Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ News and Updates _ New server, domain, and forum restructuring

Posted by: Zerxer Sep 11 2015, 03:34 AM

We're back! Sorry for how long it took.

We've officially moved off of our dedicated server and onto a different solution.

We've also decided to officially change our domain name to one we've recently acquired (due to the TLD recently coming out): gpx.plus! It's shorter and just looks that much nicer, we think.

It was mentioned a month or two ago that we'd also be dropping everything relating to GTSPlus.net itself and we've now done that. This was separate from GPX+, and is something we created way back in 2007. Since that was dropped, the forums now live on the new gpx.plus domain as well, and the top of the forum has changed to remove the links to GTSPlus's sections.

Finally, we've restructured the forum itself a bit. Since the forums are now primarily for GPX+, we've moved all of the GPX+ forums out of that separate category and into the main "Site and Forums" category at the top. This means we've merged the forum "News and Updates" with the "GPX+ Updates" forum, as well as some others such as Bugs, Questions, and Suggestions.

We've also merged all of the separate Pokémon Game forums, further down in the board listing, into one "Games" forum. Other changes may be noticed as well; hopefully this doesn't confuse anyone! happy.gif

Please note that since moving servers is a rather big change, it's possible you may notice some bugs (certain features not working right, extra lag, etc). We hope to clear these up over the forum as they arise.

Thanks for your patience!

Old links originating from gpxplus.net, forums.gtsplus.net, gpxpl.us, and any others I'm forgetting will continue to work (they will automatically redirect to the new domain).

The old domains will take up to a day for their DNS to update for everyone. The new domain is http://gpx.plus/

so, what's the new site domain called? the old gpxplus.net doesn't redirect me sad.gif

So the old gpxplus.net link doesn't work anymore? Or it'll just take a day for it to start working?

also uhhhh my rank = 0? confused.gif

Posted by: Essieh Sep 11 2015, 04:30 AM

I also only just noticed someone has rank 0. Took a while for me to realize it wasn't just that one user.

Posted by: Luneon Sep 11 2015, 04:38 AM

Nice to see that it all went well

I'm glad you done it overnight, I didn't notice a thing of it xD
The new name will take a while to get used to but it'll prolly be just fine in a lil while.

Thanks for the update!

Posted by: LadyMiir Sep 11 2015, 04:50 AM

Glad the server update went smoothly! happy.gif Now to poke around and continue levelling my mons for the badge achievements.

Posted by: Painting Sep 11 2015, 04:59 AM

I reallyLOVe this new URL, makes things a lot easier, and I'm sure this benefits in many other ways too.

I know there are a lot of bugs, but I just wanted to point out that on the mobile site, there is no access to the "Index" page whatsoever. It always says "Access Denied" or "An error occurred."

Posted by: Cycloneblaze Sep 11 2015, 05:18 AM

I like this. The new domain is nice, but making these the GPX+ forums is something I've wanted, and which was needed, for years.

Now you just need to update all the forum graphics and code to be right in line with the main site! wink.gif

e: The forum footer is very out of date now. I just noticed.

I'm also at rank 0 - also I hatched a Diance egg in under 24 hours and didn't get any progress towards the achievement - minor, but I'm wondering if it's only this achievement...

Posted by: LadyMiir Sep 11 2015, 06:32 AM

Oh, uh, I have a problem. I summoned a Shaymin egg and I can see it in the lab but whenever I try to click on it, I get the "Invalid Data Submitted" error and can't pick up the egg. Could someone help me, please? Thanks!

Posted by: Vande Sep 11 2015, 06:32 AM

Index doesn't work on mobile. Seems that daycare doesn't either

It also seems to be all summons. I just tried to snag a latios egg and got the error message as above

Posted by: SagaDavid Sep 11 2015, 06:43 AM

Well done!
Nice new URL. With the added benefit that logging in on the site, logs you in on the forum automatically (nice!)

Good luck fixing the remaining issues! I see that daycare and mobile were mentioned already. Luckily I haven't encountered any other problems so far.

Posted by: Psychai Sep 11 2015, 07:22 AM

I just picked up a manaphy egg from the lab. Not really sure if that's a bug or not.

That shouldn't be a bug. Manaphy eggs are very, very, very rare, but from my experience, only available in the Lab (unless, I suppose, we can summon them with the right prize voucher?). That's a great find, Psychai!

Love the new locale, GPX! Congrats on the successful transfer! I can't imagine how long you must've stayed up last night completing it and then watching over it for a spell. Kudos and many thanks!

I just have to save the new domain as a favorites in Chrome now on both my machines so that things will flow smoothly. I haven't had much time on the site (yet) but I haven't noticed anything thus far. My daycare couple kept their 15 eggs from the other day so that went well.

PS: The ranks though. I just noticed. Mine is a 0. Are we all starting from scratch now that we're on this new server or is that one of the bugs? No biggie, but I have been working hard and, since my return x months or so ago (has it really been years now?), I've clicked a lot to go from 1,000 something to 460 something.

My number of total interactions and eggs hatched seems to have carried over with no problem though.

Manaphy eggs are normally obtained when a little egg icon appears in the header (next to your party count). I didn't know you could get them from the lab, but I wouldn't guess that that's a bug.

What I think is a bug is the rankings. I'm fairly sure we're all at 0 for the time being :p

Posted by: Big Bidoof Sep 11 2015, 08:20 AM

Yup, the rankings issue is a bug, yup yup.

Posted by: Lalli Sep 11 2015, 09:03 AM

Is there a thread forum yet for bugs? I've noticed a lot of my settings on the users page have been reset. The berry feeder doesn't take me back to the Users page after feeding, it just stays on the page saying "You will now be taken back to the Users List." I might stay off the site for a while while the issues are being fixed.

The issue has fixed in my ten-minute break to complain! That's actually amazing. No other complaints from me about the move. yourmove.gif

It doesn't appear to work for mobile, I keep getting a "thanks for choosing nginx" page...

I think this is that thread...
That bug wasn't to do with the migration, though; it used to happen before as well.

It's really nice to not be logged out from one each time I log into the other! That was probably my biggest annoyance before, as small as it may seem.

Second person in this thread, oh no! ): Once Nick and Jeff wake up and sort that out, we'll make sure you get an egg.

For now, since I am assuming both of them are asleep, can everyone... not go onto the egg-rewarding task in an exploration? Not that that'll cure the problem, but two people is easier to keep track of than twenty. Thanks guys! We appreciate your patience.

When I try to logout out of gpxplus it just refreshes the page, I've tried with 2 different computers and I got the same result.

8/8 m8 on the new domain name. Glad I haven't noticed any lag or anything odd today either.

Looks like I got the opposite issue xD works on mobile, aside from the index page, but my desktop takes me to the nginx page. Perhaps another computer will work, otherwise it looks like I'll just have to wait until tomorrow.

Posted by: Sportsfan666 Sep 11 2015, 11:47 AM

Glad the server migrated without any major issues. I had a bit of lag earlier (and a site timeout), but it seems to be fixed now. I flushed my dns cache and the site started redirecting correctly. Not sure if what I did actually caused that or not, but it might be an option if anyone is having issues.

Posted by: Vande Sep 11 2015, 12:08 PM

Site and forum links posted on social media don't work. 404 for forum link and welcome to nginx for the site sigh.

Posted by: Love Sep 11 2015, 12:15 PM

I don't seem to be getting any views from the new party image link yet.

Posted by: Shaoo Sep 11 2015, 12:19 PM

I was on the chat when a user who can't access the forum nor the main site say this:

QUOTE
Kaito: it just stay on log on page and gives a were back link that takes me to a 404 page
Kaito: that forum site doesn't work for me either
Kaito : same deal
Kaito: , tho does let me log on it but stays at log on page
Kaito: fire fox, chrome, and dragon ice tried on all 3

So I prefer to mention it here for him, since he can't do it.

This is actually the user Teen Bulma http://gpx.plus/user/Teen+Bulma So I'm logged in on my Bf's account because I'm having trouble with mine. I couldn't remember my password at 4AM when the site updated and it didn't have it saved since it was the new site so I tried all my variations to no avail. I went and changed my password and now I can't get in the forums or the site with the new password I registered. I keep trying thinking it'll eventually fix itself but I'm starting to panic because maybe I broke it? Obviously I don't want to try to change it again if something is def wrong. Hopefully we can get this sorted out sad.gif

There were 12 people who completed an exploration after the server migration last night who didn't get their egg; if you were one of them, you should have your egg now!

I will see about reimbursing other missing eggs from item usage, but I cannot promise those will be as easy to return as the exploration eggs were.

Woo! Lovin' the shorter URL. Admittedly, at first I was a bit confused because of the change, but good to know nothing bad happened!

Update: The problem that was here back when I posted this has been solved! It's... been solved for awhile, actually. The inactive image link made me come back and edit this post to prevent any confusion.

The Index Doesn't seem to be working on a mobile so I am unable to switch to the main site

Posted by: Xuimin Sep 11 2015, 01:32 PM

My dad tried to log onto his account today and although when I go to my friends list his name Talrio is still there and I can access his page however whenever he tries to log on it tells him he is trying an incorrect email and password, he's tried the forgot my password link and when he puts his email in it says no such email exists.

Since his account is still accessible I am going to assume this is an issue with the server change and not that his account is gone/removed so any help on this would be appreciated.

Posted by: Thaliel Sep 11 2015, 01:36 PM

welcome GPX+ to its new neighbourhood, thank you @all those invilved for doing such hard work

Posted by: ChibiNinja Sep 11 2015, 01:38 PM

I'm really glad that that I no longer have to keep logging in separately for the main site and the forums. Before, logging into one would log me out of the other.

However, I am having some serious problems on the main site now. I can't seem to do much - none of the side options open, when I go to 'trinkets' it goes to the page but doesn't load anything, going to the shelter loads about 4/5ths of the side image but nothing else for it and the tabs don't work, the PC loads all the images but I can't actually click on any of the icons, the explore page doesn't load any explorations, the battle section loads okay but I can't click on any tabs, the users page loads the interface but no actual users and I can't click any options, ditto for the pokedex, the shop loads only the tabs up top but not the actual shop and the tabs cannot be clicked, the stats page loads but I can't select the options/filters, nothing in particular on the main page section - like the journal or party options - can be clicked. While everything loads in the lab, much like the PC and main page nothing will react to being clicked on...not too sure how to cram all that into a bug report.

The help section seems to work fine. The forums are working just fine for me.

Posted by: Zerxer Sep 11 2015, 01:53 PM

I fixed some things on the main site with regards to logging in and out, so if you were previously having issues with one of those two things, try now!

Posted by: Kijame Sep 11 2015, 02:14 PM

Sorry if you're noticing anything odd in my IP, but for some reason from home I only see that weird nginx message that people have been posting about on facebook for hours now. At work it was fine. I finally lost my patience after 5 hours and started using the Tor Browser since I wasn't sure if maybe the issue is my ISP or location and not you, or something. Still I hope it'll work fine on my good old chrome with my home IP soon. Until then I'll be using Tor I guess. noes.gif

EDIT
Though I just realized that this browser may not support geolocation. Which is kind of the point but it sucks not being able to use my walker until it works in chrome again ;w;

EDIT2
And it appears the Pokemon Icons in my PC aren't loading. Whoops XD Not sure if this is browser or migration dependent. I still see what I'm hovering over in the info box, at least. Good thing I memorized, for the most part, what's where XD

EDIT3
Restarted my Tor session because I got a 404 for this thread and then the nginx message instead. Yet another irregular IP for me, sorry. noes.gif
But I oughta keep stalking this thread to find out if anything's been found out and to that end I need to be able to see it. :/

EDIT4
Seems like I get 404s roughly every half hour and then have to restart my session (resulting in new IPs each time). Looks like it'll be a fun night trying to hatch my eggs and use the Seeker noes.gif Oh and stalking this thread for updates.

Posted by: demonicvampiregirl Sep 11 2015, 03:31 PM

Hopefully mine redirects soon! Glad to see this is over and done with now. happy.gif

Curiosity question. Does this mean it's ok for us to complete explorations again or would you rather we hold off on that until you give the "all clear"? Or, was that post the all clear? *blush*

Yes, we are aware of that. There are still some issues to be worked out.

less than 5 hours till reset and I still have 13 unused shelter grabs ):
I'm just glad today wasn't a multiplier day... but looks like Aurora is coming in. And SWSH is also coming up soon noes.gif

I'm wondering though if nginx issue this only affects European IPs (those are the only kind I've been using as far as I can tell). Don't know if that helps nail down the issue at all... I'm sure you guys know what you're doing. It's 1am and I should be sleeping, not feeling frustrated...

Here's to hoping tomorrow/today things will be running again. I suppose I'll just go to bed for now. Good luck in trying to find out what's wrong!

Posted by: Zynn Sep 11 2015, 06:33 PM

*waves hello*

I seem to be having some of the issues mentioned earlier as well. I haven't been able to switch the main site since the server migration. I can only access the Mobile Site. It's fine for most things, but I haven't been able to withdraw my Pokehunt Entry from yesterday, nor am I able to Unlock pokemon. It hasn't become a problem yet, but I'm worried that I might end up party-locked, because I cannot access my settings (I have it set to lock a pokemon with over 140 IVs). With the SWSH coming up, I'm getting a bit nervous.....

I can't access the Index page on the mobile site at all, so I'm not even sure what the weather is, or if there is a multiplier. My Daycare couple is only laying 5 eggs, though, so I'm guessing there isn't any multipliers going on.

Also, I cannot view other users' parties or profiles. If I try, it just takes me back to the mobile site, and drops me on whatever page I was just on.

Should I just nail my feet to the floor to keep from figeting? I do have a tendency to worry about things I don't need to. lol facepalm.gif

.... and.... I just realized that spellcheck is not working for me on the forums, either. I'm so used to seeing half of my post outlined in red before I post.... How odd.

Are they still busted for you? They display fine on mobile (in my case at least) if you're able to access it that way.

It seems I forgot to set the timezone on the new server, so it was set to UTC by default (where midnight just passed). There'll be another reset at the normal time in just over 3 hours now, and then from there everything will work properly, yup yup.

So would the sever be a day ahead or would it be along the lines of this reset never happened (the one at 7:55 pm server time)?

I was coming in here to ask why I just found my statistics for today having dropped to zero when it isn't supposed to be reset yet and I know for sure that I got interactions and bought stuff, but I see it's been explained. :P

Posted by: Zynn Sep 11 2015, 09:39 PM

Another pair of quick questions:

1) After the glitches are resolved, will there be a way to log out of the forums with*out* logging out of the Main site or Mobile site? I know others like it, but I'm finding it rather frustrating myself...

2) Currently I can't seem to log in as Invisible, on either forums or game. Is this a glitch also, or was that feature removed?

I like to lurk, so I sure hope this feature will still be available. sad.gif

Posted by: Aragarthiel Sep 11 2015, 11:29 PM

I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not but I seem to be getting WAAAAAY more Pokechests than I used to. I'm finding them almost every time I make a round through the Berry Feeder now.

So, it's 1:30 AM Eastern and the site is still up. Does the server move mean there won't be additional downtime after reset anymore? Or is this just a temporary thing? Or is the downtime happening later now?

Posted by: Lord Raven Sep 12 2015, 12:47 AM

There's still going to be backup, but we dont know the specifics (ie, time it happens and whatever).

Posted by: DarkMoonKnight Sep 12 2015, 01:24 AM

EDIT: I can use the mobile site but can't access any of it on my laptop. Though the index page on mobile doesn't want to come up. Is there something I'm missing to access the site on a computer?

Is the no egg explo bug still happening? Just reached the end of one and wondering if I should wait to complete it.

The backup's scheduled for a couple hours later right now, and it's a totally different process... so as far as I can tell, it shouldn't impede using the site.

Yes, we are aware of that. There are still some issues to be worked out.

Alright, was just wondering, because my computer's been acting very weird lately on some websites, so just wanted to make sure if it was an error or if my computer was trolling me again. horrified.gif
So, thanks for letting me know. happy.gif

Posted by: Soren Pixels Sep 12 2015, 07:30 AM

I have no idea if it's been mentioned yet, but since GTS+ is no longer used, shouldn't we update the forum Headers to reflect that? like have them say GPX+ Forums or something?

Posted by: Wastelander Sep 12 2015, 09:19 AM

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the reason the headers haven't been changed is that they mightn't have the original .psd files for said headers lying around, and so they can't change the text without remaking the image itself. Bear in mind that some of these skins are older than GPX+ itself.

Yeah, especially when the proxy eventually shows the nginx message too noes.gif

Another site I'm on also uses nginx but I've never had it be an issue aside from the occasional bad gateway error noes.gif

I dunno what could be causing that, except that you're somehow opening a list you've already opened. Try setting the users list to 'ordered randomly'. If that doesn't work, you should make a separate thread for this issue.

Posted by: ChibiNinja Sep 12 2015, 12:48 PM

So...any update on the stuff I mentioned before? The entire main site is still basically unusable for me. I can see it, but it taunts me - I can't actually DO anything!

Soon I'll be out of functioning proxies, sooner or later the evil nginx 404 eats them all up noes.gif I've gone through a bunch the last day or two. But sadly I can't think of anything to help either. Normally no news is good news but I'm getting really anxious about this.

Well I can access both the forums and the main site form the desktop now. I was able to do this by going to the properties of my network connection and unchecking the option for Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and then clearing ALL of my browsing data in Chrome since it is the one I use. Once that was done I retyped the new site address and it showed up properly. (Note: Re-enabling the IPv6 setting on the connection properties and trying to access the site again caused the message to show up again until I disabled it and cleared the browser once more.)

I decided to try this because a quick peak at the entry for gpx.plus in my dns showed that it was the only connection that had two separate entries, one for IPv6 (AAAA Record) and one for IPv4.

Your solution made me wonder if I just needed to clear my cache and such. I did so, and cleared cookies and all of that, and I'm no longer getting the nginx.com redirect. I still can't access my Index or the Main site, though.

I actually have the opposite problem! I can view the site on my laptop, and with my phone when I'm on my house wireless network, but as soon as I turn off the wireless connection on the phone and switch to the 3g network, it won't load at all.

And the index page still is not working. Which is annoying because I tend to only get exploration items when visiting the index page on the mobile site.

I'm not sure if this is a server issue or what but none of the eggs I've hatched for the SWSH have registered in my shine recorder. I started collecting after the reset yesterday.

I'm waiting to see if any eggs I pick up today will count but this is kind of a big bummer since I hatched 18 Duskulls yesterday but I still can't take advantage of the Honey+ bonus today ;-;

Update: Just hatched my first egg that I picked up today and it counted towards my shiny hunt. Now I'm just confused, was it fixed but all my eggs from yesterday didn't count? Or did it not actually start until today?

This is how I managed it:
From the Start menu, type in IPv6, change the option above the search bar from "Everywhere" to "Settings," then click "View network connections." Click the connection you're using, then at the bottom it'll say "Properties," likely with the little administrator shield thingy next to it. Under "Networking," scroll down and you'll see Internet Protocol Version 6, uncheck that box and make sure Internet Protocol Version 4 is checked.

If anything's unclear, let me know and I can PM you screenshots to help.

Thank you for the advice, but I would rather have access to the improved address functionality and security features of IPv6. Hopefully this issue will be fixed soon. This isn't really a fix. Apparently the new server is not adequately set up to handle the latest form of ip addresses and security?

Posted by: ChibiNinja Sep 13 2015, 02:01 PM

I would also like to note that in addition to being more of a 'band-aid' and not a 'fix', this method doesn't the problems other than repeated log-out or that nginx error thing.

The desktop is still completely unusable for me - aside from the forums, obviously - and besides the fact the there's a lot you can't do on the mobile version, I don't have a practical way of accessing the mobile version.

Posted by: Zerxer Sep 13 2015, 06:52 PM

We've modified our DNS zone which should clear up the IPv6 issue mentioned earlier, however it may take some time for the updated DNS to propagate to your individual networks/computers.

If you followed the earlier advice of disabling IPv6 on your computer, we recommend you follow the steps you took and re-enable it within the next 48 hours to be on the safe side, since it shouldn't cause issues with our site going forward.

Simply put: if you're currently experiencing the "nginx" splash page, this should hopefully clear up automatically for you soon.

Everything should go back to running how it used to. We still have to fix the mobile site's index, though.

Posted by: Cycloneblaze Sep 13 2015, 07:12 PM

Thanks for that, Zerx. There is still a few other things wrong around the place (most notably the Notifier), but I'm sure I don't need to tell you about any of them. tongue.gif

Posted by: Champion Garrett Sep 13 2015, 07:15 PM

As of today, the mobile site minus the index works fine on Google Chrome, but on Safari it's stuck at the login page. And the login box doesn't show up; just a blank page with GPXPlus Mobile's header.

Posted by: Zynn Sep 13 2015, 07:18 PM

Thanks for all the work you've done for us. happy.gif

I just have another question: Until the Index page is fixed, would there possibly be another way to access the main site from a mobile device? I'm currently using an iPad, with either Google Chrome or Safari, and each time I try to access the Main site it automatically redirects to the Mobile site.

If not, I understand. What worries me mostly is that I can't unlock pokemon from my party. For example, I hatched a Sh. Misdreavus for the SWSH, and I can't move her anywhere yet. I also have my settings adjust to lock in anything with over 140 IVs, which means that eventually I could be party locked. sad.gif

Sorry to fuss so much. I really do appreciate everything done to help. This game has become rather addicting, which shows how well you've all done. happy.gif Thank you again in advance!

Just to ask this:
Should one not have a computer to login with, the mobile site keeps denying access. I've tried a few days now to log on to my GPX account, only to be shut out with "an error has occurred" messages. I've tried to go directly to the regular account site, yet it redirects straight to the mobile page, which ends in error.

Is there something still being updated on the servers that prevents a mobile login on a phone or such device? Or is there some trick that I'm missing? I would appreciate anything.

I just did a test on my iPhone and was able to log in. When I visited gpx.plus on my phone, it presented the login form. I logged in, and it wound up displaying the login form again, however I was actually logged in. You can verify this by tapping the top-left icon and switching pages (don't choose the "Index" right now since that page is temporarily broken).

To access the full site instead, visit this full URL directly: http://gpx.plus/mob/1 -- you can then log in from here, if you are not already.

If you are hit with an error message as soon as you try to load the mobile site on your phone, it's possible you're already logged in and are just hitting the "Index" page which is broken. Instead, try going directly to another page, such as: http://m.gpx.plus/#lab

I did not receive an error message while logging in, so I hope that helps.

Also tested enabling IPv6 again and it worked. happy.gif

So I'm now on a train (not on wifi). My phone is displaying the non mobile site, but egg images in the shelter arent loading (grrr. Need to grab more shuppet eggs). The mobile site is giving me the welcome to nginx error.

Posted by: Genocider Syo Sep 14 2015, 11:32 AM

I've re-enabled IPv6 and it seems to be working well.

Posted by: Lilium Alice Sep 14 2015, 11:57 AM

It's working for me with IPv6 enabled again as well.

I still can't do anything on the main site, despite logging in. I still haven't seen anything relevant while prowling all new posts in this thread, so I'll say it again:

I can log in and look at the site, but nothing really works. I am NOT on mobile. I am NOT having the nginx problem. I can go to pc or shelter or battles, etc., but I can't actually DO anything there. I'm bad enough at the SWSH without this...

In addition, I've notice that while the forum mostly works, the buttons like 'toggle side panel' and 'bb code help' do not. I think I had a side panel the day before yesterday, but no longer do.

It sounds to me like javascript is disabled for you for some reason. Make sure javascript is enabled in your browser settings.

In addition to this, be sure your browser is up to date. Try clearing your entire browser cache, or try another browser to see if the problem persists.

If you use an extension that disables JavaScript on websites (such as NoScript), be sure the new domain name is whitelisted.

Also chiming in to say that enabling the ipv6 again hasn't caused the nginx/404 to return.

Posted by: ChibiNinja Sep 14 2015, 06:07 PM

Turns out my scriptblocker decided to block the site and I somehow hadn't noticed, thanks for the help. Now, for the harrowing job of finding Shuppet eggs...

Posted by: Shauntal Sep 14 2015, 08:49 PM

Welp. That took me 3 days to figure out how to get to the site again lol.

Posted by: Sandwhisper Sep 15 2015, 02:55 PM

I still get the Welcome to Nginx page on desktop as well. I use Chrome, live in the US (so it's not just European IPs like someone pondered earlier)... cleared my cookies and have IvP6 enabled and all that fancy stuff. I also get the same issue on Mobile.

I'll give a shot on other browsers. Otherwise good luck at figuring out this issue!

Edit: I was able to open the site on Mobile using the full-site link posted earlier in the thread, so that does work, but I'm going to wait to mess with it till everything works again.

That did the trick. I'm gonna re-enable it in a few minutes just for safety reasons but that did it!

Ok, cool. In a day or so your records will all update, and the site should work even with IPv6 enabled. happy.gif

Sweet. Just wanted to add that I re-enabled IvP6 hours ago and the site is still up and living, although I haven't done much around it. Hope that helps any. Good luck!

Not sure if this has been brought up already, but I can't seem to find an archived-threads subforum anywhere and the link in this month's Community Thread that claims to point to last month's doesn't actually point anywhere valid. Did all the archived threads get deleted during the server move?

Good point, an unintended removal.

I've moved the GPX+ Archives section back to a visible spot (within the GPXPlus Discussion forum).

Is there any way to get to the full site from a mobile device without going to the index page? This page is still not working, and I cannot hand in explorations from the mobile site, nor can I battle, which is a part of many explorations. I don't have a home computer right now, so if the mobile index page is broken, I really can't do explorations.

I mean, I know bugs happen and I don't mind having to wait, but is there a work-around i can use in the meantime?

I'm working on the 'Dedicated' achievement and hatching Slime Slugma eggs to qualify.
On Sep 22 server time I hatched three Slime eggs and checked that they counted for the achievement after hatching each one. I saw the number raise each time but I could've sworn that it dropped back down for the first two (I'm sure it went from 32/50 to 33/50 and then back to 32/50) before the last one that I hatched right before the reset that just happened finally stuck (it seems).

Also I just adopted another Slime Slugma bred by my Daycare and, while the egg was still in the daycare, the number displayed as 34/50 then changed back to 33/50 after I adopted it.

I don't really know what's going on here, whether I'm mistaken or it's actually a glitch. Also I have no idea if anything specific triggered the number to go down again if I'm not mistaken. All I was doing between hatches was adopting more eggs, hatching them and clicking pokemon. I tried monitoring the third one mentioned above but, as I said, it stayed at 33/50 so I don't really know what's going on.

Not quite the right place to put your question, but did you released your Slime Slugmas?

You can edit it through the "My Controls" link at the very, very top of the forums page (above the banner, above the tabs).

I thought that it might have something to do with the move since I never noticed the problem before that. Also, no, I did not release them.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I've had a problem for the past week or so whenever I activate my Mobile Walker. I activate it at home and get a bit of experience, when I activate it on my mobile it SHOULD jump like 30-40 levels, but I'm lucky if I get 1 level. This irritates me even more because I'm doing the "Through the Looking Glass" Exploration and have to level a Ninetales/Shiftry/Froslass/Zoroark to level 100. I usually put Exploration Pokémon I have to level in my Mobile Walker because I'm usually done with the "Level these Pokémon to level ___" task within 2-3 Mobile Walker activations.

If you don't move a significant amount of kilometers, then no, you should not jump 30-40 levels. The reason why you and many others see this happening, is that different devices and different programs on the same device even use different means to get your position, with different degrees of accuracy. This is pretty much well know, there isn't really anything that can be done about it.

As of today, the mobile site minus the index works fine on Google Chrome, but on Safari it's stuck at the login page. And the login box doesn't show up; just a blank page with GPXPlus Mobile's header.

I am experiencing the same issue... but its12 days later... on the mobile site, I get the header bar in red (not purple, which indicates that I am logged in- when the header bar IS purple that is) and I tried accessing every mobile site page, and even the full gpx.plus/mob/1 or whatever, but I can't seem to access mobile GPX right now.

I will admit- I posted a forum post (redundant much?) about this issue (read above segment), since I'm not a big "Forum poster" or even visitor- I wasn't really sure where to post, or how to navigate or what to LOOK for concerning issues, so I apologize for spam posting or whatever, I can honestly say I don't know what I'm doing, which I know is no excuse.... but forums and chat sites are not really my thing...

Posted by: Pikagrue Apr 1 2016, 01:23 AM

I am not sure if this is at all related to the update, but the index page on mobile is still somewhat crippled. It loads, but it no longer shows any status information.

Previously, notifications such as pokemon returning from underground, eggs ready to hatch, weather, the fact that it's a plus day, these would all be shown in some form on the index page. Now, it's nada, zip, zilch.

It's nothing of critical import, but it's still a minor annoyance, especially because there is currently no way to determine the weather or plus status from mobile without loading the full site, and from a phone, well, that sucks.
