Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ Games _ Item to erect a temporary pokestop!

Getting a Mareep is pointless now in Pokemon Go. We already had a community day. I'm sorry but even Slakoth has more value purely because it doesn't have a community day left. Sure people can argue Beldum needs to go because it had a community day but since Mareep had one first it makes sense it leaves before Beldum does. Also shiny Beldum is still cool looking to get even if it can't learn Meteor Mash. -link removed-

Wouldn't that be cool?

I just moved to Vietnam, and even in a big city like Ho Chi Min there are hardly any pokestops around. I think an item to erect a temporary pokestops for a day or two would be pretty awesome, it would definitely boost my playtime on the game.

Could be in the style of a care package/zeppelin floating above a location with a timer, or could look like a homemade shabby pokestops out of planks and things.

Just an idea cat.gif

The main benefit of high friendship levels, as it happens, is increased raid damage, raid balls (and consequently item rewards since you get one bundle per ball awarded). However, this can only be enjoyed if you make friends with people you will raid with regularly, and cultivate this relationship for a few months.

The most obvious beneficiaries of this mechanic are regular "hardcore" raiders, who have their own dedicated 20-man raid groups to spend the weekends with. They know who the other 19 (and a few other in-case-of-emergency substitutes) are and so who to focus their gifting on. As with all MMORPGs since the dawn of this genre, however, they make up a minority of gamers with access to raid content. Most of us are casuals, don't live near enough people willing to give such a level of weekly commitment, or just aren't extroverted enough. We can only fight in pugs (pick-up groups, in MMORPG terminology).

For those of us who belong to the latter demographic, where do we usually raid? Most of us would raid near where we frequent in our daily routine: school, work, home, favourite hangouts, and the transit routes in between. Odds are, the people we happen to raid with at these places have a high likelihood of being in the same raid as you in the future too - this gym is probably in a place they frequent as well. Therefore, for those of us with no fixed raid parties, who's the best people to make friends with in order to benefit from friend bonuses, and how are we to find them?

Hence, my suggestion.
