I joined the GPX this week, after watching my two friends play for all the months I've known them, and hearing them talk about it a lot. I am having lots of fun already! They've helped me get set up, and explained shiny hunts and things and I decided to join in because it seems pretty awesome and cool goals to try and reach.
I decided to aim for a shiny staryu, so picked up a staryu egg to get it in my pokedex so I could actually join in..... And I hatched it......... And it was a shiny. U_____u Oops. Oh shiny staryu, you were a little too ahead of the game. Oh well, I love them anyway, my very first shiny Pokemon on here, my awkward little starfish !! |

It's great to hear that you got a random shiny Staryu. Speaking of random shinies, this also happened to some other users like me. The only random shiny Pokémon that I got was a shiny Pidgey on 3rd January 2010. Well, I would be happy if I get another random shiny Pokémon but I'm not sure if this will ever happen
 .
