Muse is an English rock band. Their band consists of Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, guitars, piano, keyboards, keytar), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals, keyboards, guitars, harmonica) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion, synthesisers, backing vocals, sampling). Some of their popular songs include Uprising, Supermassive Black Hole, Map of the Problematique, Knights of Cydonia, etc.

Not a big Muse fan, but I love Uprising and Supermassive Black Hole. Memorized the lyrics to both =D

I did ^__^ Basically, I think this critique made by one of my facebook friends sums it up:

"I respect him for attempting to cover a song by Muse, but he definitely lacks the exceptional lung capacity that Matt has. It was irritating when he couldn't hit some of the highest notes and attempted to scream them instead, and he looked like he wanted to be Alice Cooper. The song has passion in it, but he tried to capture the wrong kind. That is my critique of the day."

I thought he gave it the ol' college try, but it's really hard to sing a Muse song and not sound...bad. I'd give him a 6-7/10 though-- I thought the choreography was okay.

City of Delusion.

It's practically an eargasm, so many things to listen to all at once. And that trumpet, unf.

But yes, I do enjoy them. Aside from already mentioned songs (Map of the Problematique, Supermassive Black Hole), I'm also fond of Unnatural Selection, Time is Running Out, Thoughts of a Dying Atheist, Sunburn, Butterflies and Hurricanes, and.. well, obviously City of Delusion.

The Gentlemen.

Muse are perhaps my favorite rock band this side of 1990. It's very rare these days that you get a quality group such as this, with all the great qualities of the older ones; a willingness to experiment, remotely complex tunes, and most importantly, a decent bassist and drummer. I hate it when bands put all of their effort onto the frontman.

I've only been through one of their albums (Black Holes & Revelations), as well as a bunch of songs I've heard all over the place, but I'd have to say my favorites are Invincible, Hysteria and Plug In Baby. Invincible is pretty much my favorite song from this century, especially the drums and bass near the end.

Correction, second favorite, but that's still pretty good.

Really, my only problem with Muse is the subject matter of their lyrics, which seems kind of unnecessarily political at times, but it doesn't bother me much.

Time Is Running Out, Uprising, and Starlight are my favorite songs of theirs. Honestly haven't taken the time to check out their other songs though yet. Got into them about.... six or seven years ago, about the same time as The Rasmus. Friend introduced me to both.

Hmm, maybe I should 'legally purchase and download' their entire albums and catch up on their stuff. ninja.gif

Or you could just go on Grooveshark and listen first and see what else you might like.

Muse <3 I love them! To be honest I still haven't heard too much of their stuff, but they're absolutely amazing from what I've heard!

My favorite songs would have to be Citizen Erased, Uprising, Resistance, and Time is Running Out. For some reason, though, I don't really like Supermassive Black Hole. I dunno, the sound of it just annoys me...
