I've been using the power to compensate maturity gains, but is it making any difference or should I save my pass orbs for other things?

The problem is that snow lasts anywhere between 1-3 hours and Flame Power is only active for 15 minutes (30 minutes/day.) I personally wouldn't use Flame Power for that but YMMV.
