"Humans have been disappearing all of the world of Pokemon, and those that have yet to disappear are frantically scurrying around, panic-stricken and confused. As people continue to vanish, a few sightings of half-Pokemon, half-human creatures nicknamed 'Gijinka' have been reported. Any scientists that have any expertise have been in a flurry of research, making every attempt to discover what has been happening to the people on this planet, and experienced Pokemon Trainers are looking everywhere for the mythical Legendary Pokemon, seeking answers from those said to watch over the planet. Nothing as of yet has been found about this mysterious phenomena, and... Darian? What's-- AHH!" CRASH! *Shuffle* "Oh, Arceus. Those who are listening right now, the cameraman, Darian, has vanished before my eyes. Oh Arceus, Arceus save u--" CRASH! ... ..... .......

30 years later...
The world is devoid of humans, and creatures that go by the name of 'Gijinka' have come to be the dominant species of the Pokemon world. 30 years ago every human being had mysteriously vanished, leaving a few hundred of these Poke-Human beings scattered over the land, who eventually concentrated into towns and cities, though they may be few and sparse. The ruins of humanity haunt the lands, forever abandoned and lost in myth as the years passed. For the past 20 years the livings of Pokemon and Gijinka have been peaceful, the original bearers of the half-Pokemon bodies having gotten used to their sudden presence and had learned to breed, forming communities not very developed and living off of inquiry and myths. Since that long-ago incident not a single legendary Pokemon has been seen, so things have been quiet.

However, recently things have gone awry. For the past six moons no Pokemon or Gijinkas have evolved, and although eggs are birthed they don't hatch. Some of the larger communities have noticed this and have spread word to the smaller ones, hoping for answers. Nobody knows what's happening and people are panicking. The myths and legends of the past have been called upon for answers.


A small group of Gijinkas, unbeknown by the common people, have been experiencing...strange 'impulses' to be travelling, and though they don't know what they're travelling towards they keep walking. They've been heading towards Hoenn, seemingly drawn to route 103...

Uhhhhnnn why not something a bit unusual? Actually, what I have in mind it totally unusual. Are you a logic person, first of all? As well, are you at all interested in evolution?

And evolution is something that kinda interests me, but not so much.

Hrm.
Well maybe they're trying to get off the island, and to the mainland.
And about how they got there.... Let's maybe say they were sailing to this one place and the boat capsized and they washed up onto the shore, and it turns out the the island held the run down lab where they created Mewtwo so they can use the supplies from there to survive and stuff?

That is the best I could come up with for it being past midnight. XD

It seems really simple. I like the ones where the world is ending and your chars are chosen to save it. Actually, a PMD sounds better than a gijinka one, don't you think?

Maybe that's what our characters need to figure out. XD
They gotta figure out what happened to the legendaries. XDD

Well, we need to figure out why our characters know about the Legendaries, why they believe they used to exist at all, and why they decide to take action in locating the legendaries. It would be a lot easier for them to start searching if they were driven by somethings that threatened all of the Gijinkas or all of Pokemon or even the world. I just don't know what to use. I don't think it should be something too subtle, like the evolutionary stones stopped working or something. Any ideas that you can conjure at one in the morning?

Maybe the legendaries are dying, and as say, Kyogre dies, the water starts to slowly disappear.
Unless that idea wouldn't work, which I am seeing a few flaws in it.
Curses! If only it were earlier in the night!
