Okay, so the idea of a revived Pokemon being sterile just bugs me. It makes ya wonder how extinct Pokemon are still alive too. :U
So I've got this idea that, I have indeed procrastinated to post. What if we could breed fossil Pokemon BUT they DO NOT produce fossil Pokemon. Like this: Male + Female = As opposed to... Male + Female =/= And fossil pokemon are thrown in their proper groups. So I can breed fossil Rampardos with Mareep and only get normal Cranidos and Mareep. This basically makes fossil pokemon the only novelties not able to produce more novelties as of yet. -------------------- |

But you can just get a regular pokenon pair to breed them with..? This. This idea does seem pointless. -------------------- |

Not really.
What if you want to breed the fossil pokemon just for the hell of it? Maybe the lab won't cooperate and the shelter doesn't spawn any Pokemon to view. Besides, what are the odds they'll add fossil + fossil = fossil? Then what's the point in adding genders to the fossils. :T If you don't care then don't comment. -------------------- |

If you don't care then don't comment. By the same logic, if you do not like people's opinions, then do not post a thread asking for them? I personally think it's rather redundant. Other novelties that can breed are able to do so because they can also breed more of themselves. Fossils will never breed more of themselves, since that destroys the purpose of the fossil items, so it makes no sense to have them breed. Your example shows two fossil relis breeding a regular reli. If fossils only ever breed their normal version, then it's pointless, because you can easily go pick up reli eggs in the shelter and breed those for the exact same result. -------------------- |

I support this idea, actually.
For example, some people might want to get their eggs only from the Lab, breeding, events and summoning where possible; this would mean it would be easier for these people to get the fossil Pokemon (I mean not the resurrected ones, the in-game ones). Others might want to have a slightly more interesting parentage, and yet others may want to breed them to represent a character or something. (I know I have many Pokemon representing characters, and I'm sure others do too.) It shouldn't be too much work, either - or at least I don't think so. And people who don't want to don't have to~ -------------------- |

The idea of the fossils to have genders, is because their counterparts have genders too. Why create a novelty based on a pokémon with a gender, to make the novelty with no gender? I support this idea, actually. And people who don't want to don't have to~ But the thing is, unless I'm mistaken, when you resurrect in-game you just get say, a Kabuto, right? Well Kabuto and the other in-game fossil Pokémon are uncommon in the lab.(Except for Aerodactyl which is rare) I myself see quite a lot of these eggs in there. The Fossils are so old that certain parts aren't working properly anymore, which is why they can't breed, yup yup.
