I have a subscription to Xbox Live and want to connect my console wirelessly. I already have a Belkin 802.11g wireless router that connects my laptop. I know I need to purchase an adapter or some type of receiver to connect to the Xbox but I was wondering if I have other options besides purchasing a $100 Xbox brand USB adapter. I've tried searching the internet for answers but it's all so confusing. I am watching an item on ebay now:
"D-Link DWL-G820 Wireless G Gaming Bridge Adapter" It it supposed to be compitable with Xbox 360 via ethernet cable but I don't want to bid until I'm sure whether it is compatible with my Belkin router. ________________ xbox 360 controller battery xbox 360 cable for vshopmall Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer |

I'm assuming then you have the original xbox 360 and have taken a look at this?
I'm looking at this adapter thing and from the looks of it, you use an ethernet cord to plug the 360 into the adapter, which, in theory, picks up your signal from the router? Sounds like an unneeded and unnecessary step. An ethernet cord plugged directly into your router to your 360 will work just fine with less steps. You can get a 50 foot cord for less than 15 bucks. Here's the guide on a wired connection. It's easy. Just plug and connect. |
