Okay. Let's just say I have an Ipod with A LOT of space...and my field of music only ranges to what my friends tell me. Since I don't want to sit and listen to EVERY SINGLE song I can find by myself, I will love to hear your opinion. (You like them? I wanna hear them)
So..let's trim it down a little..I'm looking for: Rock. (Screamo, emo, heavy metal, etc.) Rock in different languages! Hey, I'm not picky. Who cares if I don't know what they are saying XD I will still sing along. Your favorite songs by whatever band. Now, you don't HAVE to, but it would help me get a general feel for what they play if I hear your favorites. Music videos? Hey, if they got 'em, they got 'em. BRING IT ON~! I may send you a PM with ALL MY LOVE if the band is JUST PLAN AWESOME~ -------------------- |

I listen to videogame music (mostly Pokemon) and Satanic death metal (mostly Yngwie Malmsteen). Quite the contrast, I'm aware.

Gackt is a really awesome J-rock artist. C:
L'Arc~En~Ciel is also a really good J-rock band. I also recommend the band Empires. Last time I checked, they are letting you download their album free from their website. Their sound is really unique. Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is a really good band too. *thinks* I'm a weirdo and I mostly listen to the soundtrack from Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- and opera. xD;; I have the weirdest taste in music ever. XD Anyway, I hope you like at least one of my recommendations. 8D -------------------- |

I'm listening to Sonata Arctica and Cain's Offering. Both are power metal bands (or so I think).

^ Agreeing with KoRn and Limp Bizkit up there.
More decent rock and metal bands are Dream Theater (Not all of their stuff is 'rock', some can even fit into jazz and other random genres. Their songs are epic though.) Dragonforce (Please don't judge me. I liked them before Guitar Hero happened.) Drist Avenged Sevenfold Alestorm (Metal band that has a pirate theme? Heck yes!) -------------------- |

I second the Emilie Autumn recommendation.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc3lqFySOAc Another band I love is Schoolyard Heroes. They really deserve more attention. ): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWUuFMhiG04 And my final recommendation is Sondre Lerche. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGHUyJSUmaw And since it seems that people are also suggesting video game soundtracks, these games have epic music: Super Smash Bros. Brawl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyoR-Pg6o0c Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82RWZjmmXBc Saya no Uta http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SAqDpg4-BA Etrian Odyssey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFctacTsLMw This post has been edited by Umbee: Oct 9 2009, 09:06 PM -------------------- |

Pop. Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, some hip-hop songs by Beastie Boys, David Guetta, Cascada, Redroche... anything catchy, you're able to dance to, etc. etc.
Somewhat crappier pop (argue with me here, if you wish) like Cobra Starship, 3OH!3 (they should have never gone mainstream), The... was it Two or Twin? Cities... I think it's Two, Faber Drive (their old album was shit, new album is better and pop-y). And of course, Britney Spears. How can you not love her, like seriously. |

Some bands that I like, and some good songs by 'em...
Fall Out Boy - I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy..., The Carpal Tunnel of Love, Fame < Infamy, Chicago Is So Two Years Ago Panic! At The Disco - Lying Is The Most Fun..., But It's Better If You Do, Nails For Breakfast Tacks For Snacks, New Perspective The Cab - Bounce, One Of Those Nights, High Hopes In Velvet Ropes, I Am Who I Am Cobra Starship - It's Warmer In The Basement, Pop-Punk Is Sooooo '05, The Church of Hot Addiction Hey Monday - Homecoming, Candles, Arizona As for the person who said 'somewhat crappier pop' as regards to Cobra Starship, try listening to their older stuff, before they started going mainstream. It was so much better... =[ Oh well. I still <3 'em. -------------------- |
