago, but not quite at the beginning, though unknown to the ancestors of today’s generation, two other races were created alongside them, the “humans”. These two others were more powerful than humans, and thus removed from the earth by their very same creator: AZURE.

The LIGHT race called by humans as angels were first known by the name of the first among them, מַלְאָךְ, or “Maloch”.

A DARK third race, called by humans as demons were first known by the name of the first among them, שד, or “Shaeda”.

Above the earth, in the sky if one prefers to think of it that way, the two creations of dark and light began to fight an eternal war. A kind of contract appeared much later in the form of the Binding Eclipse, an orb of energy locked in an internal struggle between darkness and light. As an avatar of their war, it possessed the power needed to tip the scales toward the possessor’s side. Thus, many years after the first skirmish, a major turning point changed their war.

Their war continues to this day, and has since wreaked havoc in the outer reaches of the sky, creating the asteroid belt, Halley’s Comet, black holes and many more celestial works. The creator AZURE became sick of this war, but could not bring himself to completely destroy his creations. His ultimate decision was to forget. To be only marginally in existence, and sleeping deeply so that he would forget. And so the highest power in existence slept and all but vanished for thousands of years.

But now, in the 21st century of the human calendar, the battle has finally returned to earth itself. Deep in his slumber, the heart of AZURE stirred and knew that he needed to act, or all three of his children would cease to exist. Both the malach and shaeda felt their creator’s awakening, and wondered, waited, held their breaths for something to happen. Though when it did, it wasn’t anything that anyone had expected.

Rules (click to showhide)

1. Remember these two words and you’ll be fine, semi literate. That means no one or two liners, and three lines are still a bit iffy but if you can do it well, go ahead. Grammar and spelling, please. If English isn’t your first language then please do say so, so I won’t bug you about it.
2. No Sues, okay? Okay! Moving on. And if there are, say, mostly girl characters already, do the sensible thing and play a guy, please? Originality is always helpful.
3. In this roleplay, the common concept of angels being good and demons being evil does not exist. That’s one of the reasons this RP addresses them as maloch and shaeda, and yes, there is such a thing as an evil maloch or a good-hearted shaeda. It’s simply their natural alignment and nothing more.

4. My little storyline/intro thing is a bit unclear. I went for mysterious, it tends to draw people in…it wasn’t too long, was it? So here’s a clearer breakdown…
a. AZURE creates three races; two are too powerful and thus relocated to the sky, or “space”.
b. A war starts to heat up, and much later a new concept appears, the Binding Eclipse. It’s an orb of sorts that represents their battle. If the maloch were, for example, to obtain it, they could use it to shift the natural alignment of things in a way advantageous to them- the day could become longer and the night shorter, for one.
c. AZURE turns his back and goes to sleep for a long time, but he awakens again with the appearance of the Binding Eclipse. Both factions sense it, but then what actually happens is AZURE “incarnates” himself on earth, in human form. Three humans, with azure eyes represent different parts of AZURE- the heart, the knowledge, and the power. We get to write the rest of the story…
d. About the setting, life for most humans continues as normal, with the occasional “otherworldly” happening now and then- however getting more frequent and larger in scale.

5. This won’t be a huge roleplay, various difficulties that prevent me from getting online for long amounts of time often pop up, and I don’t like it when I miss out on a lot of stuff. (Sorry if it sounds selfish, but I kinda got tired of having to drop out of my own RPs after what, the 7th or 8th time?)
6. Continuing with that thought, there’ll be 6 or 7 spots open, the 3 parts of AZURE and one or two maloch and shaeda or humans, whichever people prefer to play (I have a feeling it’ll be shaeda).
7. If any active member of the RP doesn’t post for over a week, then halt any posting until they either come back or say they’ve dropped out. PM them, ask their friends, see what happened. If it’s me, then, well, I’ll just ask somebody to play my character until I can come back :P
8. Yeah, the names maloch and shaeda are based on the Hebrew language. (As well as those awesome-looking symbols I used earlier.)

Information on Character Creation (click to showhide)

i. Pieces of Azure tend to take on characteristics of their former "whole" self. This manifests in different ways, like the "heart" being kind and warm-hearted, the "knowledge" being wise, etc. They also have stunning azure blue eyes.
ii. Maloch and Shaeda also tend to reflect their natural aligmnets in their outer appearances, as maloch tend to have lighter eye color and hair, while shaeda tend toward being dark-haired and dark-eyed.
iii. Maloch and Shaeda are generally, as a rule, what humans call beautiful. Aside from this, they look like ordinary humans.
iv. Pieces of Azure are aware of what they are since birth, but are as in the dark as to what will happen as much as the other races are.

Name- Your character's full name.
Age- How old is he/she? Can be any age, though it might not make sense to have one part of Azure be 90 and another 9. Maloch and Shaeda age the same as humans, but stop outwardly at a certain point that is different for every celestial.
Role- Your character's role: Are they a part of Azure? A human/maloch/shaeda?
Personality- A brief summary, I don't require anything extensive. Saves a bit of time.
Appearance- Picture optional, written mandatory.
Powers- For maloch and shaeda, this can be your typical fantasy RPG power. For the pieces of Azure, this is more what parts of the god Azure's character that they will develop over time...if they do. Example; the "heart" may be able to heal minor wounds, etc.
History- Optional.

Oh god, I'm doing it again... Alright, I'm going to ask for a reservation! Any reservation except the remaining Azure piece ;p

Three things though:
1. I'm dutch, French is my official second language then followed by english, so yes I make mistakes but I improve over time ;p (Typo's are also a curse to my account)

2. I'm a difficult person considering Rp's, but your posting-rules make me just jump in. So yes, I have the bad habit of disappearing without a word, I'll try to keep it at a minimum though

3. I'm going to take a while for my Su, I want to make a decent SU again as the sky's the LIMIT! Therefor any reservation will do!



Although I have to ask this, is it OK for me to be Shaeda or Maloch? Either way, I'd like my character to have a constellation to 'watch' over him/her. I'll make it clear in the SU but if you want more info before accepting then I'll gladly Pm you, just let me know if you're either OK with it or not xp

Name- Maka Sudo

Age- 13

Role- The hert of AZURE

Personality- Maka is impulsive, open, and brave for a little girl her age. She tends to wear her heart on her sleeve, which seems to be a recurring theme for the family she comes from. She is kind to everyone she comes across, though, and her arms are open to anyone who would call her a friend, and to those she would call friend. It's hard to anger her, but she'll be very protective of the people she knows and loves. Her determination, loyalty, and unyielding courage make her a very good ally.

Appearance: Maka's a bit shorter than most 13-year-olds, but she's got twice the courage of any of them. She stands tall and proudly, letting everyone know she's not afraid of anything that could cross her path. She's thin and athletic, but she wasn't built for any kind of heavy lifting. In other words, she's as nimble as a monkey, but as weak as a wet noodle. Her blonde hair is tied into pigtails, revealing not only her youthfulness, but her innocence as well. Her eyes are blue with flecks of green in each eye, which was supposed to be her natural eye color. Her skin is pale and when she tries to tan it, she ends up burning herself.

She likes wearing a yellow v-neck sweater-vest above a plain white tee, a green tie wrapped around her neck. She loves wearing her tie, no matter what. She's always seen with a red and black plaid skirt and a pair of white conductor's gloves tucked onto her hands. Her shoes are black with white straps wrapped along the top of the shoes like shoelaces. She always wears white socks with these shoes Sometimes, she can be seen wearing a large, black robe.

Powers: Maka has the ability to heal those around her. Not just physically, but emotionally as well. She can reach out to people, either within their flesh or within their souls, and rejuvinate them, making them better than they were before. It's almost like breathing life into someone who would welcome death.

History: There really isn't much to tell about Maka's history. She was born into a good family, until her mother and father got divorced. Her mother ended up going out into the world to learn and return wiser and more understanding, for her daughter. Her father was left to take care of the resentful child, who blamed the divorce on his flaunting ways with women. He's tried to take care of her, but to no avail. She won't let him anywhere near her and she chooses to take care of herself. That being said, she also has to take care of him if he goes out partying and comes home drunk. He's not abusive, just oblivious to the consequences of his actions.

Maka knew about her ability to help people, yet she didn't know it was actually some kind of superpower or something. She has always been good for medicines and remedies and she's always made people feel better. She's oblivious to her true nature.

Hmm... Power... well, you could go for the typical definition of "power" and have a lot of strength in your muscles, but I like a non-traditional definition, which could mean most anything. "Power" is a measure of one's finesse and strength in a certain area. Just think body.

Knowledge is a measure of the strength of the mind. In that case, think of mental abilities that require a lot of willpower and concentration. Kind of like a psychic.

I was checking out some definitions for power and one was "possesion of control". I was thinking that it could go two ways: control over people (can easily persuade anyone to do things for them) or control over objects (like a telekinesis kinda thing).
If both are acceptable for the RP, I'll just pick one, but if there's one you prefer over the other that works too

Control over people...? As long as it's not mind control, I'm good with it. Telekinesis would have to be initially weak and grow stronger very slowly, but acceptable~

Age - 17
Role - The power of Azure
Personality - Kyrie is a quiet person, to say the least. It takes a while for her to open up to people, as she has some trust issues, but when she shows her full personality, she's not a bad person to be around. Kyrie also tends to be heavily sarcastic. Yet, she's still the kind of person that commands everyone's attention when she walks in the room and she secretly loves the attention, even if she doesn't look like it.
Appearance - Kyrie stands somewhere between 5'6" and 5'7" and has a slender body type. Her hair is a mass of orange curls which fall slightly past her shoulders. Her eyes are a stunning blue, which people often comment on. She has pale skin, with freckles on her arms and some on the bridge of her nose. Kyrie usually wears a yellow tanktop with black jeans and large combat boots. She loves to wear jewelery, though, and has various bracelets on either wrists, made of many materials. Sometimes, she also wears long necklaces with feathers or pendants.
Powers - Kyrie has always had the ability to move inanimate objects. She's not very good at it, and can only move light things, like pencils, empty water bottles or small coins, and even then, she can only move it a few inches.
History - To be RP'd.

I kind of want to join this... Yet I'm sceptical on whether or not I want to join... I like the storyline... Yet it confuses me slightly... And I can't even begin to think up a character...

Any advice from anyone on any of these issues?

Well... I kind of understand it... But I don't entirely...

So... I understand there was this god figure... And he made the three races type things...and then the angels and demons were at war... Then they looked for some kind of artifact which would let either side win? Then... This godly figure... Divided himself? I don't understand why really... And like... The humans are just kind of... There? With no purpose in them even being there other than setting more or less? I guess I just need a more thorough description maybe...

Hmm...Okay Shadow, let's see...

Well yeah, you're right about the humans just kinda being "there". All three races were created at the same time, however the shaeda and maloch had much more raw power and thus Azure relocated them to the sky. There are some humans who are more aware than others, but most of them don't know that Azure even exists. There are theories though, such as various cults and religions.

The artifact is, basically, what you described. It can tip the natural balance of things in the possessor's favor, like making the night longer or shorter, etc.

Azure divided himself because he didn't want to face the conflict himself, so it just kinda...happened. He may not have known himself that he would do that...

Yay, I love RPing with cool people multiple times *glomps Silver* Sorry, I thought SFP died, but by the time I got back into RPing.. I won't be able to catch up.

Aura, Silver, Cint, maybe Shadow, and that person with the epic avatar that I don't know... yeah, this is gonna be boss.

I'm working on my charry (her -unofficial- name so far is Amity, spoiler) but question: can I make it so maybe in her family, the shaeda's magical abilities skip a generation? I like the ignorant parent(s)-awesome grandparent(s) dynamic. If not.. that's okay..

It was my fault for not checking SFP enough. My charries weren't that key anyway. >< If you would've waited, who knows what would've happened. Seriously, I'm glad you didn't, cause then it might've died, and it would've been my fault. Well.. it IS my bad for not posting, like I said..

*Pops head in* Well, I've taken up too many Roleplays already. There's... what... Terra Incognita, Out of the Fire and Back In, then a few others... but maaa they were all so interesting, I couldn't pick just one or two!! Summer break is June 8th... if you start it that week (as in... sometime next weekend or later) I might be able to. Although, I do have one Final on June 7th, don't know the effect of that. So, yes, I guess I am in.

I am but I won't hop in until... 21st of June. Yes, the 21st, finals I presume. However I will keep track of the RP, and if I see a gap in my busy schedule, I'll drop a post every now and then, yet I won't interact with anyone (a matter of not keeping them annoyed with my inactivity) until I can fully concentrate back on Rp's.
