Hey! Here's a simple (maybe too simple) guide to Mass-
Mass-Clicking on Chrome (V1.1) Oza-Style Now Updated with Hotkeys! What you'll need: Google Chrome (any recent version should work, though I've only tried with the latest) SmoothGestures Extension Note: SmoothGestures may actually slow you down if you're using hotkeys instead of clicking. In that case you might just want to use Ctrl+Tab SmoothGestures Settings: To get to the SmoothGestures Settings, either right-click on the SmoothGestures Icon and click Options, or open the Extension Manager(Through Chrome's Tools Button) and click Options under 'SmoothGestures'. Mainly two settings you'll need for mass-clicking, others can be put to suit your needs:
Alternative 1: The Clicking: First go to Settings and make sure you have 'Close Pokémon windows after interactions, or if you may not interact' set as 'Yes' Now, go to your Interactions Tab or Online List, and CTRL+CLICK "Go".
Now you just keep pressing your 'Next Tab' shortcut key while clicking with your mouse! Alternative 2: The Button-Mashing: Do everything above, but this time go under 'Hotkeys' in the Setting tab as well, and set the interaction keys to whatever you're comfortable with. TIP (click to show ) Now when you've opened your tabs, you can just alternate between your shortcut keys for Next Tab and Click, or keep Ctrl pressed and alternate between the Tab key and your Click shortcut, whichever you prefer. And that's it! Simple, huh? Please feel free to give comments and suggestions. If anyone knows an extension or way to turn off image loading, please tell me, I'll add it here! Do you recommend using CTRL+W to close tabs as you go? I do; It seems to work well.

@Yuniko- There's already a link where its first mentioned.
@Traversse - No, I recommend making your settings 'Yes' under 'Close Pokémon windows after interactions, or if you may not interact'. I better add that to the guide. -------------------- My Guide to Mass-Clicking on Chrome!

I had the "Close after interactions" setting on for a while, but I still feel CTRL+W is quicker. You can close the tab as soon as the "please wait" icon appears. If memory serves, it waits until after that to close the tab using the automated setting.

You don't even need to do this XD I open up 100 tabs, click through and when the last tab loads, I go back to the first tab, right click and select 'close all other tabs/close all tabs to right' ^.^ well, thats what I do. Faster or no, it's easier ^.^'' -------------------- |

Probably coz my computers a bit slow and takes time to get me to the first tab :P -------------------- My Guide to Mass-Clicking on Chrome!

I hope to make use of this since Opera's timeouts pissed me off.

I'll have to try this on my slower computer. I use Chrome on it.
But when I mass-click, I try to use my BF's 8gig ram computer. B) Edit; Even with this slow E-Machine, I'm able to click better on Opera. Granted, I like this extension for chrome because that Ctrl+Tab+Click annoyed me. I didn't even think to set keyboard shortcuts to switch tabs. I will take this bit of information, and apply it to my Mac computer. While I hope this guide helps other people, I still won't click with chrome. Good luck and happy clicking. =) This post has been edited by Kathie: Nov 6 2010, 08:31 PM -------------------- |

hmm works terribly for me when it's loading it seems to freeze for a bit than when im clicking it goes horrendously slow in between switching tabs. It might be because I had a lot of programs running in the background but opera works fine with a lot of stuff in the background. Rather unfortunate since I like chrome.

Decent guide. c: I don't like chrome as much as opera when it comes to clicking, but when my internet connection sucks Chrome is all I can use for more than six tabs, so thanks!

That is a good idea... I was using the default shortcut instead of my own, and I found it a pain in the backside.

Thanks everyone!
@G1zStar - Too many tabs can do this. Sometimes 50 tabs at a time is much faster than 100 or even 75. Anyways, updated the guide to include Hotkeys, which makes it all ludicrously easier. And I've added a poll so I know whether it's even worth keeping some stuff or not. Hope you all vote in it! -------------------- My Guide to Mass-Clicking on Chrome!

If you find that you prefer Ctrl+Tab to a button with SmoothGestures, I would advise setting them to 'Hold Ctrl' , it'll make life much easier. But make sure you don't set the number keys as your Interaction shortcut keys, cause Chrome has Ctrl+number keys as its shortcut for going to specific tabs. That doesn't seem to be working for me. I set the keys to [ ] \ ; ' and 'hold CTRL', but nothing happens when I hold CTRL and press one of those keys. It also seems to have broken the 'close tab after interaction' feature. ? I'll submit it to the bug thread, too, just in case. -------------------- |
