You can't, you can only use R1-4 trinkets to trade in for sky gifts

This sounds real exciting! I can't wait until I've played long enough to have the necessary amounts of the trinkets eligible for trading in to start participating with the sky gift feature. I haven't received any [yet] but then again I'm just back in the game now and wouldn't expect to right now. It does sound like fun and another way to help everyone equally. Yay!

It's been e few months since I've seen sky gifts..I sent like three or four sky gifts every week, but are there still many people who sent sky gifts?

I've been getting a Sky Gift on average about once every three to six weeks or so. They're definitely less frequent now that the "ooh this is new" rush has worn off, but they're definitely still coming.
I know it isn't really helpful, but try becoming mutual Pal Pad friends with as many people as you can. I know when I send Sky Gifts, I don't want to waste the one-of-your-choice I get after five randoms, but I don't have anyone in particular I care to send a ton of Sky Gifts, so I just kind of rotate randomly around my Pal Pad list so everyone there gets one eventually. I bet a lot of other people do too, so being mutual Pal Pad friends with people will help you get their Sky Gifts. I send them when I have enough trinkets. I went on a spree a few days ago. Not received any in a while though. I do go through my Pal Pad and gift to those as well when possible.

I've only gotten a few Sky Gifts since this started, and I've loved each and every one of them-I'm hoping to get more in the future, so I've started to open the trinket boxes I've saved up, also in the hopes to get different trinkets...though I missed June's trinkets since I was busy on another site for most of last month ^ ^;
