When I went to view my Daycare Offspring, I noticed there are two entries for the same Ditto and Pokii both with today's date (2017-02-07)
I don't understand why they're separated, it's the same Ditto and the same Pokii, and I've only had them in the Daycare today (well, they've been removed since I bred the one Novelty Egg I needed) These are the two Pokemon involved: This post has been edited by Alchemists Fire: Feb 8 2017, 06:19 PM -------------------- |

I guess eggs you breed are considered to have a mother and a father. A pair is a unique pair of pokemon that has produced eggs. This works as long as the parents aren't both genderless, because gender is used to determine which of the parents is the mother and father. As soon as you breed two genderless pokemon, which requires one of them to be a ditto, it would seem like you get a random choice of mother and father roles. The effect is that on the heritage page of eggs you will have the ditto and the other pokemon on different sides of the tree. Also the offspring page seems to use the same information to create two separate entries, because flipping the roles constitutes a new unique pair with how it is implemented.

Ah, okay.
Now I'm curious what the mechanism is that'd make them switch. I figured the code would just say "it'll be this way" and leave it the same as long as that particular pair is in there. -------------------- |
