Anime's then and now, Do you sometimes choose to watch older Animes over newer ones? |

This topic came to mind because recently I have found myself trying to watch older animes like animes that were aired back in the 1970's - 1990's. So I was wondering if when you guys watch animes or try to find a anime to watch which do you usually prefer to watch?
For me it really depends on the anime but I have noticed at least for my own personal opinion that some older animes seem to have good solid plots and storylines, but when I watch a anime with the same kind of genre like within the last 5 years or so some lack that solid storyline. I know that older animes you can't always get good quality but there are a few animes that i have seen that were uploaded in pretty good quality. The main type of old anime I seem to watch is the old Mecha animes. Like: Brave Series - which is a series so of like Transformers but it has its completely different storyline and plots stuff like that. Zillion - another mecha like anime its storyline is interesting and so are the characters. I have seen a few other mecha's which have turned out to be pretty good but I have had to stop watching the series like halfway through because either not all of it is online or episodes aren't available. Some newer animes i have tried to watch are like: Galaxy Railways - this anime I just got done watching this anime like a few days ago, it was awesome, it has been awhile since I saw a anime that made a few tears come to my eye. There is a season 2 but I'm holding off on watching it because I have found all the episodes except for the first episode and the last episode of the season. If anyone is looking for a anime to watch, I suggest this one, its pretty good. I have watched a few others like another anime that was like detective conan but its about a high school detective that doesn't turn into a little kid, but tends to have two sides a goofy clumsy side and that series and smart side that he uses to solve the mysteries, I believe the anime is called Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo and I also watched a anime called Ghost Hunt.
